    I posted this over at r/apple, but I figured y'all might appreciate it as well.

    Recently, I've been considering getting what would be my first iPad since the original iPad mini from 2012. I've been scouring the internet for reviews, recommendations, and whatnot pertaining to which iPad I might get.

    What I ended up doing was having to look at the iPad product line-up closely for the first time, and I personally like where it is. I think the iPad Pro and iPad are solid extremes, with the iPad Air at a good middle ground, and the iPad Mini a nice touch. Looking back, I realized how (at least in my opinion) much of a trainwreck iPad product marketing has been since the release of the iPad Air.

    I thought it would be cool to visualize the almost decade-long history of the iPad, and what it's taken to get to the current, sensible lineup of one of the most popular personal computers on the market.

    All that being said, here's the timeline I created.

    Managing apps on second iPad Pro?

    I use my 1st gen iPad Pro for work (animating/illustration) multiple hours a day and just got a refurbished, newer model as both a backup and so that my asst can also do work. Is there an easy way to just clone my setup/apps using the same Apple ID on both iPad pros?

    Don’t update your PDF Expert, if you bought the in-App Pro features!

    I bought yesterday the in-App Pro features on PDF Expert 6, in the hope to keep the pro features forever, as advertised. However, after updating the app to version 7 I lost all the pro features and the app bothers me to buy the subscription. Restore purchases is also not possible, because no purchase can be found.

    Does anyone else's 2018 Smart Keyboard get their display dirty every time you close it?

    I am a little OCD about keeping my display clean, and usually clean my iPad before I put it away. But I find every time I close my Smart Keyboard and open it back up,my display looks dirty and smudged. Even crumbs seems to sneak in there. I never seemed to have had this problem with the old Smart Keyboard on the old pros. It seems having the actual keyboard press against the screen instead of the the microfiber type cloth on the old one makes a big difference.

    Does anyone else have this issue? If so, have you found a good way to clean the keyboard to maybe make this less of an issue? I've tried wiping my keyboard down with a microfiber cloth and some water, but that doesn't seem to help too much.

    Updating to PDF Expert 7 - losing functionality?

    I am using PDF Expert 6 and paid to edit PDFs. It seems like 7 is moving to a subscription-based model (the App Store is trying to push it onto my iPad). What's going to happen to that previously paid for functionality?

    Is the iPad still a good tablet even though you're not in the Apple ecosystem?

    I own a Galaxy S10+, and I'm thinking to buy an iPad for studying and procreate. I noticed that the iPad is basically the only tablet option because Android tablets are pretty shitty.

    However, I know that the Apple ecosystem works very well, there's the Airdrop, the iCloud, and etc. I was wondering if somebody here also uses the iPad in that set-up, wherein they have an Android as their main device but their tablet is an Apple device.

    As a person who's always using Android, I use Google for everything, like assistant, the drive, the reminders, basically everything. So, I just wonder if the iPad will still be a great device if it doesn't work within an Apple ecosystem?

    Hello, so next week I'm gonna be buying an iPad Mini 5, I'll be immediately installing iPadOS on the iPad, my question is, is it possible to play Old School Runescape on the iPad with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard? And how would it perform?

    Help with activation lock

    I need some help!

    I bought an iPad on eBay a while ago, only got around to setting it up now. It has activation lock, and the seller is no longer on eBay. I contacted Apple, sent them my receipt and they just told me they can't help because it's in lost mode. Is the iPad useless? Is there anything I can do?

    Is Apple’s smart folio for the 11” 2018 Pro worth getting over a knock off?

    Just got an 11" pro for school. Gonna be using it primarily for hand written notes and I don't really need a keyboard, so I'm thinking I'm gonna go with the smart folio. Is the official apple version worth the ~$60 premium over a knockoff from amazon?

    MMS Text Forwarding?

    I've recently upgraded my iPad finally and I am finding that MMS messages...those pesky green text messages aren't going to my iPad. I thought in the past they did? I have iCloud messages enabled on both the iPhone and iPad. FWIW, the iPad is cellular.
