    Mojave on Macbook Pro 2015

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 06:41 PM PST

For those who have installed Mojave on your MacBook Pro 2015 , what has the experience been like for you? I'm considering upgrading to it, but I want to know how the performance and the battery life is.

If you upgraded on older devices as well, how has Mojave been for you?

    Education discount at apple store?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 06:18 PM PST

Could I actually get an education discount if I choose to shop at an actual apple store rather than online? If so, what "proof" is needed? Is a student ID sufficient?

What parts are interchangeable between Late 2013 MBP and Mid 2015?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 10:58 AM PST

My Late 2013 (https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-i7-2.0-15-iris-only-late-2013-retina-display-specs.html) has seen better days. I've got 2 dead pixels on the screen, the case is got some wear and tear, and the touchpad makes odd noise but still works fine. Recently I tried to kill it with a space heater and turned half my keys into shrinkydinks, but amazingly that was the only fatality, as the computer still works fine.

A friend of mine heard my plight and had a pristine mid 2015 (https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-i7-2.5-15-dual-graphics-mid-2015-retina-display-specs.html) she spilled water on and the logic board was fried (Starts up but doesn't recongize the SSD, and doing internet recovery puts it into a loop). I know I can't swap out the logic boards, but her case, monitor, and keyboard/touchpad look brand new.

Could I swap out the internals of the 2013 to the 2015 model? IE do the screws all line up and would the 2013 logic board recognize the different touchpad and monitor?

    Thanks in advance.

Which browser do you use and why?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 12:51 PM PST

As the title states, what browser do you use for your MacBook? I ask because I am constantly trying to find the right tools and software that work best for me and I consistently teetering between Chrome and Safari so I wanted to get some pro/cons of the browsers from your perspectives.

    Thanks guys!

Spacebar seems wonky ... I get a stream of spaces while typing as if its pressed all the time. What can I do ?

Got a 2012 Macbook Air 2012. Seems the spacebar key is costantly pressed. I often get a constant stream of spaces while typing as if someone is holding the spacebar down. Sometimes pressing the spacebar doesnt register. I have tried cleaning the keyboard but to no avail. What can I do ?

Upgraded macbook - question about buying new charger?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 11:41 AM PST

I recently upgraded from an ancient MacBook Pro 2010 model to a slightly less ancient MacBook Air 2015. Just realized the chargers aren't compatible. Does anyone know where I can find just the Mag Safe T2 cord? I don't need a new power brick, but that's all Amazon is turning up.

    iPhone photo cache.

    Posted: 07 Jan 2019 01:24 PM PST

Hey, I wanted to clean up some space on my MBA and I always see my iPhone photo cache on it and it's almost 13 gb. I previewed one „data" and saw pictures that I no longer have on either device, but also pictures I still have.
I was wondering if I could just delete all folders in it or will it have any negative effects. I Googled the issue, but some say yes and some say no.

Coffee spilled on Macbook Air a few weeks ago.. It doesn’t turn on anymore and if I plug it in to the charger, the charger doesn’t light up like it normally did.

I dried it off as best as I could when it happened and read somewhere that waiting a few weeks to try turning it on might help. It's still dead but I'm just wondering if I'm totally SOL or if there is anything I can do to recover my pictures saved on there. Also, not sure if this is the right place to post this.
