| Is connected to wifi but wont let me use anything that uses wifi Posted: 30 Jan 2019 01:55 AM PST So i had this issue with my first apple tv, its connected to my wifi and when i go into youtube, netflix ect it says theres no connection but my wifi is working completly fine on my phone and other things in the house. | Feature Request - Split Screen Apps Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:30 PM PST Here in Aus we have a newly launched service called Kayo - dubbed the Netflix of sport. It's impressive and amongst other features offers split view of sports or channels (upto 4). Made me think - why can't Apple build this into the next OS. Enabling split screen of apps and video enabling you to watch NBA League pass and another app at the same time. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 29 Jan 2019 04:11 PM PST I keep getting "need to re-authenticate" error with the Bravo Now App. I have single sign on with DISH and gave access to Bravo and the NBC App. I have tried deleting and reinstalling both apps, signing in and out of DISH, but nothing works. | Streaming from iTunes library seems to... screws up iTunes Posted: 29 Jan 2019 01:33 PM PST If I'm playing local content from my iTunes library on my ATV... after some number of shows, I'll stop being shown content at the Apple TV. If I go over to my Mac to quit/restart iTunes, iTunes locks up and requires a force-quit to end it. Then I restart, it checks the iTunes database, and we're back in business - for a day or two. | Apple TV Screensaver not starting Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:05 PM PST Apple TV screensaver is no longer working. Noticed while listening to Pandora, and not touching the remote for a while, the screensaver was no longer activating. Then started noticing that this is true for any application. It used to work. I played around with the settings... tried changing from Aerial photos to Apple photos, tried changing the activation time from 5 minutes to 2 minutes. Rebooted the system. The screensaver will not start. I am able to force start the screensaver by selecting Preview, in screensaver settings, as well as forcing it to start from the main menu screen. The screensaver will not start on its own after specified period of inactivity. Previous to it no longer working, the settings were not changed. | Posted: 29 Jan 2019 01:52 PM PST I'm not sure when it changed but when I open an app I have a passcode on the keyboard doesn't pop up anymore. This sort of defeats the purpose of the passcode as I have to manually select it and my kids can see what the numbers are. Anyone else have this problem? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Fixed my sound sync issues with an AppleTV 4k Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:38 AM PST Found this old thread ( https://www.reddit.com/r/appletv/comments/8l2a4f/apple_tv_4k_sound_is_out_of_sync/ ), because I found this looking for a solution to the sound sync issues I was having. My audio was about 120ms ahead of the video as per this sync test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjAa0wOe5k4 I read this post: http://community.vboxcomm.com/viewtopic.php?t=16 and found the information worked for me. Specifically I put my video from RGB to YCbCr. (I also switched to stereo, it might have been that as well). After making those two adjustments, it's bang on. [link] [comments]  |
