    Why are iphones typically faster than android phones?

    I have been using mid-range android phones for a long time and recently my dad gave me his iphone 6 that he used for over 4 years. I used go through the android phones like crazy. They would become insufferably laggy after a few months of use, even after factory resets and all that stuff. It's been 4 months i've been using the iphone its still faster than any of those android phones and works like a champ and it's not just that, my mom's, sister's and dad's iphones are fast as well although they are flagship models. Since a 5 year old phone vs a recent mid-range phone would probably be quite same in terms of specs if not the android being better, why are apple phones generally faster?

    Which is better to have for an iPhone: Spotify or Apple Music?

    I'm stuck in choosing between it and Spotify, and I've heard from people that if you have Apple products, Apple Music is nicer to have. Is this true?

    Every morning at a very early time I get a spam call, but they change the last couple numbers so I can’t block them. Is there any way I can get this to stop?

    I miss TouchID not that I have an XS Max.

    Sorry for the rant...

    I had an iPhone 6 and upgraded to the XS Max in January 2019 after living with it for about 6 months I can definitely say that I miss TouchID. Face ID is nice sometimes and when it's good, it's better than TID for sure. But the limitations of FID are enough that I'd rather have TID. I got this wonderfully large phone so I could use it in landscape mode but as I found out afterward, landscape mode isn't available in XS Max because FID doesn't work sideways.

    Example- The apps that let me use it landscape mode are awesome but often times this problem surfaces when I'm in the car. I suction cup to mount the phone to the windshield in landscape mode using Waze for navigation. I get a phone call and the phone switches the phone app which will let the phone go to sleep (screen locks). After the phone call, I can't reopen Waze until I remove the phone and hold it portrait to unlock it unless I use the code (also not ideal).

    Example- Laying in bed I find that I'm either not well lit enough for my face to be recognized or I'm so tired looking my phone must think I'm not me.

    Example- my phone is laying on the couch next to me fully in view of my eyes but I just want to see that notification fully expanded instead of raising my phone up to my face.

    TID solved all of these problems. I really hope that some on-screen TID comes to iPhone or they add the sensor somewhere. At the very least FID needs to work in landscape mode.

    iphone XS, all 3rd party camera apps noisier/grainier than native

    Hi all, trying to do series video on my iphone XS Max and getting really frustrated. The native camera app in video mode using the 2x looks great in the sense that its sharp, not noisy, great detail. The issue is that its always changing white balance and exposure after i adjust exposure and then step into the frame to start recording, or just always has an overly yellow or overly blue whitebalance with artificial lights indoors. So i started trying many popular pro video apps like filmic pro, moment, and others. They let me dial in exact settings and lock them and it really works. its great.

    but the quality is so much noisier and grainer and fuzzier in these 3rd party apps especially with the 2x lens. Some people with iphone XS and google pixel 3 said that the native looks good because of all the processing magic the phone does to make it look good and thats hidden behind API and the third party camera apps just give you the raw visuals and thats why it looks worse. BUT then why do i see footage on youtube shot in filmic pro with a dang iphone 7 or 8 in dark lighting looking so much better than my iphone XS in filmic on a concert stage with 30 stage lights being super bright...?

    and no i didnt shoot with high shutter speed and high ISO, i know how do expose i did pro photo for a while. Has anyone been able to do pro video on the iphone XS?

    So I've had a S7 for 3-4 years now and its slowdown is finally to the point I need to upgrade but I dunno if I want to get an S10 or iPhone XS. I've had iPhones in the past (3GS and 5C) both of which started acting up and unusable less than a year of having them while the S7 has lasted me years

    I don't have any other Apple products, I use Google apps such as Maps and Drive a ton though, and sometimes use my S7 as a makeshift flashdrive to transfer files, I don't think the iPhone can do that?

    I also don't know which camera is better. It seems they both have their issues, but I can't find a review that isn't heavily biased towards one side

    So which one do you think I should invest in? Or some general advice/knowledge/opinions is much appreciated

    Album downloaded from apple music has different year than shown within apple music

    I redownloaded the album "Help!" by The Beatles after iTunes Match messed up one of the songs, but the year reads 2019 in my library even though it clearly shows 1965 in Apple Music. Any way to fix this?

    iPhone Caller ID Pics

    I spent a considerable amount of time yesterday setting full screen 9:16 caller ID photos for my frequently contacted people and it keeps reverting to the small circle. What gives? The weird thing is, some of them stay the way I set it and I can't figure out what I'm doing differently for those that are reverting.

    Also sometimes, the picture shifts in the small circle so I can only see their chest instead of their face in the thumbnail preview in messages or contacts screen.

    I'm not sure if anyone is as anal as I am about this kind of thing, but I hope someone found a solution because it's really freaking annoying.
