What are the most important features of the Apple Watch to you? Posted: 01 Oct 2019 03:21 AM PDT My personal rankings of the Apple Watch features that have the greatest impact on my daily life: 1) an alarm clock that wakes me up while allowing my girlfriend to stay asleep 2) giving me constant visual reminders of important tasks for the days that I otherwise may forget about (specifically, with Fantastical / Reminders / Things app complications) 3) making outdoor runs much more enjoyable by allowing me to have all the smartphone functionality I would need (music, radio, podcasts, audiobooks, phone calls, texts, emails, etc.) without the need to put my phone in my pocket or strap it to my arm (I find both of those options to be annoying) 4) not having to keep my phone in my pocket but still being able to receive notifications (if I am so inclined). This one probably applies more to when I'm in the house as opposed to outside of the house. When I'm lounging around, I just don't like to keep my phone in my pocket, but I usually still want to receive potentially important notifications. The Apple Watch is a good solution for this. Obviously, the Apple Watch does a lot of other things, but those are the 4 reasons that actually push me to be an Apple Watch user. [link] [comments]

Is it worth it to buy a watch even if I mostly just go to exercise classes? Posted: 01 Oct 2019 06:02 AM PDT This would be my first ever Apple Watch. As far as exercise goes I sometimes run outside (and take my Xs and AirPods to listen to Spotify.) Other days I go to classes such as spinning, body pump etc. Is the watch worth it for these types of activities? I need a new exercise watch as my old Garmin broke, but I'd rather buy the Apple Watch so I could use it with my phone. I just wonder if I'd really use it, I do use my phone a lot but I'm also a teacher so can't use it while giving class. Thanks for the input! [link] [comments]

Can’t find the noise app on my series 4? Posted: 01 Oct 2019 05:59 AM PDT Just got my series 4 and I'm still figuring it out so sorry if this is a dumb question. But I know the 4 and 5 can measure the decibels of your surroundings but I can't seem to find the app anywhere. I'm under the impression that the app should be on my watch, which it's not. There is also no noise app option when viewing the "my watch" section of the Apple Watch app on my phone, which I believe there should be. Lastly, the noise app is not an option when customizing my watch faces, which I believe it should be. Basically the watch app seems to be nowhere in my watch or phone, and I can't seem to download it from anywhere either. I have a series 4 and have the latest software updated. Thank you!! Is Siri becoming progressively slower at handling requests? Or is it just me? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 08:07 PM PDT For context, I have an iPhone 8 and an S3 watch. Since the iOS 13 update, I've noticed that Siri takes significantly longer to send a text (or do anything) if I use "Hey Siri". I don't have very many apps on my watch, but did have to clear out some space to fit the Watch OS update. Had anyone else been having this problem? I can't be the only one. [link] [comments]
Calendar complication not syncing, any help? Posted: 01 Oct 2019 05:24 AM PDT On my phone I have selected the calendars properly but it's not mirroring the selection to the watch. I tried to manually select the calendars, but the selections aren't saved. Any help on this? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Oct 2019 06:55 AM PDT Since updating to 6.0.1 my S5 battery drain seemed fixed! I am about 2 hours off the charger now and still at 100%. Before it was draining about 5% every hour. Nothing turned off or changed except the update. Everyone having similar experiences? [link] [comments]

Has a fix been found for downloading audible books to Apple Watch? Posted: 01 Oct 2019 07:21 AM PDT I'm sorry I wasn't sure if this was more of an audible or Apple watch thread question. I saw a post a long time ago about this. I have tried turning everything off and on, pairing/unpairing, I deleted the audible app from phone and watch, and yes I made sure it was on the charger. Still every time it says the audible app can't connect to my watch. I have iPhone X and Apple Watch series 4. [link] [comments]

Pokémon Go adventure sync as possible battery issue? Posted: 01 Oct 2019 06:43 AM PDT Is anyone running Pokémon Go adventure dunce and seeing high usage and battery drain. My Series 4 is dead in 9-10 hours. Disabled Pokemon today to see what the difference is. [link] [comments]
Titanium pin in series 5 edition extra sport band? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 09:38 PM PDT The ceramic series 5 edition comes with an extra sport band with a ceramic pin. The metal pin that came with my titanium series 5 appears darker than the typical stainless pins used in the sport band. Is it titanium? See picture. https://i.imgur.com/rMirnQG.jpg [link] [comments]

Cannot find the cost to add an LTE AW to Verizon plan anywhere Posted: 01 Oct 2019 08:01 AM PDT I am sorry this is so specific but I have a personal line with unlimited data and watch to add my S4. I see a price to add a watch to it's own plan but not adding on to my existing plan. Any help? [link] [comments]
Is it worth buying the cellular on the Apple Watch ? Posted: 01 Oct 2019 08:01 AM PDT
Posted: 01 Oct 2019 07:54 AM PDT My mobile provider still doesn't support AW cellular. Switching providers will force me to get more expensive plans i don't need. I may still get cellular version, just in case. When I go to the gym, i can jump on their wifi and hoping to leave the phone on airplane mode in the locker. Can I still do iMessaging or voicecalling over wifi? I use Whatsapp and Skype, but dont think they are on AW. What would work over wifi? Would like to stay connected to wife/kids if needed and a big reason to get the AW is not to carry the phone around. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
