| iPhone 7 "unable to activate an update is needed" Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:08 PM PDT So I have an iPhone 7 (A1660) that was working perfectly fine (no apple care). Only repairs done to it was a screen replacement from a 3rd party independent repair shop. I updated to the latest update and a couple of days later I started experiencing the "no service" issue. I decided to restore the device thinking it was a software issue. I restored the device and was unable to get through "activate my iphone" interface because of an error "unable to activate an update is needed" although I am on 13.1.3. So I decided to take it to the apple store as a result since I saw that they had a repair program for the A1660 experiencing "no service" and I received word back it was liquid damaged and expect me to pay $319+ for a new one. My concern is how would a device that was working perfectly fine (besides the recent no service issue) until I restored it become water damaged when water was never a factor into "destroying" my iPhone. | Posted: 23 Oct 2019 07:20 PM PDT after updating my phone to 12.4.2 i noticed that my flashlight doesnt work as well as the flash camera. it actually works if i turn off and on my phone but only for a short time. whenever i open the torch i just shows kinda small yellow light how to fix this :/ will resetting all setting help?? | This is probably a really dumb question. Posted: 23 Oct 2019 03:44 PM PDT Can I use my charger for my iPhone XS with my iPhone 11 Pro? I know it won't be fast charging, but I seriously don't want to keep unplugging the charger/wall adapter and carrying it with me in case I need to charge my phone. Likelihood of me finding a USB-C port to plug it in is zero to none otherwise. Just making sure I won't ruin the iPhone 11 Pro by using an older/different style charger. Thank you!! I spend that hour checking my mail and using it as a remote. The only reason I have convinced them to not turn on those parental control thingies, is because I said "that would be like barring my bedroom windows when you can just check if I'm there". | iPhone 5 can’t delete a broken app Posted: 23 Oct 2019 08:17 AM PDT I have an iPhone 5 that I use as a spare, and I friend has been borrowing it for the past couple months. I got it back last week and wanted to clear off the apps they installed without resetting the phone. I was deleting their accounts and history from safari and chrome and deleted all their apps but one of them didn't have the little "X" to press to delete it. This app is called "Sileo" and when I try to open it the screen turns white for a second then goes back to the home screen. I was wondering if there is a way to delete broken apps like this without formatting through iTunes as I don't want it to update. [link] [comments]  |
