Posted: 30 Sep 2019 11:33 AM PDT Hey guys, I bought the iPad Air 3 a while back with the Apple Pencil and I love it for taking notes and it's basically all I carry to class now and it does the trick. However with the new desktop class browsing, I wanted to switch typing documents over to the iPad as well. Can anyone recommend some good decently priced Bluetooth keyboards, I don't want to dish out too much since I have a mbp for more demanding work sessions. I live in Canada so prices might be different from where you guys are [link] [comments]
Can you use lightning headphones and normal headphones at the same time on an iPad air? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 09:13 AM PDT The iPad air has a headphone jack and a lightning port (obviously), can I connect two different pair of headphones on those two ports? Will it work? [link] [comments]

Is there an easy way to stream movie files from a MacBook to an iPad? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 09:15 AM PDT I have a new MacBook Pro and watch films on it usually in the QuickTime format or stream from QuickTime to my Apple TV set but I can't figure out how to stream from my MacBook to my iPad. I'd love to be able to stream the file directly so it's the highest quality but if not if there's a way to mirror the screens I guess I could do that. [link] [comments]
Problem with projector after iPadOS update Posted: 30 Sep 2019 08:13 AM PDT I have been using my iPad Pro 3rd gen for presentations. I connect to the projector using the usb c to hdmi dongle. After updating to iPadOS, I have some issues with the projection screen flickering. The iPad screen itself is fine. Also, connecting with the same dongle to a computer screen is fine. The problem with the projector (actually I tested it on multiple projectors with the same result) began right after I went to iPadOS. Does anybody else have the same problem? [link] [comments]
Flip Pages or Scrolling While Using Apple Pencil Posted: 30 Sep 2019 11:30 AM PDT I've noticed that while annotating in iBooks with an Apple Pencil you can turn the page with your finger, you need to first exit annotation mode, then turn the page, then re-enter annotation mode. Similarly in OneNote you can't scroll/pan while in annotation mode. Is there no way around these limitations? I'm most interested in reading/annotation textbooks that are in ePub or PDF format, any recommendations? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2019 01:24 PM PDT I understand that the nature of matte screen protectors will produce these effects, but i am hoping there's a company that was able to reduce the rainbow problem to some degree. I don't mind some distortion, but the one I bought was terrible, making the retina screen look like a regular one. [link] [comments]
Anyone experiencing WiFi issues after iPadOS update? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 09:36 AM PDT Since I updated my 6th Gen. to iPadOS 13.1, I have been experiencing wifi issues. It would randomly disconnect. Sometimes it goes back on its own, but sometimes I need to long press the wifi icon in the control center for it to search and connect to the network. I updated to to 13.1.1 hoping it would fix it, but I still got the issue. Never had this problem before. What's worse is my warranty already expired a few days ago. Anyone with this issue? And what are possible fixes? [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2019 07:27 AM PDT I noticed that my available storage seems to be decreasing surprisingly quickly over the last few days. When gaming I frequently screen record or save game replays to my device and after checking these I've found the file size of screen records and replays saved after the 13.1 update are significantly larger than those from 12.4. As an example I saved a 1 min replay on an iPad with iOS 12.4 and the file size is 55mb (which has been the norm for the replays I've saved over the last year). The exact same replay saved on my device with 13.1.1 , is 235mb. Does anyone know why this would be and if it's possible to change anything in settings? Because this combined with the fact that you can no longer delete the unwanted parts of videos that have been trimmed means my storage is quickly going to run out. [link] [comments]
Microsoft office on ipad pro (2nd gen) Posted: 30 Sep 2019 09:35 AM PDT I have been using my ipad as my main 'computer' for college. It takes notes beautifully and handles outlook emails. However, when I'm in Microsoft word, there are lots of features missing and/or hard to find. Is there an alternative to word that still works with .doc or .docx files? An excel alternative would be appreciated. Tl;dr, Microsoft Word sucks on ipad, got any alternatives? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2019 01:17 PM PDT What apps does everyone recommend for school? Thought we could start a thread! Notes: I use and love notability and recommend it over every other app I've tried, and I tried them all. Homework organization: myHomework, this app does a great job of keeping all my homework, due dates, and exams organized and makes sure I never forget anything PDFs: PDF expert. By far the best PDF annotation and editor I've used. I also really like LiquidText for taking notes out of something. [link] [comments]

Bluetooth Tethering: Android --> iPadOS (current iPads) Posted: 29 Sep 2019 09:29 PM PDT I'm thinking of buying an iPad but would like to know if it is possible to share the data connection from my Android phone to an iPad running iPadOS using Bluetooth rather than WiFi. This works with Windows and used to work with iOS but I'm not sure if it still works (searching only shows old guides on this and nothing recent). I know that WiFi tethering works and will be much quicker but for my needs Bluetooth speeds are fine. I only need it for email and connecting to my company web-apps; I know the speeds are fine (usually capped at 1Mbps) because I use it with Windows. BT tethering is much kinder on the phone battery than WiFi tethering. Thank you in advance. [link] [comments]
Compiling .png receipts into 1 page? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 05:18 AM PDT Hi, I am looking for an application on the App Store that can combine different pictures (.png format receipts) into one PDF so that I can compile all my receipts together for my expense claim form into one document. I am currently using Dropbox to scan my receipts. Is there an app you would recommend? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2019 04:01 AM PDT Hello all, Just wondering if there is a way to manage iCloud backups with large apps on an iPad. I have been travelling and I've been import raw photos directly into Lightroom (well, directly enough, bouncing through Photos...). I've been cleaning up the photos once they are in Lightroom. I've just started getting an error saying my iPad can't backup because I have run out of space in iCloud - I subscribe to 200GB. I don't need the Lightroom app backed up to iCloud - it already uploads everything to my Creative Cloud account. Any ideas on how to manage this? Other than just deleting the current backup from iCloud and letting it do a new backup. Thanks. [link] [comments]
