[Question] Can we please have the mods create a sticky post for everything related to checkm8 in r/jailbreak?

I know this is very exciting news but lately my reddit feed is being swarmed with posts about checkm8 thus making it hard to see anything else.

    Thank you.

[REQUEST] Tweak to have Memoji even on versions prior to iOS 13

[Release] SuperLPM (iPhone X) - modify your iPhone X, ThermalMonitor.bundle to make low power mode save even more battery.

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 04:03 PM PDT

I suggested/requested this about 9 months ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/a3g3q1/request_enable_apples_battery_throttling_feature/) and I also remember a few others requesting/interested in the same.

So I've created a tweak that is currently for iPhone X only (on 12.0+) that does this: SuperLPM (iPhone X)

Upon install it will back up your ThermalMonitor.bundle and replace it with one that modifies the Low Power Mode values to save even more battery when LPM is activated.

Upon removal it will remove the modified ThermalMonitor.bundle and replace it with your originals.

This tweak works by modifying the powersaveparams in ThermalMonitor.bundle.

If I'm being very specific it modifies the CPULowPowerTarget from 1500 to 375 and the maxGPU from 45 to 5 when you enable LPM.

The links below are GeekBench comparisons of stock (non-lpm) > stock (in lpm) > LPM w/ modded ThermalMonitor.bundle:

    CPU: https://imgur.com/a/ThzU4JR

    GPU: https://imgur.com/a/wRF84RI

After installing you must reboot for the changes to take effect!!!

It can currently be found on my repo: https://superlpm.yourepo.com/

You can also download the deb file from my OneDrive: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjpxZ4xolQEfqxp_TObYDDmolUcr

This has been thoroughly tested by me personally, however, it will only currently work on iPhone X as I don't have any other devices to test. If this gets enough traction/interest I'll work on adding support for other devices; if you're currently using an older device and would like to help add support send me a PM and if you're willing we can work on it.

Edit: Added link to the DEB on my OneDrive & GeekBench score comparisons.

[Release] Roman - Turn the modern iOS status bar time to roman numerals!

Hey guys, I saw that request post on here yesterday, so I decided to make Roman using code from an unreleased tweak.

Roman works with the modern iOS status bar only.

    Depiction: https://dyn.dev/buy/https://repo.dynastic.co/package/com.blakeboxberger.roman

Also, if you missed it, Bazzi 2 is out now with 4 brand-new (modernized) icon styles!

    Hope you like the tweak!

Awesome news for people who prefer Sileo over Cydia and are on an Unc0ver jb. The release date is set for October 13th. After talking with Diatrus it remains unknown if Cydia and Sileo will be compatible with each other at the same time. Either way it is exciting.

[Discussion] Android app to execute Checkm8?

    Posted: 01 Oct 2019 12:09 AM PDT

Hi guys, I'm a pretty experienced Android developer (and general tinkerer) and thought that you could just develop an app that executes the exploit (making the fact that it's tethered less painful) on the go. I know it makes more sense to people with iPad's who have Android phones than people with iPhone's but it could be a good idea anyway?

It shouldn't be too hard as I believe there's a pure C port of the explicit out there which should be pretty easy to make play nicely with the NDK.

[Tutorial] Blocking Ads on Cellular & Wi-Fi (no VPN)

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 08:34 AM PDT

Q: Why shouldn't I just use one of the many VPN ad-blockers on the App Store?

    • A: An always running VPN causes battery drain.

    Q: Why shouldn't I just use a host blocker?

    • A: I think? host blocking tweaks don't persist outside of your jailbreak. Also this implementation is lighter than using a host blocker (less device hangup/stress).

This tutorial will explain how to accomplish adblocking regardless of network connectivity using a native iOS profile capability normally only available for supervised devices. (It's kind of like on device PiHole capability)

Pre-requisite: Get WeBlock by FutureMind. This app lets you create proxy rules to block ads and runs on device (no privacy worries about skimmed browsing data). This app will let you choose adblocking lists and create your own rules. (No content blocking)

    OR

If you do not have WeBlock or don't wish to purchase it to create custom rules, you may use prebuilt lists such as EasyList (used by ABP on Chrome).

1.) Download and install iSupervisor from here https://github.com/sukarodo/iOS-Repository/tree/master/debians (use Filza to install)

2.) REBOOT AND REJAILBREAK AFTER YOU INSTALLED IT. Now in your settings app at the top it should say this device is being supervised.

3.) If you're using WeBlock: On your PC/Mac paste the contents of this website into a notedpad: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tails1/AdblockProxies/master/weblock.mobileconfig If you're not using WeBlock: and would rather use a prebuilt list like EasyList skip to step 4b.

4.) In notepad, look for and edit " <string>PUT YOUR WEBLOCK URL HERE</string> " replace text inside the string with your weblock URL. This can be found in the tutorial tab/sidebar of weblock. (will look something like wl.is/8luBs6.js)

4.b) Non-WeBlock users: If you want to use a prebuilt list, just install this mobileconfig directly from your phone! (No PC/Mac needed). This mobileconfig just inserts the EasyList GitHub pac hosted by EasyList themselves. - Done. You can refer to step 8.

5.) Save the file as proxy.mobileconfig make sure it isn't a txt file, it should be a .mobileconfig file.

6.) Upload the file to a host site or email it to yourself - you need to be able to access to file from SAFARI. I emailed it to myself using gmail and went to gmail.com.

7.) Back on your iPhone - Download the file from wherever you put it USING SAFARI. It should ask you to install a profile. Open the settings app to view the downloaded profile and install it. If you get an error about your device being unsupervised you probably didn't reboot like step 2 said.

8.) You can now uninstall iSupervisor to remove the supervised warning in the settings app. Your adblock proxy profile should remain installed in your profiles.

9.) WeBlock now works on Cellular and Mobile. You will only have to follow this process once - any changes made using the weblock app will work because its using your local proxy file.

[UPDATE] [REPOST] Lisa 1.0.4 - Fully customizable edge border, new hiding features, fixed bugs, etc.

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 12:12 PM PDT

    Changelog

    • (Lisa settings > Notifications) Added an edge border feature that includes customization such as:
    • Always ON edge.
    • Animations (7 right now).
    • Animation speed.
    • Repetition count.
    • Edge width.
    • Custom color.
    • Custom gradient.
    • Gradient changing speed.
    • (Lisa settings > Notifications) Options to hide notifications (yes!) and hide notifications background

    • (Lisa settings > Notifications) Tap to reveal notifications. This option works as follows:
    1. First tap gesture fill reveal notifications.
    2. Second tap gesture will reveal the lock screen (LS).

    • (Lisa settings > Customization) Option to hide SimpleLS.
    • Fixed a bug where the phone would freeze after a phone call.

    Where can I get it?

    Notes

    • By default the edge border color will match the average/dominant color of the last notification icon.
    • If you enable both colors (custom color and gradient) the color that will be shown is gradient.
    • If you enable "Always ON edge" by default it will apply the gradient. If you want custom color, enable it.
    • Right now the gradient only supports two colors (of your choosing). Later on I will add support for a gradient of more than 2 colors.
    • I will be adding support for AOD once I implement a proper burn-in protection.
    • Setting repetition count equal to zero will repeat the animation "infinitely".

    • Max for helping me with the last piece of the puzzle (the border corners). Thank you Max!

[Question] How Do I Install Remote Messages?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 06:49 PM PDT

I'm looking to get iMessage on Windows and it seems like Remote Messages for iOS 9 is the way to go.

I'm not able to purchase it from Cydia since it appears that the Cydia Store is shut off. Is there any other way I can buy a copy of Remote Messages? Also, I'm on iOS 9.3.6, is there a preferred iOS version which works best with Remote Messages?

    Thanks!

[Discussion] What ever happened to Carbon?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 08:01 PM PDT

Carbon was released by u/OxideLabs and was quickly hailed as the best dark mode tweak ever. After the controversy of stolen code from Dune, the tweak has been dead. Now they are inactive on reddit, haven't fixed some issues with messages and other various apps, and the tweak still drains battery.

[Question] Is there a table that shows what SEP version is required for each iOS version?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2019 03:06 PM PDT

Like the SEP for 11.4.1, and then 12.4.1 what other versions would it work with ios wise?

Trying to decide if I should update my device on 11.4.1 (that has a jailbreak) - to 12.4.1 (with no jailbreak) and then wait for checkm8 to get sorted out. I want to stay on 11 or 12, and am hoping someone makes kernel patches for 10.3.3 so I can eventually dual boot that for 32 bit app support. And have my base OS be 11.4.1 or 12.4.1. I assume 12.4.1 will stop being signed soon, is that probably likely? I don't want to be on 13. Thanks for any info.
