| Posted: 25 Sep 2019 05:53 PM PDT Hi there, I've been using an old iPhone 4 which spontaneously turned off today: when I plugged it in, a notification said to connect to iTunes for an update. When I did, it automatically updated to iOS 7.1.2. I was then given the option to restore it to factory settings or use the latest back up which was apparently from 2017 - I chose the later. I had tried to back it up earlier this year, but apparently none of that was saved. So obviously now all my voicemail from 2018-2019 has disappeared (as have my text messages, but I don't mind that). I hadn't specifally saved any voice messages, but I had visual voicemail set up and still listened to messages from my dad regularly. He passed away earlier this year and I'm so upset that I can't hear his voice anymore. I realize this is probably my own fault from keeping such an old phone and not doing regular back ups... but is there any hope of retrieving my voicemail? Would going to the Apple store in the morning be any help at all? My cellphone provider is Bouygues Telecom (B&You, France) but I'm told they only keep voicemail for 48 hours before deleting it unless saved - so I'm assuming the reason why I still had access to it up until yesterday was because it was somehow kept by my iPhone. I'm sorry this is long and I hope I haven't left anything out, if so let me know. As you can probably tell I'm not very phone savvy, so any help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]  |

| New 13.1 update running super slow Posted: 25 Sep 2019 07:28 PM PDT New 13.1 update running super slow I have the iPhone 7 128GB and I just updated my phone last night to iOS 13.1. Everything was running fine when it was iOS 12, but now everything is super slow and delayed. My battery is all of a sudden dying like going from 70% to 50% in a matter of minutes. Is there any way to transfer over the website and app passwords, and or the email accounts to the new phone? I dont want to use iCloud for this if possible. if I do need to use iCloud, is there any way to use the iCloud, sync the info over, and then delete it from iCloud without deleting any of the info from any of the devices? I setup shortcuts using the shortcuts app to play a certain playlist for certain playlists, but none of them work. when I click it, rather it be in the widget or in the actual shortcut app; it does one of two things. | Low volume for everything (music, YouTube, ringtone, alarm, etc.) Posted: 25 Sep 2019 04:13 AM PDT So I have an iPhone Seven Plus and up until about two weeks ago it worked pretty fine. The volume level was great, I would sometimes have to turn it down cause it was so loud that I worried my roommates might hear it. I could listen to music in the shower with the bathroom fan on and hear things perfectly. I could watch videos in bed while I had my box fan on and hear things perfectly. Now, for some reason the volume level is so low even at max volume. I've already tried just about everything except for deleting updates and retrying them. Part of me thinks that's what caused it, but I'm not sure. In the past I've had a similar issue where I was listening to music and turned on silent mode as I got a notification which somehow made my volume low, but it returned to normal by the next day. If anyone has any idea that doesn't involve me going to my sound settings and screwing around with the EQ, volume limit, ringtone sound limit, or the likes (which every page on google has suggested) then that would be great.
