    I can't seem to find a definitive answer for this elsewhere.

    Like PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App all have physical cards you can get mailed to you, and you can use those cards as regular prepaid debit cards anywhere and it uses your PayPal/Venmo/Cash App balance.

    I'm wondering if Apple Pay has this or a virtual card option somewhere, instead of having to withdraw funds to a bank.

    I lost my iPhone X about 2 months ago & I got this text today from 888-500-0356 saying "Apple Alert: Your lost iPhone X was connected to the internet. View the location at: https://icloud.com.pl2.top/c9393" & I want to know if this is legitimate or not. Looks like someone found my phone and are trying to unlock it

    Running Mojave on a 2018 Macbook Air... I would love to be able to install a game or two but I don't have any space left... When I check the iCloud Drive folder in Finder I only have like 30-40gb of files in there. Is there any way to reduce this down to a much smaller number, I would like to have it taking up on about 75gb. I'm really not sure what is taking up all of this space...

    iTunes 12.9.1.4 movies skipping/hitching

    Hey guys.

    We're running iTunes 12.9.1.4 on a Windows 10 computer (my fiance has all her music and movies on iTunes). We've noticed for a while now that when playing movies we get a consistent "hitching" issue. The movie will play fine for about 20 minutes, then the video will freeze for about 2 seconds and audio will cut out for about 1/2 second. The video speeds up to catch up to where it should be based on audio. Then a second later it will hitch again for 2 seconds with no audio cutout, and again speed up the video to catch up to the audio. The video then plays fine for another 20 minutes or so, then repeats the above issue.

    This is happening on every movie and tv show we've tried, old and new. It's not an issue we've seen through Netflix or VLC. Any ideas what's going on here? It's pretty annoying to deal with.

    How do I fix iMessage waiting for activation?

    Tried to download IPadOS 13 beta but my system storage is rising so fast and i’ve tried every trick, (itunes connect, restore ipad, delete almost all my storage) and it keeps rising faster than I can download the beta OS how can I fix this?

    So i just got an iPhone XR and i went to take a selfie and it seemed to smooth out my skin and remove my imperfections , and my friends said it made me look completely different. I used to have an iPhone 6 and just comparing the pictures it's clear something is going on with the XR. I tried googling it and some solutions were to update my phone to 12.1 , which i can't do because it's on 12.3.1 , and to turn off Smart HDR , which also didn't work. I don't know what to do , so any advice or anything to fix it would greatly be appreciated :)

    iTunes on Windows 7 opens to white screen...but still functions

    I'm running iTunes (a recent version, but I can't check for obvious reasons).

    Previously, I had the issue where it opened but was invisible. Since the reinstall, it worked fine, but now, all of a sudden, it's a white screen.

    As when it was invisible, when it's "open" I can double-click in the center of the screen and music starts playing. If I right-click where the sidebar is, I get the right-click options.

    iTunes is there and working, but I just can't see it, basically.

    Any idea what in the eff is up?

    Do the X and XR have a better camera than the 6?

    So I'm an actor and nowadays, you have the option of recording your audition and submitting. I have the 6 and I been thinking about upgrading. At first I wanted to get the X, but then I read the XR has a better camera, wide angle lens. Is that true? Is the XR the best camera for recording or does the X also have a good camera? Or are they not even that different from the 6?

    Is it possible to recover a keychain password without losing anything? OS X 10.8.5. Grandpa's laptop, and he's had a couple major strokes and doesn't remember his passwords.

    Hey all, I'm sorry if this isn't in the spirit of this sub. I'm a Windows user, but by grandpa had a Mac. He's had a couple of strokes that have caused dementia. Long story short, we found that he's been having some episodes for a while, and we've been trying to get all of his accounts in order. He no longer remembers his password.

    We have everything now but some of his foreign accounts, and we think that he has several in France (including veteran benefits), and are hoping that there's some info on his laptop about them.

    I've already reset the account password, but that's just a local password and doesn't update with keychain. Is there a way to recover the keychain password without losing anything in it? Is there a way to see what will be lost if I changed the keychain password? If I recover the Apple ID account, is there a way to recover keychain?

    In case it's not obvious, I don't care about the laptop, and to a lesser extent, I can live without any of his passwords, but I need to see where he's been, what accounts he may have, and other information that we can use to help get all of his accounts in order.

    How to get accordion file function for desktop files, ex screenshots

    Hi.

    I noticed on my work laptop that screenshots are all collected under a "file" on the desktop, that once clicked on expands. However, on my own laptop I was never offered that function? They are the same laptop, MacBook pro '16.

    So I was curious - how do I enable this function?

    I have the function on for downloads on my control panel bar thing (sorry I'm blanking on the name right now), so I see that it should be a default function, theoretically.

    Left 2nd Generation AirPod is extremely quiet on max volume

    Everything online says, "all I have to do is clean them". I have done this, and can confirm that they are clean. I have good hearing and regularly clean my ears. My AirPods are 2nd generation. They have taken zero damage. Despite all of this care, the left Airpod is extremely quiet. I kid you not, on max volume I can barely hear the music. So can someone please help me? I really don't want to take these to the Apple Store as the nearest one is 3 hours away from me but I guess I will if I have too.

    Okay so, my moms phone isnt getting any service for the past week. With her sim my sim and my dads sim. This is an iPhone 8 Plus bought in July 2018 somewhere in NYC.     Macbook Air OS update is a corrupted image?

    Forgive me for lack of knowledge on technical terms, but I've been trying to get my Macbook Air (10.9.5) to anything 10.10 or above after I've been prompted to do so a couple times. But whenever I download one, and click it, it'll give me a prompt like:

    Warning

    The following disk images couldn't be opened

    Reason: corrupt image

    I've tried this with 2 or 3 different versions of OS and gotten the same prompt every time. I tried using Disk Utility to "repair" the disk, but it hasn't seemed to do anything. Anything else I can try?

    Files changing to incorrect names, swapping folders and becoming undeletable

    This is an odd one.

    Recently a number of files on my external hard drive (connected to my Macbook Pro) have been changeing names and swapped places by themselves.

    For example, I had a video file in one folder. A text file in another. Now the video file has the same name as the text file, and they've swapped folders. If I try to delete the video file, I can't, because an error code comes up stating there is no file under that name in the folder (because it's actually a different file entirely!).

    I'm certain it isn't malware or anything malicious. It seems like the file paths are confused or something. The frustrating thing is, I can't work out what some of the files that have changed name are, or where to find the ones they swapped with.

    Anybody else encountered this? Suggestions for fixing it - beyond Time Machine?

    New Apple Pencil Will Not Pair with iPad Pro

    I was gifted an Apple Pencil (1st Gen). Straight from the box, new in plastic. I plugged the pencil in to charge for around 30 min before attempting to pair with my iPad Pro. The bluetooth could find the pencil but would only pair for a second before disconnecting. Upon trying to pair again a message of an unsuccessful pair due to it taking too long would pop up. I tried toggling bluetooth and restarting my iPad pro but the same would happen. I have no way of checking the pencil's battery as it will not pair.

    Is the pencil just dead from the factory? Could it have sat in a store for so long that the battery lost its charge? Is it repairable? Or should I just tell them to get their money back if they kept the receipt?

    For OS I am on 12.4

    How to prevent keyboard shortcuts from syncing

    My mom and my phone are on the same iCloud account and all of our keyboard shortcuts/text replacements sync with each other, but the problem is we don't use the same shortcuts so it causes a lot of slowdown when typing bc we have to delete what we said and type it in again etc. I tried to looking for it in iCloud and Keyboard settings but I couldn't find anything. Is there a way to turn it off so we can have individual shortcuts?

    Safari Auto fill settings are greyed out on MacOS Mojave

    Hello, recently a Macbook of ours (2018 model) ran into the issue of the auto fill not working. When checking settings all of the auto fill options are greyed out and non functional. The setting under Passwords is also greyed out (images provided). I have tried making a new Admin account, and reseting Safari preferences by deleteing the com.apple.Safari.plist file and restarting the laptop. The Macbook is running Mojave 10.14.6.     Has anyone had an iPhone 7 with network issues displaying all of the following messages: "No Service", "Invalid SIM", and "SIM Failure"?

    I know there is a program to repair iPhone 7s showing "No Service", but mine has been working on and off for the past few months. It's currently cycling through these messages with no end in sight. Has anyone experienced similar issues? If so, did Apple repair your device?
