    2019 MacBook Air

    Posted: 03 Aug 2019 10:21 PM PDT

I decided to try the Catalina beta on my 2019 MacBook Air. It doesn't work the best so I decided to try and install Mojave again. Command + shift+r will not work. I cannot download Mojave from the App Store. I am out of ideas as I'm not used to Mac. Any suggestions?

A little help with USB C hubs?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2019 03:55 PM PDT

I haven't seen many posts about this on here and I'm looking for a hub with pass through charging, HDMI and at least 3 USB ports. Any hubs that y'all use and could recommend would be delightful.

Should I sell My MacBook Pro?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2019 11:45 AM PDT

Hey! I need some advice. I have an Early 2015 Macbook Pro with a cracked screen that would cost about 600 to fix. I can sell it for around 300-350 as is now. Would yall sell the computer and get a new one? Or just fix it. Its usable but its almost a fourth of the screen.

But now or wait for 10th gen MacBook Pro?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2019 07:59 AM PDT

Hi, I just sold my 2018 mba base model because it was a bit underpowered for my needs and I was thinking to get the new mbp base model but I just read that next new Mac lineup will come with 10th chips which are more powerful especially on video processing.

I don't really need a laptop right now as I also have a ryzen pc but I was asking for opinions about whether should I wait till new models are released or buy now? I have to mention that I also hate the butterfly keyboard

    Battery on new MacBook Pro

    Posted: 03 Aug 2019 06:39 AM PDT

So I bought a new MacBook Pro. I enjoy the experience so far, I even like typing on the Butterfly keyboard. But there is one problem with it, I'm concerned about.

The first time I used it, it just shutdown at 40% Battery. Since it's the first cycle I just thought the reason for this was the battery calibration. But I recharged it like 3 or 4 times up to 100%, I even let it charge for 2 hours longer just to get sure it's completely charged. I still got the problem, that it shuts down while having 30 - 40 percent battery capacity left. I can't turn it on until if recharge it.

Should I contact Apple or just wait 1 more week?

Question regarding USB-C charging with an external monitor.

    Posted: 03 Aug 2019 03:42 AM PDT

    I have the 2017 MBP 15", I also have a LG-UK850-W 4K external display.

The display has a 60w charing capability which keeps the MBP at 100% when doing simple tasks that don't take up much GPU, I recently was using a lot of GPU power and noticed the charge was at 94%. No problem that makes sense as the 15" should really be taking 87w as that is what the apple charger is there for.

My question is, If I plug in the wall adapter that is 87w first and then plug in the USB-C cable that drives the external display second will my Macbook still be drawing power from the wall adapter that I plugged in first? If not is there a solution to my problem?

Thanks so much to anyone with any information.
