[Update] FlashBack - Changing the way we do setups (100% off indefinitely) + Source Code

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 01:13 PM PDT

Hi all! I'm just dropping by to let you all know I've recently decided to open-source and waive costs for FlashBack, the iOS setup manager I've spent the last >year developing from scratch and maintaining to support iOS 9 - 12.4 (with a likelyhood of being fairly futureproof).

I started this during a vacation I took In august of 2018 as a personal alternative to Setback by GroovyCarrot, and while I intended to provide long dedicated support for FlashBack, it's proven difficult as I prepare for college and start a full time job.

This is not an announcement that FlashBack is discontinued, just that I want others to be able to take up the opportunity of updating it, modifying it, or fixing any issues that may be found. I'll continue to manage pull requests if any other developers are interested in making their own changes that they would like reflected on the official branch of FlashBack, bug fixes or UI updates or the sort.

FlashBack's development was separated into 3 Github repos, because development was mainly split in two streams, the backend scripts and the frontend app, the third is to set up the DEB packaging:

    XCode Project: https://github.com/MPG13/FlashBack

    FlashBack Scripts: https://github.com/MPG13/FlashBackScripts

    FlashBack DEB repo: https://github.com/MPG13/FlashBackCompile

Each of these repos have instructions on how to compile FlashBack with them.

Thank you all for your support over the last year, this has been my proudest project, and from it I've learned a lot (like that I am awful at UI design and XCode storyboarding, thanks Dave :P). Anyway, if anyone has any questions about FlashBack or development, I'm still more than happy to work with other eager developers to work on FlashBack!

Another note, if you take a peek at the XCode project, it's a really good way to make a simple GUI wrapper for a script on iOS devices.

FlashBack is subject to the GNU GPL 3.0 License

    [Release] Phantom Beta (iOS 12)

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 10:31 PM PDT

Phantom beta for those who dont know is a snapchat tweak made by cokepokes. He has recently updated this tweak an hour ago. This tweak is undetected on snapchat version 10.60. If you dont know how to downgrade, dont worry. Phantom has a built in downgrade option as soon as you attempt to launch a higher snapchat version.

Get it at his repo here

    https://cokepokes.github.io

Current known issues: Some people are experiencing snapchat crashes on unc0ver like myself. Chimera however seems to work

[Discussion] Those who are jailbroken, what is the best tweak you use? Explain what makes it so good.

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 06:17 PM PDT

Just a friendly poll to see what everyone says their BEST tweak are and why they praise it so good. The goal of this is to get people talking about their favourite tweak and maybe get more awareness to others who are on the fence or unaware of them.

Simply list the tweak and say why it's so good. You can also add the repo name and link as well as the price of the tweak for others if you wish.

For me, my top tweak would have to be [mikoto] from {Karen's Repo} found at https://Cydia.akemi.ai/. Mainly because it blocks ads on YouTube and allows background playback. So I took my playlist from Spotify, made a playlist on YouTube, and now I can basically get Spotify for free. The only downside is there isn't a way to remove the gaps between songs, but I think I can live with that. As well, there's a bunch of system tweaks on the lock and home screens, app switcher, status bar, Notification Center and other system behaviours (remove the sound and vibration when plugging in your phone for example).

    [DISCUSSION] Do not use WhoozItPro!

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 04:59 PM PDT

    Dear jailbreakers,

It has recently came to my attention that the apps that are used by WhoozItPro for instance "TrueCaller" dumps all of your contacts with names and other info to their database. I did not know about this until I installed WhoozItPro on a secondary device and found out that all my contacts their names we're visible. I hope to make people aware of this before they install this shit to their device.

The main things I'd like to do is have Siri lock my phone, unlock my phone with a phrase, and respring when asked but the app is confusing and I can't seem to find other articles or videos explaining it better.

[Request] A tweak to allow you to “lock” certain conversations to the top of the “Messages” app?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 02:53 PM PDT

Edit: The bot had what I was looking for! If anyone else wants this, follow the link in the bot (if you can) or use the following:

    Repo: http://skylerk99.github.io/ Tweak: MsgPin

I also appreciate everyone else's responses saying they've tried it on their devices. I can confirm that it does work in my iPhone 6S running iOS 12.4. This does not mean it works for every iPhone 6S on iOS 12.4, but for me it does and it should for 99.9% of others.

Original: Not sure if there's one out there, I tried doing research but didn't really find anything.

Basically, what this would (hopefully) do is you can prioritize certain conversations to the top of your list. For example, your wife/husband/significant other or your parents or close friends that you message regularly. Sometimes these conversations get pushed down if other people you don't talk to that much either message you or you message them.

It would be great if you could always lock a contact or two to the top of the messages app so that you don't have to scroll down to find it.

Has this already been done? Does anyone else think this would be useful or just me?

[Question] will eclipse be getting an update to better improve some UI elements? Eg black text on black background.

    Posted: 21 Oct 2019 07:50 AM PDT

It would be nice even tho I guess the iOS 13 jailbreak is just around the corner so I understand if it won't happen.

Edit: or would it be possible to port the iOS 13 dark mode to older versions, I know it's a stretch but I'd honestly even pay for it
