| Huge problem with Bluetooth audio on macOS Mojave (stuttering) Posted: 05 Jan 2019 09:40 AM PST This has been happening for like a year at this point. When I'm connected to a bluetooth speaker, and playing a song from iTunes while working, the audio stutters every so often. Sometimes it'll be silent for a good 2-3 seconds. It's super frustrating, even more so because I've searched all over the internet and haven't found a solution for it. I've done all of the usual things (PRAM reset, SMC reset, AHT, etc.) but it hasn't helped. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. Any advice? Has anyone had the same problem? I'm using a mid-2012 Macbook Pro, 15 inch, on Mojave. I've had the problem with a JBL Flip 3, Bose Mini SoundLink, and Samsung Level Box Slim. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 05 Jan 2019 09:14 PM PST Why Speedtest on MacOS and on iOS are always showing different speeds? My MacBook Air 2015 is showing 85 mbits and iPhone XR - almost 300 mbits. Pretty much the same information every test. I was really close to router. [link] [comments]  |

It works really well except the screen who doesn't work well (but I can actually plug it to a secondary display). I was going to make a Snow Leopard clean install but I was seeking inspiration about how to use it again. Could I install Linux on it? Make a server out of it? Thanks for your help! | Posted: 05 Jan 2019 09:13 AM PST Hi guys, i recently purchased bluetooth headphones which support aptx HD standard. How can I enable aptx HD on iMac , i know that iPhones aren't supported. I know that via bluetooth explorer app I can force the Mac to use aptx codec, but that is not aptx HD. I use 2017 iMac 5k. Thanks for any suggestions. [link] [comments]  |
| How do you keep an SMB drive mounted if SIP prevents you from using autofs? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 05:17 AM PST Been scratching my head trying to setup autofs. Couldn't edit any of the files in /etc/ until I realized that SIP protection is preventing that from happening even as root. I get that I can disable SIP but it seems like Apple doesn't really want you to edit files there. So if that's the case, what's the Apple approved way of mounting an SMB volume and then ensuring that it stays mounted? Now, I'm just dealing with clicking the network shares in the Finder when they become disconnected. [link] [comments]  |
