| Current phone and spare phone sync too much Posted: 18 Jan 2019 09:45 PM PST Not sure if this is the right sub, but here goes. I have my current iPhone X which is in service, and my old iPhone 6s which isn't. The 6s is what I let my daughter play with. Sometimes we end up downloading the same games, and the save files will randomly save over each other. Most games don't even give us the option, it'll just pick one of our saves and overwrite the other. I don't want this to happen, I want both of us to have our separate saves. However, I can't figure out what to Google to solve this, and the only solution I can come up with is to make a different iTunes account to log into on the 6s, which I'd rather not do. | iphone 7plus charger port issue (not related to debris) Posted: 18 Jan 2019 04:33 PM PST Before I get the whole "just clean the lint" spheal, I did that, this seems to be a new issue I can't find anything on. He cleans out a little more gunk with a metal pick, we get back to her place and I promptly plug it in with a third party cable. Nothing. Swap to an apple charger, still nothing. Swap a third time to another third party charger, the green battery icon pops up twice then disappears and it's not charging. The employee then says he could have possibly scuffed a contact, and he tries to clean it again, plugs into yet another apple charger, nothing. While they are replacing my phone, I haven't backed this one up in a couple months and was wondering if i could somehow get it to charge, maybe with contact cleaner, something. [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 8 Plus Bootlooping when restarted Posted: 18 Jan 2019 01:16 PM PST My starting bootlooping yesterday, i put it into recovery mode and reset it, thought it was done with until i powered it off. After rebooting the phone it went into the same bootloop. Testing this out multiple times can confirm it goes back into a bootloop every time it powers down and reboots. Can anyone help? Also note i have been having problems with this phone since i received it, just not this bad .e.g power button not working for a short ammount of time, same with volume. [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 18 Jan 2019 11:35 AM PST I know, the phone is getting dated and whatnot, but I'm trying to help a friend who's having a bad time. Basically he has this phone and what I thought would be a simple fix has gone beyond me really. Standard Iphone 5S, won't boot. Hooked it up to my PC, told me it was in recovery mode, went through the process of restoring the phone, that includes the fireware stuff and what not and after this finished, it just returned back to recovery mode and prompted me to restore again. During restore the screen shows the indication bar, so I know the phone does come on in a sense, I'm pretty sure it's not battery related, put a new one in as the old one was a little warped, I've dealt with alot of iphones and the battery is a reliable one. I just can't put my finger on what it could be. I could go into more detail, but I don't think it's necessary to do so. Thank you [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 8 Plus (iOS 12.1.2) making camera shutter sound randomly Posted: 18 Jan 2019 10:13 AM PST Last night I was listening to music with my phone connected to a bluetooth speaker. Three times the music stopped and made the camera shutter sound. I checked to see if there was any photos taken or screenshots but there was none. I decided to just turn off the phone for the night. Woke up today and used my phone and there was two pictures saved from a really specific meme page that I know I didnt save. The time dated for them was like the minute or two after I turned my phone on. This has me a bit freaked out and Im wondering if my phone is compromised somehow. What should I do? | Restore iPhone photos w/o iTunes backup? Posted: 18 Jan 2019 04:58 AM PST Hi all, so my iPhone's screen got ruined and it's been sent for repair. My boyfriend just lent me his spare iPhone X and I transferred all my data into the spare phone. After which, he realised that he never backed up his iPhone X to iTunes thus causing him to lose his uni notes and his photos from his trip to NZ. Is there any way I can recover his photos although the data has (probably) been overwritten by my own? T_T I know that if he had had iCloud automatic back-up turned on it would be saved in there, but he doesn't even know if he had it turned on and I don't have any idea on how to check. Does anyone know of any way or any program(s) that would help recover the overwritten data? Thanks so much in advance. [link] [comments]  |
