    Strange issue with iphone XS Max video.

    I recently went on a video shoot for my work, during this shoot i took several videos on my Iphone XS Max, after i got back to the office i began importing my videos using Photos application on my mac (done this several times before with this phone and mac with no issues), i then got an error message that said about 3/4 of my files could not be imported as its an unrecognised file type. Whats strange is they play perfectly well on my phones cameral roll, with no issues in quality. Ive tried uploading and downloading to icloud,google drive, dropbox. Airdropping them to a friends phone to try to import, nothing works and the files don't play.

    Any thoughts on what could have happened, or how to fix/restore my files would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

    Could someone with an iPhone XS Max upload a screenshot from the iOS Music app with a song playing?

    I'm doing a graphic design mockup and I'd like to see if/exactly how the UI has changed.

    Ok so I'm planning on buying an iPhone but I don't know what to choose. I've been looking at the XR and it seems like the best choice because of the price, the battery life is also a bonus. What would you guys recommend?

    My XR just made a weird noise on vibrate?

    It sounded like a mix between a click and a beep (or like a computerized mimic of a camera capturing a photo). I've never heard this before. I was in a photo editing app that has never had problems. Any ideas?

    Stolen iPhone

    Hello, my phone was stolen last night and has since been turned off so I cannot use findmyiphone, on findmyiphone I have set it to lost mode so whenever it is next on and connected to the internet it will display a message and hopefully send me a location.

    However I have since informed my carrier and given them my IMEI number and they have said they have blocked the phone and the sim so my question is if the phone and sim are blocked does that mean it will not be able to connect to the internet and connect to findmyiphone to enable lost mode and send me a location?

    Also if whoever took it took the sim card out last night does that render anything I have done useless or will it not matter?

    Any advice on the matter would be extremely useful, thank you

    Can’t FaceTime with Skype installed

    Sorry if I should be able to find this on my own, but I don't know how to search Reddit on my iPhone or iPad using the app.

    My problem is today I realized I can't seem to initiate a FaceTime call because the Skype button shows up where the FaceTime button is supposed to be. I can receive a FaceTime call but I cannot figure out how to initiate a call. I'm sure this is an easy fix but a quick Google search didn't answer me so I came to you. Thanks in advance.

    I can see someone else's Safari pages??

    When I scroll all the way down in my Safari tabs menu, there's this iCloud logo next to text that just says "iPhone" and it shows me someone else's safari browsing pages in live time (at least I think). Right now the only tab that opens says "Cannot Open Page." When I click on that it's a horoscope site for yesterday. Sometimes three or four tabs will be open, including facebook pictures they're looking at, netflix pages they're looking at (They're fans of the hotel Transylvania series) or other things like that. Anyone know what the heck is going on? Why can I see this and can they see my Safari pages?

    I just bought my mom a iPhone 6s. According to battery health, it's at 88%. That's about that the same as mine (iPhone 8 plus). However, hers drains very quickly and gets very hot. I bought it used through boost mobile but I was wondering if anyone here had any insight.

    Why did Apple remove all mail notifications in iOS 12? Here's what to do in case you run into this

    For the longest time I felt like something is weird because I've stopped getting mail taps on my Apple Watch. It's not immediately obvious because I just thought maybe I've been too busy and missing the taps.

    But after a while something is not right, so I started checking everywhere.

    And as it turns out, for some reason Apple silently REMOVED all notifications for ALL my mail accounts as part of the iOS 12 upgrade. No banners, no sounds, nothing.

    Maybe this is a bug for my upgrade? I'm not sure, but I've seen other threads on support forum that shows this so maybe its for everyone or a subset of people.

    Worse yet, when I tried to fix it by turning on all the banners and sound (which by the way the default mail tone is now hidden under "classic" because Apple decided that the tone is too old school) it STILL does not tap my watch so I thought what the heck.

    Ok another hour goes by, searched the forum. Finally found one thread. Apparently sound and vibration is now separate and I have to turn those ON too! iPhone vibration is what gives you the tap on the watch.

    But that's not all, the regular vibration for Apple apps is called "synchronized" which I can no longer use because I changed my tone to a "classic" ding. So now I have to settle for some weird vibration option. I went with "quick" which is closest to what I've had in the past 10 years (since iOS 1) but it's not exactly the same.

    Hope this helps someone saves 2 hours.

    I am seeing iCloud drive with 3.72GB storage even though i deleted the files off my local storage by turning on and off iCloud and deleting from my Files app. Any fix?

    Here's an obscure and possibly dumb question.

    From my Android, I sent an Iphone user a text. Let's say i sent this:

    Sally sells seashells.

    She immediately sent back the word Emphasized, followed by my exact text in quotes:

    Emphasized "Sally sells seashells."

    I'm wondering if this is a side effect of some obscure Iohone feature she may have triggered by accident? Before I assume she copy/pasted what I sent her.

    iPhone XR Serious Reception Issues

    I can't hold full bars with the XR where my 8 Plus had no issues, and I constantly have people tell me they can't hear me. In my office the bars would go from full to 2 and back and forth throughout the day. No issues with Data though, but I actually use my phone for phone calls.

    Went to apple store and they said they can't replicate the issue. Bought a used iPhone SE and i consistently get full bars and no issues with phone calls. What do I do? Apple is no help.

    I'm in a couple group chats and have a few friends with galaxies. Randomly their texts will come in at spurts throughout the week, but not when they initially send them. It's annoying bc ppl think I'm ignoring them when in reality I'm not even getting the texts to begin with. Is there any fix for this? My iPhone is updated with the newest OS. Thanks.

    Was the way the contact photo pops up during a call update recently?? Like within the last week or so?

    Before, the entire screen would show my contact's saved photo while the phone rang with their call. Now when they call, it's showing their contact photo in a small circle crammed in the top right of the screen next to their phone number.

    Seems like a strange change to make so wasn't sure if it was part of an update of a glitch with my device. Haven't really seen anything else about it online anywhere.

    Hello, I'm an android user (intruder alert), and I was wondering, do iOS users prefer Apple Maps or Google Maps?

    I was wondering, I'm aware that the US has a lot of iOS users, and on a touristic perspective I would like to know if you search places more often on Google Maps, Apple Maps, or other third party app so that we can adapt to your preferences here, on the other side of the ocean!
