Will the XR successor launch in October like last year? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 01:03 AM PDT Last year the delay was allegedly due to supply issues but turned out you could walk in and buy them day 1 unless you wanted a rare color/capacity combo. I get for phones that aren't too different you ship the higher margin one first to maximize profits, but do you think this will be the case again? Haven't heard any rumors starting either way. Wishlist on the upcoming iPhones Posted: 29 Aug 2019 09:58 PM PDT Well, we now have like 10 days till the new iPhones besides other product updates. Lots of things like design and key features leaked, but I still have the final wishlist that hasn't been confirmed yet.
I don't think all of my wishlist will be happening, but why not some of them? The naming itself will have "Pro" and the invitation has "innovation" written, so I don't think my wishlist is useless. We'll get to know what Apple has achieved since the previous iPhones in 10 days. Thanks for reading! [link] [comments]
I replaced my 6s but I still have it Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:41 AM PDT I am thinking of interesting ways to use at a secondary phone, any suggestions 😅 [link] [comments]
How likely is the next iPhone to have a fingerprint sensor? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 07:17 AM PDT I have my iPhone X since its launch and for me it's perfect except the fact that it doesn't have Touch ID. Touch ID is all I need for an upgrade. Do the current leaks light some hope for having a fingerprint sensor? Thanks ahead. [link] [comments]
Are magnetic cases safe for iPhone XR? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 11:30 AM PDT I got my iPhone XR just over a months ago and got a folding case that has a magnetic latch. Although I have a screen protector, I like that the case can cover the screen to keep it safe when it's in my bag. And when I put the phone on my desk, I can fold the case back to cover the camera lens to keep it safe from scratching. The magnet is only on the side. The magnet not very powerful, although you can feel it pulling the latch strap when the strap is about 1.7cm away. However, this article on the Apple website says they don't recommend the use of magnetic cases. The article is a bit oddly worded. First, it says they don't recommend use strong magnets. But they then they say that case makers should not use magnets at all. Googling around, I see that people have had concerns about magnetic cases since the iPhone 6 days, but the general consensus is that they are safe. Any thoughts? I've tried looking for folding cases that don't have magnets, but have not been able to find any. [link] [comments]

Apple Upgrade Program - switching carriers. Posted: 29 Aug 2019 08:11 PM PDT Am I able to switch carriers at any point? The terms and conditions state that, and yet when I tried to switch from AT&T to Verizon, the Apple tech informed me I could not because the AT&T version cannot work on Verizon and they would not exchange phones. I haven't been able to get a concrete answer. Multiple people online state they're gotten photos exchanged because Apple specifically says you can switch at any time, and yet that employee said it's not possible. So can we switch carriers at any time, or do they mean only if it's certain carriers? [link] [comments]
Generic “bricks”, Apple iPad “bricks”, etc, do these harm the iPhone battery to use? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 03:23 PM PDT I have the larger iPad charger that I sometimes use for my phone and I also have various other USB outlet bricks from other electronics that I sometimes use. Am I damaging my battery by doing so and not using the official Apple iPhone charger brick? [link] [comments] |
