Moderators Needed! Application Form link inside! Posted: 29 Aug 2019 04:50 PM PDT Hey there, /r/AppleWatch! The moderator team has decided to bring additional members on board, and as such we have an application form. Once that's passed, there is an interview and then a trial period! The application form will only be open for about a week (closes on 12:01am Friday September 6th UTC-4), so if you're interested, please apply quickly or risk losing your shot! We're looking for people who are active in the community, have a history of being a constructive reddit user, and who will help us shape the future of the sub, its rules, and culture. We would ideally want to have moderator candidates identified before the inevitable rush that will follow the Apple Event on September 10th. The application form is here: https://goo.gl/forms/tp8BQyDHw4DWLWv92 Good Luck and thanks, The /r/AppleWatch mod team. [link] [comments]

How does the apple watch personally make your life a little better or easier? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 03:15 AM PDT I'm fairly new to the Watch, had it for like 2 weeks. I really like it, but I'm not yet completely convinced of its actual use other than being a really nice gadget. I'm missing support for a lot of apps. I would like to know from you guys what the main functionalities are that you use and love about your watch. Maybe I'm missing some essential stuff, although I've done my research. I'm just interested how the average user uses their watch on a daily basis :) [link] [comments]

Update to iOS13 to get WatchOS6 and then revert back to 12.4 Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:03 AM PDT If I update the iPhone temporarily to iOS13, can I update my watch and then go back with the iPhone? Would this technically work? [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:27 AM PDT So I found a seller that is selling the series 4 stainless steel for 495 USD. He's got 3 of them in stainless steel and another 2 in aluminium. The description of the ad says that they're "bought" from the UK and He's selling them without their packaging. (Just the watch and charger). How likely is it that he probably stole them? Is there a way to tell if it's stolen? Like running through the interface? Any serial codes that show it's a display unit? [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Aug 2019 06:07 AM PDT I'm looking to buy an apple watch s4 and was wondering where is the best place to buy one in canada? Keep in mind i have to order it since the only store that carries it here is the Source and they don't keep it in stock at my store. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Aug 2019 05:32 AM PDT Boom! You have been invited to compete in ''September Challenge''! First, download Challenges: http://apple.co/29WoKbl Once you have the app, enter invite code: 'nv8g' or tap on the link below to join: loseit-challenges://join?eligibilitycode=nv8g For those who may ask, the Challenges app does suggest a calorie goal. If your current goal is higher than what's suggested, it will still count towards your rings in the Challenges app. My calorie goal is always higher than what Challenges recommends and I always leave it higher. Posted: 30 Aug 2019 01:37 AM PDT So this morning I plugged my phone in, it was at 38% battery, and after 45 mins of charging I grabbed it to find it dead, nothing would work.. I tried hard resetting, entering dfu mode.. recovery mode, you name it, and nothing seemed to work. I tried to connect it to my PC, it wouldn't recognize it.. changed the cable.. tried the same on another PC and still nothing.. I called apple support and they recommended that I visit an apple store to get the phone checked since everything they asked me to do I'd tried it already. They sent me an email with steps to perform before bringing in my iphone for repair. Among the steps was "unpair apple watch" and since my iphone is dead I can't do that unless I "erase all data and settings" on the watch itself. My question is, can I retrieve my data (activity data and all that watch has recorded) when I pair it again with my phone when it's fixed or with another phone? Does it get backed up to icloud or something? I have a backup of my iphone I performed like a week ago luckily. But yeah I wonder where the data on the apple watch is kept. Thanks in advance. Posted: 29 Aug 2019 07:24 PM PDT So with the s5 watch right around the corner I was hoping to get some opinions on what to buy. The s6 will only be a year away so seems like it'd be a good idea to hold off for that one right? /s if you haven't noticed. Just needed a break from the 12 posts a day with but now or wait questions. I can't believe how nice the community is about them. [link] [comments]

My phone automatically unpairs the Apple Watch during the pairing process. What to do? Posted: 29 Aug 2019 07:06 PM PDT So, I updated my Apple Watch on the WatchOS 6 beta when it first came out in June. At that time, I had also updated my iPhone to iOS 13. This was a suitable combination and everything worked. One day, I decided to revert my phone back to iOS 12.4 to stabilize my phone lifestyle a bit. But since an Apple Watch could not be downgraded, I decided to keep it on watchOS 6. There was no communication between the phone and the watch then. Until recently, I, once again updated my phone to iOS 13.1 Beta. My watch is still on watchOS 6. Although, now when I try to pair (I think it should since both are on the latest software) my phone with the watch, the phone shows the watch needs an update. (it could be because of the lower beta version, albeit, I don't have a beta profile for the watch on the phone now, so I can't update to the latest beta on the watch). The iPhone provides a button to update the watch and start the pairing process and the process begins, but the iPhone automatically unpairs the watch again. So I'm kind of stuck here. I cannot use my watch now. Need help. I googled stuff but couldn't find anything. Sorry for the long read. [link] [comments] |
