Purchased new iPhone, now old password keeper not working Posted: 03 Dec 2018 10:26 AM PST Purchased a new Xs Max for my wife this weekend. We backed up her old iPhone 7 to iCloud so (we thought) we could seamlessly transition to the new phone (and erased everything on the 7 for the trade in). However now on the Xs, the app that holds all of her passwords will not work. When I attempt to open the app it just says "app no longer available in iTunes". I thought that was the whole purpose of backing up everything? I even tried a restore from our computer when we got home. Same thing. She has many passwords that she needs for her job and I'm out of ideas. Any help would be much appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Apple Store put my phone into recovery mode. Posted: 03 Dec 2018 11:34 AM PST Title is the short version. First, what does this mean? Will I lose my pictures and contacts and messages? Second, why would they need to do this? For more context: I broke my iPhone 6 screen to the point where the phone was not even usable. I took it to the store to get it fixed, and they needed me to login to Find My iPhone on their iPad. I did not know my password and tried to reset it, but of course they sent a verification code to my phone (that cannot be used) in order to reset the password. So, she said she would have to put the phone into recovery mode and that it would be ready to be fixed in 4 days. What does any of this mean? Mostly concerned about losing all my stuff. Thanks for the help. [link] [comments] |
Is it detrimental to use your iPhone while plugged in, and fully charged? Posted: 03 Dec 2018 09:55 AM PST I tether occasionally and sometimes have it plugged in for an hour or so fully charged. [link] [comments] |
My photos won't completely transfer to my computer and are randomized in order, how do I fix it? Posted: 03 Dec 2018 09:23 AM PST My photos used to be able to completely transfer to my computer by USB cable. But now when I connect my iphone 6s to my computer and open up the apple folder, DCIM > 108apple/109apple/110apple/whateverapple > pictures I can't find all the photos that are in my iphone so I can't transfer all of them to my computer. Also some of the "apple" folders seem to be missing and I don't know how to get them back. The photo name files are so random now too. They used to be called something like img_8813 or something and now they are called AENF8602 or CIQO9046. It's completely random name and it doesn't organize the photos by date like I would like them to. All I want to do is just to get all my photos tranferred to my compupter so I could back them up and have them organized in an orderly fashion by date. Does anyone know how to do that?
