    Welcome to our weekly stickied App thread! This is a new idea so please feel free to offer your feedback about this thread or the subreddit in general in the comments. As usual if you have a serious issue with the subreddit please contact the moderators directly.

    This thread is intended to help members of the /r/iphone community get informed about new apps that are out there. App developers may also use this thread to make users aware that their new app exists.

    Please sort comments by 'new' to find questions/information that would otherwise be buried.

    In this thread you can ask any iOS app related question that you may have. Anyone may offer advice on any issue.

    Two examples of potential questions could be; "How do I learn to code an app?", or "How is app pricing determined?"

    Developers, please include as much information about your app as possible, including size, price, release info, and anything else people request.

    We also have an official Discord Server you can join if you would like to discuss topic related to apps with other members of this sub.

    Finally, please stick to reddiquette and keep your comments on topic and substantive. Thanks for participating.

    Anyone else making more spelling errors on their iPhone than before ?

    I know it sounds really stupid but I swear lately I have been making more spelling errors on my phone yet I don't type any differently.

    I rarely made errors on my iPhone 8 or my Pixel 3 and now with my XR with a massive keyboard I can barely get 4 to 5 words in a row where I haven't messed it up.

    Is the touch input over time getting lazy? Maybe they havent dialed in the massive screen yet? Because some times I swear I have pressed the correct key and it selects the one next to it.

    If this is happening to others I'd love to know as it's driving me damn crazy.

    Screwed up my iPhone 8 after changing the screen by myself now the battery is stuck on 1% charge and won’t charge and will continuously reboot.

    The phone does connects to iTunes and but it will continuously reboot in mid way through making a backup.

    Portrait mode on iPhone XR, faces only yet objects on front facing camera

    Just as a test I tried to see if I could use the front facing camera portrait mode to take pictures of objects, and low and behold it works perfectly. If it is due to AI, why would it work on the front facing? Think it's just another case of Apple withholding features on lower priced models?

    Does activating iCloud photo clear up space on my phone?

    Hi,

    I typically upload all my photos & videos to my computer and only keep a small handful on my phone. That handful has grown to about 5GB now. I am nearing the end of the storage space on my iPhone, so I'd like to get some more space. If I enable iCloud for Photos, do these no longer store on my phone, or are they both on my phone and iCloud?

    Personal hotspot - do I need to call Verizon to activate?

    Does it cost extra?

    My kid has an iPad and for some reason I cannot get it connected to my iPhone personal hotspot. I'm wondering if it costs extra from Verizon.

    I used to do this all the time and just having difficulty. I did try searching Verizon's site but hard to figure out. Thanks guys

    How the hell do I add a custom ringtone???

    This is really starting to annoy me. I just upgraded to an Iphone SE after being on android for almost a decade. I want to use my custom notification sound (which comes from a pikmin game, I can't buy this in the store). So I look up about it, you need to use iTunes (ugh) and convert the file to AAC and then to .m4r and add it to the tones section. But they've removed the tones section in the latest iTunes. I'm supposed to be able to manually add it, which I can, but when I sync and unplug the phone, it doesn't show up. Every time I plug it back in, the tones tab of my phone is empty. I've tried using older versions of iTunes but for some ungodly reason it installs as 32 bit (even though its the 64 bit installer and I'm on a 64 bit machine) and won't recognize my phone. I've been ramming my head against the wall to do this for an hour- on an android phone it would be as simple as downloading the .mp3 and changing it in settings. Why is this so difficult? Is there something I'm missing? It's been less than a day and I'm already ready to convert back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the wall of text

    Looking for simple app to organize my photos

    So I've got ton of photos on my PC that I want to go through and organize, mainly delete bunch that I don't need. I want to be able to transfer some into iPhone, then go through it on my iPhone, then transfer it back to PC. Is there a simple app where I can transfer bunch of photos into, organize, then transfer back via USB? (preferably over wifi). Also keeping the file name the same, exif data retained etc... I don't wish to use the default iOS Photos apps because when you sync a folder it doesn't allow you to delete and makes it very difficult in terms of organizing and transferring.

    I can’t login to my Icloud on Iphone with the right user and password

    Dear Community,

    Somehow I can't login my Icloud anymore. I use the right password and once I am logged I am actually not logged in. I changed my password multiple times but it does not help.

    Does anybody has experience with this and now how to fix if? I am on a Iphone 6s with an up to date ios.

    How can I access my iphone files through FTP?

    I have a custom greeting .amr file on my macbook that I want to use as my iphone greeting. i'm reading you need to replace it using FTP but I can't figure out how to do it. Anybody have a good tutorial or answer?

    Does the iPhone camera have that feature? When I had a Snapchat a while ago I would just hold my thumb down on the record button and then without removing my thumb I would slide my thumb up and and down for zooming in and out

    I can't find anything online that shows me how to do this. Is it only for the plus size versions ? I'm on iPhone 8

    Sister, living in the US, gifted me an iPhone 7 after her contract w/ T-Mobile ended (phone still locked to this carrier). I’m currently using it only on WiFi with no mobile carrier. Is it possible to use it now in Canada with a plan? What’s the smartest way to do this with a US-locked phone?

    (And to make up for the lack of cellular ability, I've been using free WiFi calling and texting to get along so far.)

    So far I've heard 3 approaches:

    1) Call T-Mobile and let them know my situation (that I want to use a phone that's locked to T-Mobile, with a Canadian carrier now).

    2) Get my phone unlocked, and pay whatever the price is to have that done (hopefully not that expensive).

    3) Find someone who is willing to do a phone trade with me (so I can get an iPhone 7 that works in Canada).

    Any other ideas? I'd hate to be stuck with just WiFi on this phone for the rest of my life.

    [Support] Alarm going off with no sound

    Hi everyone,

    lately and on random day, when I set an alarm for the morning it goes off with no sound.

    When I wake up and look at the screen it shows as if the alarm is currently active but no sound!

    The wired thing is that it happens to my girlfriends iPhone as well.

    Background

    *I have an iPhone 8 Plus and she has an iPhone 6

    *I use a song as an alarm and she uses one of the default sounds

    *We both have Bedtime ("Sleep Analysis") active

    *The alarms are set to go off after the Bedtime ends (i.e. Bedtime ends 06:00 alarm at 06:05)

    I have already tired deleting all the alarms and restarting the iPhones.

    How can I solve this?!
