    Shadow

    Shadow is a jailbreak detection bypass that defeats basic (and maybe in the future, advanced) detection methods used by many App Store apps. Some banking apps with advanced detection methods such as Santander are not bypassed (yet).

    A simple preference bundle is provided for enabling/disabling the bypass or blacklisting certain apps from bypass hooks.

    It is open source, and tested on unc0ver/Substrate (iOS 12.1.2) but should work on other iOS versions.

    This is my first tweak, I hope it works for everyone :)

    • Update 1.01: Fixed apps crashing on Chimera/Substitute due to bad syscall hook (though this may be a Substitute problem?)

    [tip] If you use Spotify or Pandora to replace the ‘Today Page’ with Konban. Your music will still play in the background after you close all your apps in your app switcher! I don’t know about you but I get annoyed every time I close my music app!

    [Beta][Release] SmearOff Beta | Reduce OLED Smearing on OLED Devices

    u/maxbridgland has just released a tweak called SmearOff. From what I can tell this brings some reduction to smearing across your device. If you don't know what smearing is you can read about it here (FAIR WARNING ONCE YOU SEE THE SMEAR YOULL NEVER UNSEE IT).

    Disclaimer: This will remove "True Black" from your device. It is not possible to have True Black and also reduce smearing. Smearing is caused by True Black colors on non-True Black backdrops or vice versa.

    The tweak is available on https://apt.securarepo.io for free and has some customizability like Anti-Smear strength and Anti-Smearing sensitivity to recognize when the smearing reduction needs to be activated.

    The tweak is known not to work in some apps like Apollo but Max plans on adding compatibility in future updates. This is just a beta version.

    Thanks to the benevolence of /u/tuaprima, we now have an updated version of BigShotJB that works on iOS 12 and A12 devices. The trigger is a device shake. (I am not sure if support for Activator was removed; if it was not, you can reassign the trigger to whatever Activator gesture you want. If it was removed, you're stuck with the device shake trigger for now, just like those of us on A12 devices. 😉)

    It is functional and should be adequate for most use cases. With that said, however, there are some bugs. Below are the ones I have noticed; your feedback will be extremely helpful so that /u/tuaprima or another developer can shore up whatever issues remain with the tweak.

    BUGS (tested on iPad Pro 11-inch (A12X) running iOS 12.1):

    • Whenever the tweak is triggered, it will take both the long screenshot as well as one additional, completely black screenshot. I do not know why it does this, but it does not interfere with the functioning of the tweak (aside from the minor inconvenience of having to delete these extra black screenshots from your Photos app).

    • Attempting to trigger the tweak in certain apps will crash the app. This has been confirmed for YouTube, Cydia, and the App Store. If this happens to you in an app, please share that in the comments so we can get a better idea of which apps are incompatible with the tweak — this can be very helpful in diagnosing the problem and getting us closer to a fix. I have not had any issues in Twitter, Spotify, Facebook, and Spark (e-mail). Your mileage may vary. If it crashes an app, simply refrain from triggering the tweak in that app. The app will otherwise work normally.

    • Although the tweak does not work very well in Safari, this is not a new issue — the iOS 11 version of the tweak did not function at all in Safari (it would take a very long screenshot containing the address bar, and everything below that would be totally blank). In fact, the current version will sometimes work (such as by capturing part of what it was supposed to), so it is actually less broken than the previous version in this regard.

    As title says, I'm requesting a working tweak (Or an update to ForceinPicture) that ports the functionality of PIP from the iPad to the iPhone, it would work for A12 devices. It doesn't have to work with the Youtube app, but it should simply add a button to the safari video player that pops out the video into a PiP window.

    The tweaks: YouPIP, PIPEnabler, ForceInPicture (With plutil) do not work for me.
