| Tik Tok crashed my phone and now it's in a boot loop Posted: 22 Feb 2019 06:22 PM PST Me and my friends were making what was by far the BEST TikTok I have ever created. The timing of everything was just perfect, ya' know? Every shot was perfectly timed, mostly by accident but it didn't matter. I knew this would be a TikTok that- if posted, could go extra super crazy viral! Something my other TikToks were able to do for me (except one I made featuring my dog but to me that doesn't count seeing as it was really low effort). I wanted this TikTok magnum opus shine like the beautiful star it was, but alas. It was not to be. I was about to attempt a risky maneuver. The phone drop. It's a shot where you point the phone at a mirror then drop it on some pillows in slow motion. Then you take the same shot again and reverse. The desired effect is one where the phone is dropped and then flies back into your hand as if by telekinesis! (Here's an example of this idea from Seth Everman) At this point my battery was low but I continued on. I knew I could make this final shot count! But, as soon as I dropped it on the pillows my lovely iPhone 5C crashed. I connected to power and left it for a while but when I tried to open TikTok it would automatically crash. I tried booting it up a few more times but then it wouldn't even boot to the lock screen. It was stuck in what had to be the most ill opportune boot loop I have ever encountered. I took the phone to a specialist who told me the phone had water damage that I wasn't aware of. He said he could fix it but it would be expensive. More then I could afford. I know my TikTok is still on this phone. If I can just get it to work I'd love to finish the last shot! Does anybody have any advice? [link] [comments]  |
| Birthdays Not Saving When Editing Contacts Posted: 22 Feb 2019 04:56 PM PST Lately, I've been adding birthdays to my Contacts but every time I enter one, click save, the birthday almost immediately disappears. I've tried everything from resetting contacts and resyncing contacts, nothing works. Oddly enough, the birthdays show up fine when I load up my Google Contacts on my PC (I sync my iOS contacts with my Gmail). Any idea what might be going on? [link] [comments]  |
| Trying to add another Gmail account to my iPhone 8. Posted: 22 Feb 2019 10:54 AM PST I was able to add multiple accounts with my 7, but now with my 8, the option under "settings" — "mail" — "accounts" does not exist. There used to be "accounts" at the top of the mail settings screen. Now, the best I can do is scroll down to the bottom and it says "default account" but within that screen there is no option to add another account. Help please? [link] [comments]  |

| Camera randomly not working again. Posted: 22 Feb 2019 12:46 PM PST A few months back, my 7+ camera would randomly not work. It was like this for months. I even posted on here about it! However, after a software update, everything was fine. For months, I've been able to take pictures without problems. The other day, I updated the software again and now, I'm getting the same problem. | Can I really "jumpstart" my battery with a hair dryer? Posted: 22 Feb 2019 08:02 AM PST Hey there! Last night my charging cable decided to stop working. I let my phone die and picked up a new cable on the way to school this morning. I left it charging about 3 hours during my first class. It shows that the battery symbol when charging and also the "needs charger" symbol when I unplug the charger. However, it is still not coming on. A classmate told me that I can place my phone screen down, blast it with a blow dryer for 30-60 seconds and it will "jump start" my battery. He said the reason is old phones who have been dead too long need a jump (its an Iphone 7 and was dead for ~12 hours before I tried charging it). Obviously I'm skeptical. It sounds too good to be true and also a great way to ruin my phone. He swears it won't ruin my phone. I only found one post on a forum from years ago with one person saying it worked. I'm still not convinced. Has anyone tried this? I'm going to upgrade my phone this weekend but I'd like to at least get this one up and running until I can get to Sprint. [link] [comments]  |
| IPHONE 7 won’t receive pictures from the XS Posted: 22 Feb 2019 10:47 AM PST Starting earlier today my iPhone 7 won't download pictures from people with iPhones XS. The text shows up as message sender failed and when I tap to download it starts to load then stops. This is only happening with iPhone XS's. I have had 2 users send me pictures from there XS and the same problem happens but with all other iPhone types and androids I get the pictures no problem. The XS users are also receiving my photos that I send. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? [link] [comments]  |
| Reminders do not show up on my iPhone Posted: 22 Feb 2019 09:49 AM PST iPhone 7, I clicked yes to syncing calendar in iTunes. Calendar events show up on my phone, but nothing appears in reminders. Instead, all my reminder lists on my mac appear as "calendars" in settings on my iphone, but the reminders themselves show up in neither my calendar or reminder apps. What should I do? I also don't have the setting everyone on the internet seems to have where it says sync reminders for x time in settings on my phone. (I have the latest ios) [link] [comments]  |

My phone whoever I send imessages to (started this morning), that are images or videos, show up on the other side as tap to download. When they tap - nothing happens. I have already done the following -disabled and re-enabled imessage -signed out of imessage and back in -reset network settings Any advice? Dont feel like wiping phone. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 22 Feb 2019 07:43 AM PST Dropped my 6s a few weeks back and put off replacing it until I dropped it again and now there is this black spot and black line running up the crack. Would this be fixed with a screen replacement, or is it an LCD issue now? Hoping this link to a photo of the damage works. [link] [comments]  |
