    Trying to connect iPhone 6 to my Apple Watch 3g and it keeps popping this up even though my iPhone is updated to the most recent version.. I don’t know what to do it’s driving me insane please help

    WatchOS 6.x: Disable ALL Wireless??

    I noticed that ever since updating to Watch OS v6 on my Series 4 (LTE) there seems to be no way to disable ALL wireless. Airplane mode used to do it, but now with Airplane mode on it's still running wireless and connecting to my phone. Playing podcasts on my phone automatically hijacks my watch screen (guessing there's a setting to stop that?).

    Call me too conservative but trying to minimize wireless (and security) exposure. Is there a simple way to keep it offline unless I choose otherwise, or has Apple just redefined Airplane Mode to mean "not really"?

    My Mac won’t turn on

    I have a Mac book pro (I think) and it won't turn on. I was using it and somehow it "died" at 40%!?! It's been charging for about 10 minutes already and NOTHING I can do will turn it on! Somebody plzzzzz help me I'll be in huge trouble with my parents if I can't figure this out.

    Restricting Netflix on iPad

    I feel this is a long shot and I already know the answer, but I thought I would see if there is something I don't know.

    I have an iPad in a medical office. iPad is for the patients. Our patients stay long-term and use the iPad to watch shows or play games. We try to keep people from watching inappropriate content on Netflix, Hulu, etc. by setting content restrictions on our account.

    This works until our patients logout of our Netflix account and sign-in to their own. Is there any way to keep people from signing out of an account on an iPad for apps like Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc?

    1TB Drive Errors

    So I plugged in my 1 TB drive that has a password on it and it didn't show up in finder after I put in the password.

    I checked disk utility and it was shown, but it was full at around 999GB. It also was not mounted, and right clicking on it would cause disk utility to freeze.

    Last week it only was filled to 300ish GB. I haven't been ejecting it properly (my bad) and when I ran first aid on it this is the error I got:

    Notes Password Not Working

    I've had a note in my Notes app under a password that i've opened weekly for months now, but just recently the same password has stopped working, I know i'm not using the incorrect password as it was simple and the hint I had was enough to remind me if I did forget. I've tried going into the settings through the Settings app to reset password, but even after it says that I've reset the password, the new password won't work either? I'm not sure if it's an issue with IOS13 as I did get into the note a couple days after updating without any issues. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Help! I can't revert my desktop back from iCloud!

    So I thought I'd save space by switching my desktop to iCloud, but I somehow can't revert it back. I did the whole system preferences > iCloud > options > desktop and unchecked it, but now it's an empty blue desktop and my files and folders only show up in Finder.

    So if I try to drag it out of the folder in Finder it says it's going to disappear from iCloud and won't save.

    2012 13" MBP doesn't power on

    Hello all,

    I have a 13" MBP that will not boot. The battery display on the side of the computer shows that there is an increasing charge in the battery (the computer hasn't been powered on in months) but nothing happens when I push the power button. The computer worked fine the last time I used it.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Finder's File->Compress Selected Files creates a zip archive with no compression?

    AFAICS, using finder zip doesn't do any compaction at all - the size of the archive is the sum of the sizes of the files.

    Any way to improve it?

    Hard Drive not recognized in Recovery Mode

    Went through a situation where the hard drive has been corrupted and I have put in a new hard drive. I boot it up in recovery mode but when i go to disk utility to format it correctly the Hard drive doesn't pop up. It doesn't seem to recognize it. Any advice?

    Looking to upgrade my MBP

    Hello all,

    I have a 2012 MBP. I'm thinking about buying a Retina model, but I'm not 100% sure what I should look for in terms of GPU and CPU. I'd like something with more performance than what I have now - I'd like to get at least a few years out of it, and I do some occasional gaming. For reference, my current GPU is the Intel HD Graphics 4000 (1536 MB) and the 2.6 i7.

    With that being said, what would be a fair price for a MBP in excellent condition?

    Windows Mail App with iCloud Mail: Why does it make duplicate folders

    Help, Ipad pro 2017 won't stay awake

    Hello friends,

    My ipad pro 2017 10.7 inch had some accidental water damage. My water bottle split inside my backpack while my laptop and ipad was inside (I know, I am an idiot and I learn my lesson to just carry bottles in my hands). It was working immediately after the damage so I didn't think anything of it, so I took a nap. When I woke up, it was stuck in the apple icon loop for around 2 hours. At some point, the ipad broke out of the loop (after I tried force restarting it) and I was able to use it for the next 4 hours like normal (to study and look over notes). I thought that perhaps my ipad made it through, however now whenever I use it, it will go to sleep mode after 1-2 minutes of being on. What should I do? Should I try turning it off? I already have a genuis appointment, but I really need my laptop for finals in the next 3 days so i just need this to hold off until the weekend when I could bring it in.

    Best way to back up an old iMac?

    Hi! I recently got a new MBP after having a few years break from macs. I had an old iMac (first gen Intel iMac running snow leopard) but it freezes on desktop every time i start it. I have some Logic projects and such in it that i'd like to get off of it. What would be the most efficient way of doing it? I just get the beachball immediately after the desktop shows up, so i really can't do anything in the OS itself.

    I tried safe boot but when i do that it doesn't even load the menu bar before going beachball. I tried booting in to a Linux live USB (with the idea of backing important stuff to another USB stick) but i can't get it to show up in the boot menu, i tried multiple USB sticks, and all the ports in the computer, even tried making the live USB with my Windows PC, and Mac, nothing seems to work. I do remember booting it to a Live CD way back when, but don't really have a disc drive anymore. Single user mode launches fine, i just feel like it's a bit tedious way of trying to back stuff up, i guess if nothing else works i could try that, but does anybody else have alternate suggestions?

    Airpods connecting and disconnecting constantly (every other second)��

    iPhone XS Airpods (Gen 2) IOS 13

    I have had my airpods for 2 months now and they have been fine up until now. Through several experiments, I have deducted the problem is with my iPhone XS rather than with the airpods.

    My airpods can connect to any other device (MacBook, iPad), but, when using other Bluetooth devices (friends airpods/wireless earbuds) to connect to my iPhone XS it disconnects and reconnects. The weird thing is the airpods actually connect to my phone, but, once I play any audio it disconnects and reconnects over and over (as stated earlier). Idk why it only disconnects once I play audio/video/game/any sound; for example, I'm scrolling through instagram with airpods connected and we are chill, but once I tap on the video to hear the audio it begins cutting in and out.

    My theories on why I'm having this problem are as follows: - I just updated to IOS 13, so it may be software. - The "Bluetooth chip" in my phone is damaged, meaning there may be hardware damage. (I just dropped it recently but no external damage) - Apple sucks

    I have already done everything google has told me to do. - Reset airpods - Reset phone - Turn off "Automatic Detection" - I fully charged the case and airpods etc.

    From what I believe, it is just a Bluetooth issue with my phone. Does anyone know how to fix it? Or will I need to spend money at the Apple store? What are your opinions on this?

    Can't access Apple ID to set up new iPhone

    So my old iPhone's (iPhone 6) touchscreen no longer works. The bottom two-thirds of the touchscreen do not react to contact. So I got a new iPhone (iPhone XR) and am currently setting it up. When I login with my Apple ID it says I need a verification code that was sent to my old phone, which I cannot access. I am however logged into my iTunes program on my laptop and it is authorized. Is there anyway I can log in using my Apple ID to my new phone?

    EDIT: I am also on a family sharing thing if that helps.

    iPhone Upgrade Program 13th Payment

    Did anyone else who preordered and upgraded to the iPhone 11 get charged the 13th payment for their old upgrade program loan before a hold was placed?

    I feel like I was screwed over. I ordered at 8:03am EST on 9/13 with an expected delivery date of 9/27. My loan payment date was 9/20 and they decided to ship my phone on 9/21, which is when they placed the old loan on hold and charged my 1st payment on the new one. It seems that they waited one day after my payment date to ship the new phone. Had the phone been shipped a day or two earlier, the loan would've been theoretically put on hold and the 13th payment would not have gone out.

    The upgrade program advertises that you can upgrade after making 12 payments but doesn't warn you that you can get charged for further payments, even if you try to upgrade as early as possible. This seems like a faulty system because despite placing the order well in advance of 13th payment date, it seems that Apple waited until a day after that payment date to ship the phone and place the previous loan on hold.

    Shouldn't the loan hold go into effect once an order is placed and confirmed?

    I feel like I got unfairly penalized and both Apple Support AND CitizenOne are giving me the runaround telling me the other party is responsible. Any others on the same boat/ any advice?

    SSD Swaping My MacBook Pro 13inch (Early 2011, MacBook Pro 8,1)

    My MacBook Pro (MacBook Pro 8,1) is now updated to El Capitan (thanks to u/Fin745) and I now want to swap the drive to an SSD. The laptop used to be of another family member's and I want to turn it into my personal (backup) laptop so I'd like to start of with a blank drive. But I also want to keep the old Microsoft Office that came with the laptop when it was new. My plan is to clone the current drive onto my SSD, then swap drives. After that, I then factory reset the laptop.

    1. Will it factory reset to Snow Leopard and still retain the original applications (like Microsoft Office)? (I can then just reupdate it to El Capitan)
    2. Will the laptop work when I swap the HDD back (which will still contain the OS and current files, etc)?
