New Phone back up from Public Beta... Posted: 31 Aug 2019 01:31 AM PDT Hello. I'm on the Apple upgrade program and intend to get a new phone when they are released. I'm currently on iOS 13.1 public beta. Last year when I got my new phone I couldn't start my new phone from a back up as my old phone was on the public beta and new phone was shipped with a lower version. What do I do to prevent this, this year. Should I come off the public beta now? How will this effect my current device? Will I then be able to download the final version of iOS 13 when it is finally released? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Browser with user agent switching (or true desktop mode?) Posted: 31 Aug 2019 05:37 AM PDT So I use a music player thats loaded with an sd card and I buy my music from sites like Bandcamp and Bleep, download it to my phone attach the sd via an adapter and move the files over. For some bizarre reason this doesnt work at all in iOS (Im coming from Android where this was a breeze) Ive found an adapter to mount the sd card but I cant even get downloads going because ever site detects my device, is any way to grt around this? Ill do everything but jailbreak [link] [comments]
Delete files from iCloud drive on iOS 13 Posted: 31 Aug 2019 05:15 AM PDT Hi In order to watch the video on my iPad I will have to download a local copy of the video to my iPad, I cannot stream it, and that is fine. However, I can't delete the local copy on my iPad in order to save space, if I delete the video is gone on iCloud Drive also. Is this fixed on iOS 13 or is it the same behavior? Wired question about right time exit iOS public beta Posted: 31 Aug 2019 05:08 AM PDT So last year for the iOS 12 public beta. I was able to stay in until the 12 GM version. I opt-out the profile and return back to the public stream. This year they already released iOS 13.1. So if I don't want to stay in public beta after the stable stream release. What should i do? Should I upgrade too iOS13.1? [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Aug 2019 04:35 AM PDT Nobody mentions anything negative coming off of it, but I was wondering after watching this Appleinsider video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsKRtzQLPTk) if it is still true, that in-app unlocks do not work and you would have to make those purchases again. I would also love to know if any one faced any other problems, such as with iMessage? [link] [comments]
Has anyone switched from a 6s to an XR? Posted: 31 Aug 2019 12:50 AM PDT Hi everyone, Title pretty much is the question. Is it a huge change from going 6s to XR? I know it got Face ID, different screen (can't remember what's it called), and I believe better camera (idk the specs) but it is huge improvement over it? I'm thinking of getting that for myself later on this year or just wait for a while and maybe check out the 11 which idk the details of that at the moment. Thank you [link] [comments]

Posted: 31 Aug 2019 12:20 AM PDT [HELP] Used to be able to install multiple Amazon apps from diff region Apple stores; US IN UK. Can or Can't anymore? So I could be signed into my diff email & diff country amazon accounts on each. Especially so for the Prime Video apps (US vs UK) being used by some folks; since. switching between used to cause issues on same email & app. [link] [comments]

iOS 12.4.1 Trying to update to iOS 13 Beta, This Shows Up? Posted: 30 Aug 2019 05:24 PM PDT

Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:55 PM PDT I'm looking for any insight or thoughts. I'm worried sick, I've read about the recent ios news particularly about apples screw up for their ios 12.4 update. I went into my settings to update the ios system to 12.4.1, and it said that there were 3 password attempts which were failed. I don't recall trying nor did anybody have the chance to try and update it on my phone (as i live alone). Could my phone be hacked..? [link] [comments]
Having some issues with autocorrect. Looking for some advice. Posted: 30 Aug 2019 08:50 PM PDT So, my autocorrect works great for most things, but there's some words which should seem obvious that autocorrect just straight up misses. A few notable ones that I can think of would be "Skme, Thays, Skmekne." which I've seen. Is there any way I can "tell" autocorrect what the proper word is that I'm trying to spell when I type these? I've tried a few things that I've read online like resetting my dictionary, and turning off predictive autocorrect, but neither of those seemed to do the trick. It still can't correct "Skme" to some, or "Thays" to that's, etc. Is the autocorrect just unable to tell what the right word is here? Thank you! [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Aug 2019 02:49 PM PDT when my partner tries to type on her (not even two week old) XR, it will type a few words fine, and then gibberish (lvlkv) and it wont let you backspace or type. it will just keep glitching. we have reset it. we contacted apple support, and at first we thought it was the charger that was being used. but we switched chargers and it's still happening. i can try to get a screen recording if necessary. but is there any kind of setting that we can choose that will fix it? I’m having issues with emails from the iOS Mail app not deleting permanently Posted: 30 Aug 2019 01:13 PM PDT So here's the issue. For the last 3 months the emails I receive from my iCloud and hotmail addresses are not deleting properly. I get a few come in, read them then delete them. But, when I have deleted them they keep popping back in to my inbox, I delete again and they keep popping back. So I try to move them to a folder to get them out of the main inbox and again the pop back. I have been on to Apple Support but they have been no help and now I have emails coming back from June. Can anyone shed some light on to what is going on or how I can sort this out? I'm using iOS 12.4 - iPhone XR Thanks. [link] [comments] |
