All of Wikipedia on your device (if you have 80GB available) Posted: 01 May 2019 12:00 PM PDT There's a really cool app called Kiwix, that can read .zim archive files. With this app, you can download and use an archive of Wikipedia, to be available when you're not connected to the internet. There are also a ton of other archives out there, like Wikiquotes and the Game of Thrones wiki. You can download the Wikipedia archive (78GB) from Kiwix, but I had better luck getting it directly from dumps.wikimedia.org. This app is also available for Android, Windows, and MacOS. (edit) I use it when I'm camping or traveling for extended periods in the country, where I often don't have easy access to the internet. I have it on my iPhone and my iPad. What a time to be alive! Do you use an older iPhone? Which one and why? Posted: 01 May 2019 10:30 AM PDT I'm just bored and asking around because I use an iPhone 6 but am thinking about using an old iPhone 5 until I get my SE in June just because I prefer the smaller screen. Which iPhone do you use? Also I'm just curious :3 Thanks for reading this, hope you have a nice day [link] [comments]
Updating to iOS 12.2 has bricked my Reminders app Posted: 02 May 2019 07:30 AM PDT Title. The only thing that works in the app is the plus sign in the top right. It lets me add stuff but then the stuff disappears into the aether. It is stuck on the "Scheduled" section and the plus sign in this section does nothing. Has anyone else had this issue? I have deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted the phone, etc. [link] [comments]

Downtime feature can be ignored without requesting a password Posted: 01 May 2019 08:33 PM PDT Hello folks So in screentime feature you got a specific app limit feature and downtime feature, the app limit features works well and requires a password if you want to use outside the time set, but downtime can just be ignored by clicking "ignore limit", how come ? How can I get downtime to require password aswell? Thanks a lot [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2019 12:33 AM PDT So I received an obvious natwest scam sms, I was curious so I copied the whole text message then pasted it into safari. Little did I know that it would just paste the actual link in the text message... so I'm rather embarrassed, so this is why I made a fresh account on reddit to ask this question. Strangely enough, the link was a https address. Thought I would be ok, since I immediately closed the link, not entering any details or agreeing to download anything. However, when I woke up, to turn my phone on, it asked me to enter my passcode to activate face id. So had someone turned that off? I checked to see if any profiles were created, and the profile option was there, I clicked on it and it was blank, and then it disappeared. I've done a reset, erase all content and settings option. If I was hacked, would this now make me safe? And if I did happen to be hacked, what sort of information could they have got from my phone? I changed my apple password on my PC as the phone was resetting. [link] [comments]
Did My Boyfriend Download Spyware on My Iphone Posted: 01 May 2019 11:22 AM PDT He knows the password to my phone, and downloaded something in the "profiles" section in settings. I removed it but I'm still worried he can still look at my phone, what do I do? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2019 12:09 AM PDT Hello. I am using iOS since iOS 4. I was wondering... what do you think about iOS? In iOS 4, I loved the old nice white status bar. But iOS 6 was slow for my iPhone 3GS. With my iPhone 4, iOS 7 was very nice. iOS 10, that was the latest 32- bit iOS version... I hate iOS 11 and up because the icons of the status bar aren't beautiful. So, my question was: 1) which iOS is your current one ? 2) Which device is your currreny one? 3) what was your favorite iOS and which device did you use with that iOS? 4) Do you have a bad battery on iOS 11 or higher? 5) What was your first iOS version? What device? Sorry for my bad English, I'm Dutch. [link] [comments]

Changing Country/Region on App Store Posted: 01 May 2019 09:19 PM PDT Can I change Country/Region when I dont live in the country I want change it to? I need an app and the app cannot be downloaded in my country yet. It's Freestyle Libre (for blood sugar checking) and I really need this app. If there is any way how to change the region it'd be great. [link] [comments]
Blocking specific websites without “block adult content” Posted: 01 May 2019 11:34 AM PDT Is there a way to block specific websites on my iPhone without the "block adult content" option? I've got bad distraction issues, but 1) I love me some porn and if I have to unblock every time I want to see some then I'll not get around to reblocking and not be as disciplined about it, and 2) when you have "block adult content" switched on predictive text doesn't work and you can't go to private browsing. Any solutions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 May 2019 05:27 PM PDT Today I have heard from my wife that she received an iMessage from me that I did not send. Recently, I saw a message appear on the right hand side of Messages. It was the only message in that conversation, which on inspection, I saw was a group chat between me, my wife, and someone on email. The email address was nearly my iCloud address but with other characters :"email" added at the end. I have since changed my password and disabled iMessage. Now all my messages are green. Has anyone heard of iMessage being compromised? I think someone is fraudulently sending iMessage messages as me. (This is iOS 12.2, running on my iPhone 8.) tl;dr: I think someone's hacked iMessages to send messages as me. Anyone seen this? [link] [comments]
Dating app has no option to hide or remove your profile, and no option to contact whoever runs it. Posted: 01 May 2019 02:15 PM PDT I don't want to say which one it is but it's one of the lesser known dating apps. Of course you have to create your profile first, right when you open the app and before you get to see what you're able to do. Then once you've created it, there's no option to hide it or delete it. I assume this is because they want those profiles to stick around to inflate their numbers, but that's not appropriate the user needs to be able to delete their profile. There is also no contact option as there is in most apps. What do you do about this? If I just delete the app, that doesn't delete my profile. How do I contact this maker or whatever thank you. What has been/is, in your opinion, the most “hated” or less-liked iPhone ever made? Posted: 01 May 2019 01:45 PM PDT I'm just curious to know if you think that there has been an iPhone that has been more "hated" than other iPhones or if it's just the same every time a new iPhone is released. I personally feel like people really didn't like the iPhone 7 when it came out because of the whole headphone jack thing. Idk I just feel like I haven't seen so much criticising on a new iPhone since then. [link] [comments]
