| Posted: 31 Jan 2019 03:18 PM PST So, somehow someone was able to steal my phone number for themselves. My phone stopped working and said their was no network. Apparently they got my online info and transferred my number to another phone. AT&T shut off my number and I got this taken care of quickly and bought a new SIM card and had AT&T get me back on track. My only concern is my info. I am worried that whoever did this could have recovered from ab iCloud backup and got a lot of my personal info. Photos, texts logins etc. Is this a possibility? Is there any way at all to see if a phone was restored from backup? Like a way to access restoration history? Thank you. [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 8 constantly shuts down when I'm using it Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:04 PM PST Hi all, this has been driving me crazy for about the past month and I'm willing to do almost anything to fix it. About two months ago, my iPhone 8 iOS 12.1.2 that I got in July 2018 began shutting off by itself whenever I wasn't using it. Okay, annoying, but I was willing to live with it. Then, beginning about a month ago, it began shutting off while I was using it. The intervals between this started out pretty big, with it doing it maybe once every hour on the worst days and then not at all some days. However, in the past two weeks this has become almost unbearable- when I try to power it back on after one of it's shutoffs, I get the white apple logo screen, and it immediately turns off. Sometimes I will try 3-4 times before my phone will actually turn on and prompt me to put in my passcode, and then it will shut off again in 5 minutes. It also seems to actually stay on for a pretty long time when it's connected to the charger. Something else weird that happened was two days ago, when I tried to turn it back on after shutting off it showed me the temperature control screen and said my phone needed to cool off before I could use it... that day had a high of 2*F and it wasn't even in my pocket where it could overheat, just in my hand. It ended up turning on in about a minute. I've tried doing the hard restart (quickly pressing the up button, down button, and holding the power button) but it doesn't seem to work. Nothing happens at all when I do this, not sure if I'm doing it wrong or not. If anyone can suggest anything before I take it to the Apple Store this weekend (I go to school really far from one) I would really appreciate it!! [link] [comments]  |

When I bring up the cellular icon it is grey and can't be clicked. When I go into settings, I can select the cellular tab, but when I go into the settings it won't bring nothing up. I don't believe it has anything to do with my service as it has always gave me all my cellular options even if I had no plan. Any help appreciated. [link] [comments]  |
