App to batch add watermark to PDF? Posted: 16 Jan 2019 10:29 AM PST I am looking for an app to batch add a watermark to each page of a pdf. I want it in order to add lines to the bottom of my teacher's PowerPoint slides so I can take notes with the Apple Pencil and notability. I have tried so many PDF apps but none can do this batch operation. I can easily do it on my Mac but much prefer it done on the iPad. Here's is an example of what I want the final product to look like: https://imgur.com/a/HE7bJwY EDIT: I am willing to pay for the app but not for a subscription. [link] [comments]

Best way to draw an image and export it to Google Drive or OneNote Posted: 16 Jan 2019 12:10 PM PST I take a lot of classes that need diagrams, simple graphs, etc. imbedded into the lecture notes. What's the best app to create an image and be able to copy/paste or export it to Google Drive and OneNote? I know Pages by Apple works but I don't like the layout and the interface. Edit: I'd really prefer it to be a fairly simple, I don't need a lot fancy functions. I'd prefer to have the ability to insert straight lines, draw, and add text on top of my drawings. My Inability to Commit - Own an iPad and a MacBook Air Posted: 16 Jan 2019 07:00 AM PST Hello all. I have a 12.9 iPad Pro (2018) and a new MacBook Air (2018). I'm a professor. I like the iPad for reading lectures, marking up exams, etc. I like the MacBook for fast input, heavier computing, etc. So I'm not a programmer who absolutely needs or prefers one over the other. I'm a writer and professor. I have a keyboard folio for the iPad. But it makes it heavy. I know, not heavy, but heavier. I force myself to sometimes use the iPad with just the pencil for input. I also force myself to use the on-screen keyboard with the iPad. Doing some things on the iPad, I feel like I hurt my brain trying to figure out a best use case for the iPad when I could just do the task on the MacBook without thinking. I never believed that Apple needed to make a Surface-like device. I don't want to use a touch screen on a Mac (uncomfortable to touch your screen for regular navigation so I would never use it). But I certainly miss a trackpad on an iPad. This is turning into a rant. But I wanted to ask: do any of you out there struggle with this? I am constantly thinking: "which device should I bring?" and "I'd rather not bring them both." How has your experience framed your use of the two devices (if you own both of them)? Is it time Apple create some sort of convertible Surface something with a detachable iPad that can run iOS when detached but then runs a macOS lite or macOS when attached to a keyboard? Bag recommendations for iPad Pro 12.9 in 2018 Posted: 16 Jan 2019 01:32 PM PST Hello, I need finding a stylish shoulder bag to carry around my iPad pro. I am looking for a black, sleek, and fitting bag. I recently ordered this Lacoste bag thinking it would fit just fine, however, it turns out it was an inch smaller from what it was advertised. iPad 2018 - Dual audio output? Posted: 16 Jan 2019 02:14 AM PST I have a 2018 iPad (not the Pro), and am looking to put some movies / TV episodes on it for a long flight I have coming up. In the past with my old iPad I have used a dual 3.5mm adaptor so the girlfriend and I can both listen to it. If I get a lightning to 3.5mm adaptor can one use this and one use the 3.5 audio out or will it just default to one output? [link] [comments]
Best Free Video Editor for iOS 9.3.5 Posted: 16 Jan 2019 01:08 PM PST I have an old iPad and it seems like every free video editor I try to download is not compatible. Ugh. Thanks for your help!!!! [link] [comments]

Shortcuts With On-Screen Keyboard Posted: 16 Jan 2019 09:26 AM PST I am really hesitant to get the Smart Keyboard for my iPad Pro 10.5" as the reviews on the Apple Store app basically pan it as a consumable product due to its incredibly low durability. {If anyone has any thoughts about that, I would love to hear feedback} That is not what I'm here for though. I am starting to get decent at typing with the on-screen keyboard for the time being and I was wondering if there is any way to get keyboard shortcuts on this keyboard. In my mind, it would be a command type button where the dictation or emoji button would be. Is this a feature buried in the operating system or something I need to submit to the feedback page of Apple's website? [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2019 08:58 AM PST If game apps can me made to use controllers. Is there no way for someone to make a Web Browser App that could use a mouse? Even if this used a proprietary mouse I would be so happy. Also I know nothing about programming it just bugs me ios has game controller support and not mouse. and also yes i know i want a macbook not an iPad.............. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2019 04:45 AM PST At the moment, if you ask Siri to play a song at a certain time, it just plays the song straight away. Is there a way to make this work? Would be a nice idea for an alarm [link] [comments]
Best Note Taking App With Page Breaks? Posted: 16 Jan 2019 07:08 AM PST My dad recently got the new iPad and pencil for his work. He's an old-school designer and he used to be carrying around hundreds of pages with sketches and notes on them so having everything in the iPad is fantastic and he's loving it so far. The one problem he's encountered is that the native Apple Notes app doesn't seem to support pages so when he tries to export his note as a photo/pdf or print it then it either exports a super long vertical photo or the printer page breaks kick in in the middle of lines/diagrams which is an issue when he sends his design off to be prototyped. My question is what is the best app available for note taking with page breaks? i.e. virtual sheets of paper. He loves how easy to use the Notes app is but this is a bit of an issue. We tried Pages which seems to do that he wants but it seems a lot more finicky to use than Notes. Has anybody had a similar issue? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Can someone explain why devs all need to update their apps to support new aspect ratio? Posted: 15 Jan 2019 04:23 PM PST On Android apps kinda just fit screens. You can have just about any size and as long as its not a super weird aspect ratio it'll workout. Hell even weird aspect ratios work, the software just streatched the UI a lil in a way where it looks natural. Yet here on my 2018 iPad Pro I'm still waiting for apps to update even though the screen size nor the aspect ratio has changed from previous 12.9" iPads. [link] [comments]
