    This post is for all of the people that are either new to the jailbreaking scene or returning to it.

    If you have any questions about what you might expect when it comes to jailbreaking go ahead and ask.

    DON'TS OF JAILBREAKING DO NOT: •Install every tweak you see •Install Install every theme you see •Install from pirated repos •Install anything without checking its compatibility •Erase All Content and Settings(this will seriously mess up your device) •Believe any jailbreaking videos that have likes/dislikes or comments disabled •Pay for a jailbreak/access to Cydia(jailbreaking always has and always will be free) •Bother developers with questions on date releases whether it's for a jailbreak or tweaks(you will most likely get attacked with many replies) •Go into your devices filesystem(using Filza) and tamper with flies unless you know exactly what you are doing •Overreact if you get Cydia errors(we all get them from time to time so just put a post on this reddit) •Believe false myths about jailbreaking •More to add

    DO'S OF JAILBREAKING DO: •Install Filza(don't use unless you know what you are doing) •Install OpenSSH •Install iCleaner Pro(has a function to disable individual tweaks and is very handy if your springboard keeps crashing) •Install a Terminal App (NewTerm2 or something similar but make sure it's compatible) •Install some app that will properly remove your jailbreak and uninstall Cydia(this is just a precaution in the event that your device gets messed up) •Follow a trusted source(Mods on the jailbreak reddit, EAP, etc.) •More to add

    [Discussion] This screenshot alone almost proves Unc0ver is more stable than Electra. Really haven’t had ANY issues I can’t clear up by just respringing (which I don’t have to do often) unless I’m taking a screenshot 75% of the time. Only bug I’ve found.

    Hello /r/jailbreak !

    TabBlocker is able to block the opening of new tabs for specified websites.

    Allot of times when I try to watch a video, or open certain webpages that contain allot of ads. I get redirected to a new tab almost directly. With Tab Blocker you are able to configure what websites are not allowed to open new tabs so you can enjoy my browsing time.

    - Configurable by settings menu.
    - Multiple URL filters (so you can block whole domains).
    - Will bypass any anti-adblocker script! (no website is able to block this method of Tab-Blocking).
    - Disable new tab animation.
    - Tested on iOS 10.x - 11.x.

    [TODO]:
    - Easy adding of URL (I hope to do this by using the share button in safari!)
    - Counter to see how many tabs there are blocked (possibly per domain)

    Sorry if the concept photo isn't great. It's my first one. My thought is that you can long hold and this menu will popup and from here you can get more options. The 3D Touch would still work to bring up the camera without having to have the menu appear. Any devs interested?

    [Question] Security of the Jailbreak in 2019

    I didn't jailbreak for quiet a very long time and have some questions about the security of the jailbreak itself. I would be happy if you guys can answer them.

    1. When i jailbreak my iPhone is it still encrypted and secure like it would without the jailbreak or can someone get access to my data without entering the passcode? For example when someone steals it or something.

    2. Is there anything I need to do after the jailbreak to increase the security besides changing the root password?

    3. Are the tweaks from sources like thebigboss etc. "safe" or "safer" for example do they test it or look into the code or can just anyone upload a tweak to the stock sources from cydia?

    4. Is it possible that my device gets completely destroyed when some error/bug occurs while it's jailbreaking or is this chance that this happens really low or nonexistent?

    I have only had cydia on iOS 9.3.5 so idk how the tweaks have updated, new ones been made, etc. Please if some of you guys can juts drop a few tweaks and what they do would be appreciated.

    My opinion: I don't care if you like Electra better or unc0ver. There will always be one that is better, but at this point, there are small differences. I think that what ever runs the best and releases the jailbreak first, will be superior, until the other platform releases there jailbreak. For me, I don't care if this person ditched this person, or this person exposed the other person, I just want the better jailbreak.

    Cydia/Sileo debate: of course we all have our memories of installing our first jailbreak and seeing that logo. We have all loved it, and it works completely fine. But when people were on installer and saw Cydia for the first time, they thought it was a great thing for jailbreaking. A update to Cydia isn't exactly needed, but it is always a great thing. To have a competitor can motivate the developer to make a better packager. Sileo looks great, and very modern, but if are going to except it, it has to be a installer to Cydia type jump. At this moment, it just looks like a Cydia with a modern skin. We need developers to create a revolutionary packager. Thanks for giving me a platform 🌚
