    No matter what I do, my MacBook Pro won’t start up.

    I was browsing a few sites on my MacBook Pro, and when I went to switch tabs, the computer completely froze and gave me the rainbow wheel. Then, after about 15 seconds, the wheel froze, and I couldn't do a damn thing.

    So I had to force restart it. It started back up fine, but Google Chrome wouldn't open. So I tried I few other apps — iTunes, Pages, iMessage — they all opened fine. I kept trying to get Chrome open, but it just wouldn't open. Then, as I'm using iTunes, the wheel comes up again. So I force restart again.

    And now it won't start up at all. It brings me to the Apple logo, the loading bar loads, but then it goes to a black screen, and after about 10 seconds, it restarts on its own, and the same thing happens over again.

    This is the first time since I've bought this computer (4-5 years ago) that I've ever even gotten the wheel. So this problem really came out of nowhere.

    I've tried all of the little tricks Google searches yielded, like holding down certain buttons, etc. Nothing is working.

    What might the problem be, and is there a fix for it? Is this computer just...dead? It better not be, I spent almost $4000 on it. Plus, there are some things on there that would absolutely kill me to lose.

    I'd like to avoid taking it to the Apple Store if I can, because (1) there really isn't a convenient location for me to go to, especially with my work hours, and (2) my Apple Care is surely expired, and I don't want to pay out the ass to get it fixed.

    UPDATE 2: Now I'm getting a white screen, no Apple logo. This computer is fucked, isn't it...

    Unable to add Apple Card to OG Watch?

    I currently have my debit card and Apple Pay Cash card on my Watch, and my other two credit cards show up as available to add to the Watch, but my Apple Card doesn't show up at all inside the Wallet section of the Watch app settings. Is my Watch too old for Apple Card? Is that a thing?

    I have 800 passwords stored on my iPhone synced from my Mac, by mistake, using iCloud. How do I delete them all?

    I have already turned off keychain sync through iCloud but the 800 passwords remain on my iPhone. I want to delete them all, without having to tick 800 items on a table. Is there a way to delete them all at once?

    [2019 13'' Macbook Pro] Need Help with Connectivity Hell

    Hey all,

    I recently had to switch to a Macbook Pro from my Thinkpad for work.

    Surprisingly, these laptops only come with two thunderbolt / USB C ports so I know I'll be living the dongle life.
    What I don't know is how to achieve my fairly modest setup for a reasonable price.

    Researching online, I see people complaining about not being able to drive 2 monitors at the same time.
    I'm also seeing dongle/hubs that are $100-$200. Surely more that what I would need?

    My setup is as follows:

    • 2 1080p 60hz monitors (one supports Display port/VGA/DVI, other only supports VGA/DVI)
    • 2 USB devices (keyboard and mouse)
    • 1 RJ45 gigabit ethernet port

    Any help on what to buy would be greatly appreciated!

    Apple TV screensaver showing blank images

    So I like to use my Home Sharing iTunes movies as my screensaver, on Shifting Tiles mode.

    Recently I went through and changed a bunch of my movie artwork that I didn't like, and updated the screensaver settings, and since then my screensaver will show blank images where there are supposed to be new images coming in. Then eventually they all disappear and the whole screen is blank.

    Here's what it looks like. Sorry for the angle.

    The second one is where I set it to TV shows, and I only have one show in my library.

    I also tried setting it to just Apple's animal photos and there were still blanks showing up.

    I've seen other people with this issue online but haven't seen any solutions. Only thing I haven't tried is factory resetting the ATV. Hoping there might be a simpler solution than that.

    Is it possible to retrieve old photos from a phone that won’t connect to wifi and won’t stay on for more than like five minutes?

    It's not really a big deal if I can't I just really want to get all of my old photos onto my old iPod. Is there any hope? Edit: It's an iPhone 7 by the way

    My apple earphones aren’t working

    They were working this morning and when I tried to plug them in and watch videos no sound is coming out and only a small bit of sound comes out if I twist the plug in the jack. I didn't get any water into the earphones, there are no rips on the wire, I did check if my volume was on, and I did try restarting my phone.

    Schedule startup and shutdown with lid closed

    Hi all!

    I'm currently using a 2012 15-inch MBP with the latest Mojave. I'm using it as a media server/minecraft server and using VNC to control it remotely. I have it scheduled to auto shutdown and restart but since I keep it with the lid closed it doesn't auto restart.

    Currently using KeepYouAwake to allow it to stay on with the lid closed.

    Any ideas?

    Unable to instal 10.14.6 Supplemental...

    Last night I tried to install the 10.14.6 Supplemental, only for it to fail, so I restored from my Time Machine, and all was good with my 27 inch, late 2015 iMac.

    This time I'd thought I'd download the update from Apple's support site, and instal it from there, but now it's telling me that it can't be installed on this disk. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Edit to add, I had Catalina PB1 installed for about 9 joys when it first dropped, but rolled back to Mojave via a Time Machine backup because it was too unstable, and I also removed the beta profile

    Keyboard backlight not working in Windows 10 Bootcamp

    Yesterday I installed Windows 10 Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro (13", 2019) but I immediately noticed that the backlight for my keyboard was not working. It works perfectly in macOS. There is no light at all and there is no way to adjust the light, when I press the button on the touch bar no input is registered and the f5 and f6 keys do not work either. I've researched how to fix this online but I've been met with mostly vague answers. The most promising answer that I have seen, which is from apple, is to re-install the Windows Support Software. However, this requires an external USB drive which I do not have. On top of that, this method seems daunting. I was wondering if there was any other way to fix this issue. If there are no other methods, is going to the apple store to fix this issue viable, or is it inadvisable because Windows 10 is something I personally installed? Also, is this issue deep enough to warrant me returning the device? I am still in the return period.

    Safari audio is suddenly tinny & distorted

    All audio coming from Safari and Safari only is very tinny, echoey and distorted.

    I've look this up and all i can find are people saying they have this issue when they speed up the playback on youtube. My playback speed is set to normal. It doesn't just happen on youtube either, its any audio played through Safari, other browsers, computer audio, iTunes are all fine. Its just Safari.

    It started out of no where last night. Resetting my PRAM did nothing, resetting the computer, updating all did nothing to help the issue. Does anyone know whats causing this or how to fix it?

    iCal Alarms not Syncing

    I have recurring events in my calendar but the alerts/alarms for these events are different on my devices. On my iPad Air 2 it shows the Alert as set to "At time of event" and a Second Alert is set at "5 minutes before". On my iPhone 7 it shows the Alert is set to "5 minutes before". On my iMac it shows the Alert as set to "5 minutes before".

    When I change the alerts on my iPad to be set to "5 minutes before", it prompts for this to apply to all future events or only this event. I've repeatedly select for it to apply for all future events.

    But then the next day it is back to two alerts again - "At time of event" and "5 minutes before". Does anyone have any idea of what is going on?

    “Could Not Send iMessage” repeated message

    Hi all. I decided that i no longer want to have texting as an option on my 2012 MacBook. I signed out of my iMessage on my computer and have "send and receive iMessage" only from my phone. I thought I did everything right but I keep getting repeated error messages saying my message could not send. I keep hitting ignore, but it immediately shows again. It eventually goes away, but after hitting ignore at least 100 times. It's really frustrating and is making my MacBook borderline unusable. Any advice?

    What are the chances i'm going to blow up my phone or something?

    My Iphone 6s' battery life has been on a steady decline since june, and last week it stopped working entirely.

    Because of apple's policies i couldn't bring it to an official apple maintenance, so I bought a battery and the tools myself and changed it.

    It's at 25% battery from the 20% it was when I powered it on, minor heating when i opened up instagram but other than that seems fine, should i be worried? what are the chances i screwed up something?

    iPhone 6s Plus with no music over Bluetooth but everything else is fine and functional.

    As the title states I have an iPhone 6s Plus but for some reason music will no longer play over Bluetooth, nor over USB for that matter.

    I have also updated my software to 12.4 but the problem started on 12.3.1.

    I have tested it with my Chevy Camaro and with my Dodge Charger.

    Both will start to play music briefly but cuts out after just a few seconds. The true irony is that phone calls through the car, over Bluetooth, work just fine.

    Safari full screen update?

    So I noticed recently that Safari when on full screen now hides all the other tabs you have open, the url box, and all that stuff. It is really annoying and has really affected my workflow having to mouse up to the very top of the screen to see all that info, and then down to the other tabs I'm working on, or to the back button, or whatever. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me? I'm hoping it is some setting I accidentally messed up and not a permanent update.

    new pictures won't upload to icloud??

    recently deleted a bunch like all of my photos out of iCloud since new photos were no longer uploading. even after deleting thousands of photos and being left with 300 photos, pictures I just took are not uploading to iCloud. any idea why?

    Insufficient remaining credit WHAT!?

    I was playing the game of life on my iPhone 7 and I have $21.13 in credit. I was going to buy the season pass for $19.99 so I have more than what I need. But I tried redeeming and it said I had insufficient remaining credit. I tried to restart the phone, log in and out of iTunes, and delete and redownload the game of life. But it still didn't work. And I can't contact hasbro about this. There is no Q&A. Do any of you know how to fix this?

    Opened my MacBook Pro up may have messed it up

    So I thought I'd open up my 5 year old MacBook Pro to give it a clean. Now I understand you're not supposed to do this cause it might void any help from Apple, but I said screw it and did it anyway. It was super gross full of hair and dust so I air dusted it and made it look new. Closed her up and when I picked it up I heard a click on both left and right sides. Now when idling I can feel that it gets a lot hotter than before, but that's all I've noticed. Did I totally f*** it up?
