| Friend has unknown stuff in his wallet Posted: 11 Jan 2019 05:53 PM PST My friend has never set up his apple wallet before until now he bought a concert ticket and added it to the wallet and when he checked it he saw a whole bunch of stuff inside that he never put. There was an airplane ticket tied to a person he's never met before and a starbucks gift card with $50 in it and an apple store gift card. Do you guys happen to have an idea of how this happened? I don't think he's ever shared his apple id either. Also do you think he should take his personal stuff (just the concert ticket) out of it? [link] [comments]  |
| iMac has completely stopped working Posted: 11 Jan 2019 06:29 PM PST So I was just browsing Reddit and watching YouTube on my iMac (I think it's from 2011-2013 and runs on either El Capitan or Sierra, I can't remember) and it crashed for the first time in memory. By crashed I mean that the screen when very dark (but not completely off) and kept repeating the last millisecond of sound from the video is was watching until I shut it off using the power button. Upon turning it back on it plays the familiar "turning on" sound, but the screen is flashing with an array of colors as seen in the image below. I've tried resetting it again and can't think of anything else since I can't access anything on the computer. [link] [comments]  |

| Subcategories Disappeared from Mojave's App Store Posted: 11 Jan 2019 12:00 PM PST I can't view subcategories in the new Mojave App Store. I don't know why and it's really bugging me. Apple couldn't help either after trying to contact them. When I click on categories and then click on GAMES... the upper right corner shows me all categories AGAIN. There aren't subcategories of Games there. Can someone walk me step-by-step on how to view subcategories? I'm almost certain 99.999% it's a bug but I just want to double check. [link] [comments]  |

| MacBook Pro 9,2 13 Inch Mid-2012 "Your computer restarted because of a problem." Posted: 11 Jan 2019 04:25 PM PST I keep getting these errors randomly once or twice a week. There is no pattern to the error. No matter what I'm doing at some point the computer will freeze for a second, go black, reboot, then show me a gray screen telling me my Mac restarted because of an error and then work again normally for a while. My MacBook Pro will not upgrade to High Sierra or Mojave as no matter what I do during the install I will get the same error screen and the install will fail. Sierra 10.12.6 with all the updates works perfectly the vast majority of the time besides the infrequent error as explained above. The MacBook Pro is in near perfect condition. No idea what's causing this. I have since upgraded the RAM to 16GBs and the SSD to 120GBs. I also replaced my hard drive cable as it was showing a little wear to the third revision "821-00698-A" version. This has not solved the issue. It doesn't seem to get abnormally hot. I'm at a loss. I just changed my password on my Gmail account, which disconnected the email form my "Internet accounts" on my macbook, and when I go into system preferences to change it- I keep having an error where it'll continuously look like I'm being logged in but nothing ever happens. | Can't remove log in details from app on iPad Posted: 11 Jan 2019 08:56 PM PST I've been having issues logging into my ps messages and communities apps for a week now. So I tried it on another phone and it worked. The issue is some bug I think that I need a clean slate but my iPad app always has "continues as Aesthete18". I've deleted the app, restarted the iPad, deleted the app from storage direct, deleted the backup from iCloud. No matter what, the App Store will show the cloud download symbol and when I download, it says continue as my name which causes a bug that doesn't log me in. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

Currently running High Sierra version 10.13.6. I've upgraded the RAM from 4GB to 16GB a few years back and I have about 150GB free out of 320GB for storage. I primarily use it for school and hoping to get through grad school with it. Only issues I've had recently is I couldn't get it to start and had to reinstall OS and about every 30 minutes it'll freeze for about 10 seconds, but then it'll be fine. Is there any regular maintenance I could do to ensure longevity? If I have a few hundred PDFs and other such downloaded files (class syllabi, etc.) that are from 2011-2014 should I clean those out or does that not matter? The only improvements I could think to make would be to upgrade to SSD and replace the battery as it's starting to get weak. [link] [comments]  |

I have tried pressing the menu and middle button at the same time then I see the apple logo a moment and it brings me back to the original message. Anything I can do? | Macbook Pro unlock with AWS4 stopped working Posted: 11 Jan 2019 10:03 AM PST Unlocking my macbook pro with my AWS4 suddenly stopped working. I can still see the "Unlocking with Apple Watch" text on the login screen but somehow it's not logging me in but instead just shows the password field. I tried everything including turning off/on the bluetooth and wifi from both my MBP and AW as well as rebooting both of them and obviously that didn't worked at all. Edit: my laptop has torx screws but every resource I found online says it's three 14 mm phillips #00 screws and seven 3 mm phillips #00 screws. I'm gonna get the Phillips screws and call it a day. The person who gave it to me is a family member, and they received it from a friend (a couple of years ago) when that person got a new phone. My family member has never tried to use it. As it turns out, the phone is carrier locked and won't work with my SIM card. I've long since gotten a new phone, but I'd like to unlock the 6 Plus. My issues are as follows:
I've spoken to representatives from both Apple and the company that I think was the original carrier. Both have claimed that they are unable to assist me, and have redirected me to the other. I've factory reset the phone, and it is currently not registered with Apple ID. I was told to look for an unlock app, but have been unable to find anything like that. Just to be clear, the phone is not stolen. It' has been given away twice, and I now have a phone I can't use outside of WiFi. I can't even sell it in this condition. After we got it back i would notice that in random areas the screen would be pressed without any input. I later learned that this is called ghosting. I tried to look up tips and all of them are from people saying that it was repaired wrong. I don't know what happened at the repair place but i know i need this fixed. Any help at all?
