| New NBC / Bravo / USA network apps don’t allow play (“not included”) Posted: 28 Jun 2019 10:28 AM PDT My NBC related apps all updated this week and went from letting me play any current show, to not letting me play any. Tried deleting and reinstalling, relinked my TV provider (xfinity) and still nothing works. Just get a "Sorry this content isn't included" type message every time. I get all these channels on my cable box so I'm confused what happened. [link] [comments]  |
| Appletv HD stuck in recovery mode Posted: 28 Jun 2019 03:29 PM PDT My ATV (A1625) was taking longer to wake from sleep and I cycled the power (unplug/plug). It went into recovery mode (yellow !triangle with support.apple.com link. I tried restoring from iTunes on a mac using a USB-C but it never completes. On checking under the hood (console app in MacOS), iTunes process keeps saying RequiredAction failure: Assertion failure: -48 and -50 Failed to open AFC connection with device id Maybe I have a bad USB C cable. I tried this one prior time with the same cable and iTunes process in console kept stating that it couldn't determine the OS version of the AppleTV. Other than trying a different USB C cable, I'm stumped. Took it to Genius Bar and they used the same cable I'd been using and wanted to exchange it for the same model @ $119. This ATV isn't dead obviously because the light is blinking and has HDMI output. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]  |

| [Beta] Anyone having issues starting their Apple TV Harmony activities? Posted: 28 Jun 2019 09:56 AM PDT When I start my Apple TV activity it turns everything on but the Apple TV. If I press the menu or tv button on the harmony remote it does nothing. I have to get the Siri remote and press the tv or menu button for it to turn on, then I can continue as normal using the harmony elite remote. After the menu or tv press on the Siri remote, the tv and menu buttons work as normal through the harmony elite remote. Anyone having this issue? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 28 Jun 2019 07:57 AM PDT I've got a Beam and two Play:1's in surround mode, and want my Apple TV (and PS4 if possible) to automatically use them instead of just the Beam. Just using the Beam works great, and I can select the AirPlay group for all of the speakers, but I would like it if my Apple TV would automatically use all three of them. Even when changing the default speakers in the settings menu it reverts back to HDMI (ARC) after restarting. Is there any solution for this or do I have to set it correctly everytime I want to listen to music/watch a movie/play a game? Many thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  |

| USA Networks app not working all of a sudden Posted: 28 Jun 2019 11:01 AM PDT Hello, I was trying to watch Queen of the South on my USA Networks app, and it isn't working. Said my subscription didn't support it (wrong) so I removed it and tried to re-add, but it's giving me an error message about the content not working, please try again. I am not able to link my cable provider account because it has an Rea for giving me an activation code that I need to enter online on a website, but the TV isn't spitting out an activation code. I tried creating NBC Universal account, but that option gives me the same activation code issue. I also wasn't aware NBC owned USA. My workaround right now is using the USA app on my phone and AirPlaying it to my Apple TV. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 27 Jun 2019 11:41 AM PDT Sorry if this is not the right place to ask, but I don't know anything about Apple TV in the Uk. My broadband provider (ee) has offered us Apple TV as part of a package as we shop around to get a better deal. We don't have a TV ariel which limits the options. We watch very little live TV, a fair bit of Netflix and some Now TV. I don't think we d miss live tv, although might miss the TVr Virgin box. So is Apple TV a good idea? [link] [comments]  |
