• After iOS 12.1.4 update I noticed that all apps that I used before update process are still open in task view after update, thus I can easily continue what I was doing. I find it amazing and really nice feature.

Help with Ondemand VPN and WiFi issues. Posted: 08 Feb 2019 05:41 AM PST I recently setup a L2TP over IPSec VPN at home so I can connect to my home servers from my iPhone when out of the house. I used a VPN on-demand profile generator found here; GitHub. I setup the profile so that if I am on Mobile data or WiFi it will connect to the VPN, except for my home WiFi network. So basically here's how it's gone so far, I'm out and about on LTE and there's the VPN icon at the top of the screen and everything works great. When I get home, it takes only a few seconds for my phone to switch to WiFi and the VPN icon disappears. Perfect. But now every time I get to work, my phone won't let go of LTE and switch to WiFi. If I go into the WiFi settings I see a check mark next to my work WiFi but I'm not actually connected to it. I verified this by monitoring the real-time traffic graph in the router at work. The only way I can get my phone to switch to WiFi is to disable the VPN, wait for the WiFi to connect and then I can turn it back on. Now when I leave work, my phone switches back to LTE and the VPN icon is back within a second or two just like it should. I don't get what the problem is, but this is defeating allot of the reason I set this up to begin with. And I setup the networks at home, and at work. Facetime if only caller on wifi? Also, is there a way to know if the receiver is currently connected to wifi? I want to avoid being charged anything if it's the case that we both need to be connected.
