Why hasn't apple changed the ANNOYING volume icon that pops up right in the middle of the screen?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 11:41 AM PST

Why hasn't apple changed the ANNOYING volume icon that pops up right in the middle of the screen when watching a video? Its honestly getting patethic. Even instragram, youtube and snapchat changed it. I don't get it. Does no one over there think this is the most annoying feature about the iphone?

Report issues instead of complaining about them on Reddit

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 03:17 PM PST

Why not report the issues y'all are having instead of posting them on Reddit? Some of you guys post amazingly detailed lists of the issues you're experiencing, and Apple will probably never see them. Just my two cents.

Space Grey MacBook Air wallpaper download

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 04:22 PM PST

This is my first time using Pixelmator Pro, and I messed around for around an hour on this image and came up with this. I did my best to do an HD render of the wallpaper.

PSA: You can't remove people from a group chat or leave it if it's only 3 people

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 08:15 AM PST

So, funny thing, I was about to send an iMessage to a Grindr hookup using Messages on macOS, so I clicked the "New Message" button to get back to my conversation with him. After typing his name, I accidentally added my dad too (I'm not out to my family) by just typing "d" then "enter".

I panicked and tried to remove my dad from the convo, and it was simply IMPOSSIBLE. After a quick research, I discovered that you simply can't do that in a 3-person convo. I had to add my sister so that it is a 4-person convo, to delete my dad, then again my had to add my brother to delete the Grindr guy. Also, you can't leave the group chat yourself.

After replacing dad and Grindr guy with my brother and sister, I deleted the conversation. Apparently my sister never received anything so I hope the convo was deleted from everybody's phone (I doubt it tbh).

Anyway I am furious and scared, and I don't understand how it can be. I mean, is it a bug or a feature? If it's a feature, then it's a really stupid one.

Apple Music Suggestion: Block Specific Artists

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 07:52 PM PST

Before you say it...yes, I've submitted this to Apple.com/Feedback. But I thought I'd post it here as well to see what the groupthink on this suggestion would be.

Inspired after seeing that R. Kelly is making even more money from Spotify (at least) after the documentary series came out about his repeated sexual abuse of women, I'd really like to make sure I don't contribute any fractions of a cent unintentionally to his bank account.

    Ideally, this would

    • Stop the artist's songs from coming up in:

    • For You Playlists • Suggested Albums and Essentials • Algorithmic Radio Stations

    • Skipped if a song is included in a curated playlist.

I'd understand that blocking on live radio stations or shows (such as Beats One) would be impractical, but the other ideas I think are achievable.

I know that such a feature could be misused, especially on politically polarizing people, and that there are many people who might misuse it. But I'd hope that the reasons for having such a feature would outweigh the potential misuses.

What do the fine people of r/apple think of this?

What's your Mojave experience for the MacBook Pro 2015?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 06:52 PM PST

For those who have installed Mojave on your MacBook Pro 2015 , what has the experience been like for you? I'm considering upgrading to it, but I want to know how the performance and the battery life is.

If you upgraded on older devices as well, how has Mojave been for you?
