The new NamezPlz is divided into this sections: NamezPlz - Home: Allows you to see your CPU, RAM, battery and Network usage Search for a specific section (CPU, RAM, and Network usage) Click on the graph to see bigger and more advanced information Tips: Show you what daemons are using battery, CPU or RAM at a high level and disable them Show apps that are using battery, CPU or RAM at a high level and kill them Show special tweaks to install to increase your performance Processes: Note, I am working very hard on this, temporarily it only shows users applications, but I am working so it can show system apps and daemons. [Question] Is nsurlsessionid still an issue? [Help] Is it possible to kill SpringBoard after an app is launched ? Posted: 07 Jan 2019 11:47 PM PST I'm trying to run a memory hungry app (Nihilumbra, https://www.nihilumbra.com/) on an iPad 1. The device can *almost* run the game, and I've managed to get quite far using a bunch of memory hacks (running dynamic_pager with a 2GB swap file, and unloading daemons locationd, BTServer, syslogd, dataaccessd & profiled). But at the "boss level" (i.e. final scene) of Level 3, the app will crash everytime due to low memory. Below is a screenshot showing top sorted by rsize when under load (note the size of virtual memory!). I reckon if I could close SpringBoard (either prior to launching the app or just afterwards) then I'd be able to get through this "busy" level - but I'm not sure if this is possible ? Two questions: Can you launch an app (via ssh, e.g.) without SpringBoard running (i.e. after a launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist) Can you close SpringBoard after an app is already running. If so how ? (If I try a launchctl unload then I just get the "spinny wheel" onscreen. I know that the device is probably a bit limited - but it's an awesome game which almost runs, and am just trying my luck on an old device.
