iPhone 6 Plus is slow and barley responsive Posted: 31 Aug 2019 10:33 PM PDT Title pretty much says it all. The phone is obviously old, but it's always up to date. The touch screen always has a slight delay before an action is performed. And opening and closing apps is a slow process also. Is there anything I can do to speed it up and have it function a lot better overall ? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Aug 2019 11:49 AM PDT I have a little VPN icon on the top left corner of my phone. I know it's from my adblocker but i'd like it if it wasn't there. Is there any way i can disable it without disabling my adblocker? [link] [comments] |
Have fingerprint ID but no passcode & turned off phone. Posted: 31 Aug 2019 12:32 PM PDT As above, I'm registered to my mum's iphone 6 via fingerprint but she since passed away & I didn't have a charger so it switched off, when I turned it back on it wouldn't let me use the fingerprint ID and wants the passcode. I'm at my last go before it perma disables itself and I'm wondering if there is any way to re enable finger ID. She didn't have itunes to my knowledge otherwise I would have tried to look for support there, my main question is: Is there a way to reset the number of goes you have on the password? I honestly might be able to just remember the password but I'm bound to fail it a few more times and I have no way of re enabling the phone if that happens. Otherwise would apple be able to re enable the finger ID? Any suggestions are welcome, I really don't want to lose some of the photos on there. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2019 11:55 AM PDT Is there any way to have a camera folder where all the photos and videos taken with my iphone can go? it's annoying to have to go to "all photos" and scroll until i found the photo that i want, specially because i have whatsapp group chats that uploads photos and videos constantly. Posted: 31 Aug 2019 07:47 AM PDT I have an iPhone 6 that is bootlooping and won't get past the apple logo. It will boot show the apple logo then after around 10 seconds it will cut out and repeat. I'm sure I've tried everything with no joy but I'll list what I've done incase someone can help with something different. Recovery and DFU, update and restore. Fails after extracting the software. I've tried this on a PC and Mac with an original lightning cable and third party and on multiple ports. I've tried doing it with the battery disconnected and I've also tried with a brand new battery. I've taken the screen off and tried it like that and I've tried it with a different screen on, just incase! I'm really lost with this one and I'm starting to think it's a hardware issue. Although everything inside looks good. Can anyone suggest anything else? What hardware areas should I tinker around with to test? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Saving logins to safari without having them saved to keychain on iPhone Posted: 31 Aug 2019 07:26 AM PDT Using latest version of iOS on my iPhone. Is it possible to save logins to safari and have them sandboxed inside safari instead of them being saved to keychain? [link] [comments] |
Potential Malware on iPhone 8 with iOS12.4? Posted: 31 Aug 2019 01:03 AM PDT I'm a dumb dumb and clicked on a facebook messenger "youtube" link on the facebook messenger app for iPhone. The pages all loaded and went through multiple before landing on a "facebook" log in page but I quickly closed it without typing anything after being suspicious at the page changes - usually I am very aware and would never click on such a link, but I'd just woken up so wasn't thinking straight. I changed my password etc, but my question is could I potentially have malware on my phone or other malicious content such as spyware? I think I'm safe from any potential phishing but I haven't been able to find any answers online. Information about the apparent virus which has been around for years Thanks for any help, sorry if this isn't the right sub! Edit: Just noticed that there is an update for 12.4.1 so just doing this now which I believe should erase any potential malware? Correct me if I'm wrong though, but I feel better now that I'm updating [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Aug 2019 03:47 AM PDT Alright so last night I was in the toilet washing my hands and I went to pick up my phone (thankfully I flushed the toilet before obvs) when I went to pick up my phone slipped instantly dropped into the toilet without any hesitation I instantly picked it up within what one or two seconds, picked up it wiped it down etc didn't know anything about on what to do after water damage so I was using that phone as normal, but then I started to have a bad feeling and realise what just happened then I started to panic google etc on what to do about dropping your iphone in water but half the stuff I read got so confusing I just dried down the port with a q-tip (HAVENT got any rice some articles are for and against it so I've just avoided it all together) I've left it off overnight on my cupboard faced down in hopes of it drying out itself this morning, switched it on okay it was on 3% then I plugged it in it came up with a 'touch id couldn't be activated' message but I wasn't too fussed as long as it worked, I got my hopes up for a second but then I realised it felt proper warm on the home button so I took it out and there was corrosive on all of it but I just wiped it off (on the charger thingy not in the port) okay so there was something on the internet saying look at the water damage indicator, took a while to find well get the right angle to look at it, but I checked it and it isn't red it's still white, but because it's white does it mean I got it back in time and saved it?? Can I still use it as normal if I find a way to dry out the charging port?? If so could anyone please help me it'd be much appreciated :) x also btw speakers don't work and it's stuck in headphone mode in not sure why but probably to do with the water damage and the speakers sound so terrible :/// [link] [comments] |
