Finally cut the cord (in my case, the satellite dish). The Apple TV (4th Gen) is now my main device!

Anyone else use their Apple TV exclusively? I'm using Sling and Youtube TV. Still cheaper than the base Directv subscription with whole home dvr.

Whenever I'm home I'm usually doing some chores and will be moving between my living room, bedroom and office. I'd love to have one TV show or movie playing across three different screens. Is this a feature I can implement with Apple TV? Sorry if this has been answered before, I'm trying to search but I'm not finding anything.

I’m not able to watch a purchased movie

So I turned on my Apple TV today to watch a movie from my collection and I decided to watch the film Baby Driver. In my library, the cover of the film is greyed out and when I click on it I get a message saying "item Not Available" and "this item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store." So does this mean I'm no longer able to watch it? I've tried it on my iPhone and I get the same message and nothing comes up when I search for the movie on iTunes. Any idea what's going on?

Crackling audio on NBC with ATV 3

Has anybody else noticed the crackling audio that comes when watching Chicago Fire and Chicago PD? No matter where I have my volume level of my receiver or tv I get the same crackling sound during very intense moments or higher audio from the show.

I've done some research and did a system restore but that didn't work. It started after the summer and I was hoping it would be fixed with the new seasons that started this week but it wasn't so I thought I'd ask the world.

Upset alerts

Any idea how to narrow upset alerts? This goes to all my devices. I follow MLB and Men's NCAA basketball but getting upset alerts for women's NCAA basketball. I certainly respect women's NCAA and do watch it but a top 10 alert should be more specific. Anyone else with this problem?

PSA: 4K ATV Remote Lag Fix

Hi folks,

I purchased the 4k ATV for my Samsung KS8000 TV near launch date. I've been plagued with Remote Lag for as long as I can remember, specifically the touchpad navigation responding ~1 second after input, or flat out dropping some input commands.

For example, tapping the right side of the trackpad in 1-2-3 time, yields move right in 1-----2--3.

I read that this cable can help fix this issue, perhaps by adding some form of shielding to protect from interference. Happy to say it fixed the issue right away. The issue returns immediately when plugging in the old cable(cheap no frills from Fry's) again.

Buy 4K ATV or wait until Sept/Oct?

I'd like to get a 4K ATV so that I can fully enjoy HomeKit and use it as a better TV OS than what's on our Living Room Samsung (that I've had for a couple months now).

But I know the existing model came out in September 2017, and I heard Apple might be dropping a dongle of some sort to compete with other sticks.

I wouldn't be interested in such a product so my question is:

Do you think there will be any significant updates to the Apple TV this year? Do you think that if I can hold out until September/October, the 6th generation will have significant advantages over the current 5th Gen?

Streaming audio from Homepod > Apple TV > AV amp

I'm trying to figure out if i can link my Homepod to an Apple TV so I can:

Ask siri for a song on the homepod Stream it through to apple TV Take an audio output from my apple TV to an AV amp

I was thinking I might be able to create an 'audio scene' using homekit - linking the Homepod to Apple TV.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Or any alternative ideas?
