- Honestly, that's some high level butthurt when you plug in your iPhone to mac to charge, leave it there, come back in several hours just to discover it did not charge and has message "Unlock to use accessories" or something.

This is a new idea so please feel free to offer your feedback about this thread or the subreddit in general in the comments. As usual if you have a serious issue with the subreddit please contact the moderators directly. This thread is intended to help members of the /r/iphone community get informed about new apps that are out there. App developers may also use this thread to make users aware that their new app exists. Please sort comments by 'new' to find questions/information that would otherwise be buried. In this thread you can ask any iOS app related question that you may have. Anyone may offer advice on any issue. Two examples of potential questions could be; "How do I learn to code an app?", or "How is app pricing determined?" Developers, please include as much information about your app as possible, including size, price, release info, and anything else people request. We also have an official Discord Server you can join if you would like to discuss topic related to apps with other members of this sub. | Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:37 AM PST Hello, I am contemplating an upgrade on a teenagers line. Currently we have a 6s+ 16gb that is starting to show its age--and battery life. Looking at apple.com and I see the 7+ is still being sold, 32gb for 569. They are still doing the 250 credit w trade in so it would be a net $319 for the 7+. A couple of quick questions for those who have a bit more apple knowledge than I. Wife and I recently picked up the xr. My first iPhone. --7+ end of life support? I'm guessing the phone would get at least a couple more years of updates? --Value at 319? Worth an upgrade for 320 to the 7 vs 500 for an XR? --portait mode? How does the see portrait mode work vs. newer models like the xr.? --Any wide ranging or known issues with the 7s? --Im assuming it's new, unused stock for the 7+. Pricing is shown on the main site, doesn't look refurb or clearance. Can someone confirm 7s are still being sold as new? Thanks for all info you all can give! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Extreme cold temperature and iPhone X Posted: 31 Jan 2019 07:05 AM PST I purchased an iPhone X that the seller dropped in a usps mailbox on Monday, then the arctic blast or vortex happened and mail pickup and delivery was suspended in their area. My package has still not been picked up. Although mail service has resumed today. I am nervous about this device being exposed for prolonged periods to this extreme cold. My understanding is that if I take it to the apple store to be repaired, I will need to pay the $129 deductible (Canada) and use 1 of my 2 accidental damage allotments. I was wondering what happens if I also break my front glass and go in to have them both replaced. Would I need to pay $129 + $39 and use up both of my accidental damage incident allotments? I will be SEETHING tbh because even Samsung has cut that shit out and given the S10 and S10+ matching triple cameras. I don't want a stupid sized phone and I'm already paying £1149 FFS. There's no apple stores in my country unfortunately so I don't if the retailer promises on providing genuine parts are true or not, also the 7 plus which I'm looking to buy has a 86% battery health so i will need to change the battery eventually. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 31 Jan 2019 02:02 AM PST So the last iphone i used was my siblings which was 4s. I'll finally be able to get my first own phone after graduation. I'm torn between X and XR. (I would've gone XS but too expensive and don't expect a huge price drop). I prefer smaller phones and a decent battery life. I don't take pictures much. I want it to last 5-6 years. So sick of Google not sticking with apps, messaging and programs and just abandoning them when the going gets tough. But I was wondering since I'm getting on it in February basically, can I pay the difference to upgrade early when September rolls around and the new phones come out to get on the regular schedule or is it strictly 12 months before you can?
