| Can someone explain the Calendar app to me...? Posted: 09 May 2019 08:45 PM PDT I've tried to add two events in the Calendar app, and... nothing happened. They're just not there. I thought, "oh, maybe it put them in the Reminders app" so checked that (I think it had to redownload it, despite my never having deleted it and the icon still being there?)... but there's nothing in the Reminders app, either. Where do things go when you add them to your calendar? How can you confirm that they've actually been saved? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 09 May 2019 11:55 PM PDT My wife's iPhone 6S started doing this last night: https://m.imgur.com/a/E3faH6n That happens every time the phone is unlocked, and fairly frequently whenever the phone is in use. The screen is also less vivid colours than it used to be, regardless of how much we play around with the brightness settings and day/night shift. While it had been acting a bit odd before (it seems to dislike being connected to the internet), this is the first time it's had any graphical issues. She's fairly careful with it, so it's not been water-damaged, or dropped (recently). I've turned it off and on again, and restored it from a backup, which I was feeling fairly confident would do the trick. Any suggestions, please? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 09 May 2019 05:46 PM PDT So about a week ago my daughter scooped my 93 day old iPhone X in the tub. It may have been submerged for about 3-5 seconds and was immediately dried off with a towel. However, the screen went all kinds of funky colours clearly showing the signs of water damage. I was unable to get it to turn on for the last week but, today it turned on. The screen is completely black though so I cannot see how to unlock it in order to back it up. I did a photo backup a few months back but, lost close to 200 photos of my daughter and around 100 or so from my honeymoon. Aside from that there were a lot of files I would love to get back. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to back this phone up. I know the computer recognizes it as it shows under the USB section of system profile, however I cannot see it in iTunes and I believe its because I have to "Trust this computer". And I was hoping for more info on how to replace it without going through ATT. My credit isn't good enough for their monthly payment program. And the cost to replace it through ATT seems quite high. | Posted: 09 May 2019 03:55 PM PDT hi so i have the iphone XR (subtle flex🤪) and i previously has the iphone 7. today my friend was filming me on my phone and asked why i didn't have the little x1 zoom button on my camera and i was like "uh what's that" and then she showed me on her phone. i didn't have this zoom option on my 7 and i have looked all over settings to try and find it for my XR. can someone please help!!!!!?!?!! ahahah thanks [link] [comments]  |

| iMessage not working for one contact, messages pop up as green Posted: 09 May 2019 11:47 AM PDT I have an iPhone 8+ and have never had issues with my iMessage. My boyfriend has an iPhone SE that is through StraightTalk. Our messages have always sent through iMessage and we have never had a problem before. He has data and WiFi so that isn't an issue. Last night I noticed that when I text him, the texts are showing up in a green bubble. He receives my messages and I receive his. We have location sharing on both of our messages and that still works perfectly fine. I reset all the settings on my phone and deactivated and activate iMessage a few times, and it didn't fix anything. I was playing around with his phone last night and I texted his dad who also has a n iPhone from his phone, and iMessage worked for him. I reset my boyfriends settings and I texted myself from his phone and it popped up as blue and worked perfectly fine. I go to text him today and it goes right back to green!! I don't know how to fix it or what is going on. [link] [comments]  |

| “No sim” or “invalid sim” issue, what do? Posted: 09 May 2019 05:00 AM PDT iPhone 8, AT&T. Bought from AT&T store like 4 months ago. Not sure why this keeps happening, I restart it and it goes away for a while. But it comes back, and I'm not sure if there's like, a setting I can change to fix it. Or if I'm gunna have to take it to the AT&T store. Is this an IPhone issue, or an AT&T issue? I'm so stupid about phones, and I really just want to be soothed lol. I'm just super worried I'm going to get swindled out of more money just because I was sold a defective product or something like that. I sorta hate IPhone and AT&T but it's what I'm stuck with for several reasons. Update: pulled out the sim, and put it back in, working so far, will update if it fails again. [link] [comments]  |
