Apple should allow checking iPhone/AirPods battery percentage from our Watch. Posted: 09 Jan 2019 02:33 AM PST EDIT: Apparently AirPods already have this feature. Sorry! Would still be super useful for the iPhone as well tho. :) Title. My phone was charging and I was doing stuff around the house, wanted to check if the phone had charged enough, tried using the watch, but there was no way to see it. Why hasn't Apple added this to watchOS yet? [link] [comments]

Any way to view my heart rate via my macbook from my apple watch? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 02:12 AM PST Hi, just wondering if there is any way to view my health info from my watch to sync directly to my macbook, maybe a widget or something? Would be great to be able to just look at my desktop and see my heart rate there [link] [comments]

Today I was glad to wear an Apple Watch Posted: 08 Jan 2019 10:58 AM PST We all have that moment where we ask ourselves wether we can justify the purchase of a device that expensive, especially if you went for the stainless steel version which is more than twice as expensive as the aluminum one. And of course we are creative finding reasons for it, but today I was truly glad to own one. I have a spinal cord injury and am not really able to walk. Today I was taking my daily shower and pulled a classic, falling from the bench we have in our shower. Normally, it's wheelchair people 101 to be able to get back up, but I recently had a surgery on my hand and I'm not allowed to fully use it yet. Normally, my girlfriend is at home, luckily one hell of a woman and tough enough to get me back up. But today she had a doctors appointment and was not able to leave immediately. Luckily I was wearing my Apple Watch and able to contact her. As I said she was not able to leave immediately but at least I was able to inform her about my unlucky situation and she was able to let me know how long it would still take here. I could have been calling the emergency services, too, but I didn't want to be overly dramatic. It was still calming to know that I have all kinds of options directly on my wrist. Bonus: I was even able to close the windows using Siri preventing me freezing to death. [link] [comments]
Getting every notification except mail Posted: 09 Jan 2019 06:56 AM PST New to Apple Watch, picked up a Series 4 a few days ago. All is working flawlessly except mail notifications. The watch simply isn't notifying me when a new email arrives. In settings I've set to mirror iPhone, no luck. I've tried custom settings, no luck. Any idea what I'm missing? I have two accounts on my iPhone mail app, yahoo and exchange, if that's useful information. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2019 05:33 AM PST I have created a folder on my iMac's Photos.app called Watch Photos, and moved about two dozen photos into it. I ordered the photos in a way that makes sense to me, like grouped with like, but the order of the phots in Photos.app is not reflected on the Watch. Any way to fix that [link] [comments]

Having to frequently enter passcode Posted: 09 Jan 2019 07:27 AM PST Hi. Is anyone having the «problem» with the watch that you frequently have to enter your pass code? I get this every now and then, and after a few hours og wearing it (like after work) i start to get this like 1-2 times evey hour. Is it a «timer» or something? Or something else. Has anyone arrived at a configuration for the watch face that works to only display data? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 07:26 AM PST I'm wearing my regular watch on my other hand and using my Apple watch specifically for work related data. Has anyone reached a successful configuration that makes wearing both a manual old school and Apple watch more reasonable? Trying to solve for redundancies. [link] [comments]
Series 3 Bluetooth fails in water? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 03:35 AM PST Sorry if discussed before, but is it normal for the Apple Watch's Bluetooth to fail when it's submerged? I have waterproof Sony Bluetooth headset and when I swim, the Bluetooth will not stay connected. It's not an issue with the headset. [link] [comments]

Push notifications from Mac to Apple Watch? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 03:11 AM PST So has anybody made any widget or app to mirror or push macOS notifications to Apple Watch? Or is there any way to do that? Would be great to have it. [link] [comments]
Heart rate monitor and ECG no longer working Posted: 09 Jan 2019 06:45 AM PST So as of yesterday, my series 4 watch is no longer measuring a heart rate or ECG data. The green LED light is on in the back, I tried it very snug on my wrist, it was not damaged, and I tried turning it off and back on again. What else can I try to fix this? [link] [comments]
There really needs to be a "Duplicate Watch Face" option. (opinion) Posted: 08 Jan 2019 02:48 PM PST Most of the time, I have a watch face I like but just want to create a copy of it and change a complication or two. That way I can flip back and forth between two faces depending on my needs. Infographic is a good example of one I have set up just the way I like it but like to change just a complication or two or the layout and have several of them. As it is now, you need to go to the face gallery, pick one, and customize every complication all over again. I'd love to just duplicate one quickly and make a few quick changes. Am I the only one? Or am I missing something and there is a better way to do this than what I'm doing? [link] [comments]
Walkie Talkie App not letting me add anyone... Posted: 09 Jan 2019 06:07 AM PST My walkie talkie app hasn't been letting me add anyone, it says connecting, then sends me a message saying it couldn't connect to the other person...and they knew I was trying to connect to them (I made sure the app was turned on on my watch and theirs), anyone else have the same issue? And how can I fix this :/ [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Jan 2019 05:52 AM PST Wondering if the series 3 is really ok to wear in shower, pool? I'm so scared of killing it with water. [link] [comments]
Apple Watch S4 counts way too many floors climbed Posted: 08 Jan 2019 11:46 PM PST I was wondering why my activity rings closed very fast lately and discoverd my apple watch counted 140 floors climbed yesterday when in reality i climbed about 20-30 floors. I looked back at my activity data and the wrong measurements began on november 29th. I did reboot, reset and deleted and set up from backup but the error is still there. Any ideas how to fix this? Isn't Apple Watch way too sensitive regarding exercise? Posted: 09 Jan 2019 01:37 AM PST So I got myself an S4 recently, it's really neat and all, and I've been closing rings almost every day since I got it. However, I feel like closing the rings seems pretty easy. I am by no means trying to brag about me being all physical all day, because I sure as hell am not. But it counted 15 minutes of exercise, when I walked to my university and back again (a trip that takes 20 minutes in total or so). Just walking regularly, not even a brisk walk. Isn't just walking a really low standard for exercise? My other issue is that "standing" seems really unreliable. Sometimes I get the "time to stand" notification, then I get up for a couple of minutes, walk a couple of minutes, make myself some tea, and it won't count it as standing - but sometimes I'll just pull up my standing desk and keep working while standing still, and it'll count that as standing. That resulted me in having only 10 out of 12 standing hours, when I definitely walked around many times the last couple of hours, which it didn't record. Anyone else with a similar issue?
