    Ok he is telling me I can upgrade to the XS Max for $68 and would have to turn in my iPhone X to them. We're talking cause I was just seeing how much it would cost me to upgrade when I get ready, course when there jailbreakable. He is trying to tell me that Apple now has something on the chipset that is able to tell them when you jailbroken your phone even if you do a fresh restore on it or say run something like Recover that the chipset logs it and it would automatically void your warranty. I'm calling bullshit but wanted to see what you guys think. If you do a fresh restore over iTunes I don't think they would be able to tell I jailbroken your phone before. Whatcha think?

    [Help] I'm going to an Apple Store to change my battery, I'm worried about losing jailbreak

    I'm on iOS 11.3.1 and jailbroken with Electra.

    In a few days I plan on going to an Apple Store to change my battery but I don't want them to upgrade my iOS version, Also, I've read that if they find jailbreak stuff (cydia) on the phone they won't do the operation.

    What can I do?

    [Question] Is there a tweak that would let me “throttle” the amount of cpu an app can use?

    I'm asking this because for some reason whenever I'm watching YouTube it easily uses 45-60% of my cpu and I'd like to tone that down a bit because I've been having very bad battery life with it. Usually after watching 2 hours of youtube it has used around 45-50% of my battery.

    If there isn't a tweak, do you think it would be possible for someone to even make one?

    Rec0vering will have a redo. The release was very stable and many people confirmed it working and I was very pleased to see this. But, it wasn't the criticism that made me decide this, it was the code. Before I released rec0vering to the world pwn20wnd stated the code was dirty and wasn't pleasing to the eye. I have to admit that I agree and GeoSn0w thought the same. In his video featuring rec0vering (thanks Geo :P) he also stated the script was dirty. Pwn20wnd suggested I remake it but I decided not to and now it can't be used because of unc0ver 2.0 adding new JB files that I need to update. So I decided to remake rec0vering with some awesome developers :)

    here's what we're thinking :

    • We (Me and the other developers) will remake the code of rec0vering to be a lot faster, safer and more stable. We have an idea of how we will go about making rec0vering.

    • We are thinking of a way to delete the OTA file ourselves since some people's Apple devices doesn't delete the OTA file, despite them clicking "delete"

    • We also want to hear what your suggestions are as well so please comment them below.

    Also I wanted to say this : If you used rec0vering and you were using unc0ver 2.0, your device is completely fine. Rec0vering isn't updated to unc0ver 2.0 because of added JB files, meaning after running rec0vering 1.0 (initial release) your device WILL be fine, just some unc0ver files will still remain sadly :/

    [Request] a way to remove the play/pause button on [SpinXI]. I can already tap the circle to play/pause, so why not add a feature to remove the play/pause button for a cleaner look?

    [Discussion] My experience in getting my battery changed at an Apple Authorized Repairer

    So I decided to go for a battery change for my iPhone 6S and was worried about losing my jailbreak. So instead of going to apple themselves, I went to instead an Apple Authorized Repairer which the name implies are a certified 3rd Party Apple repair shop.

    So I pop in and its the same price as if you were to get it replaced at Apple. They tell me the procedure to backup my Phone and sign an agreement and I had to wait a week for my battery to be delivered. Now before signing the agreement, I inquired about updating and their policy of Jailbroken devices and the chances of them updating.

    Q. "Will the battery change require an iOS update?"

    A. "No, but if you want us to update your iOS thats an extra $10"

    And they continued to explain to me that only in an absolute circumstance that my device failed the diagnostic test or they ruin my phone (and have it replaced with their insurance) that my phones iOS would change.

    After signing and week later, I went back to hand in my phone. The same afternoon it was done and I unlocked my phone in relief to see that my apps were still there and that I was still on iOS 10.2.

    Details about device:

    • The problem: Never changed APN settings
    • What I've tried so far: Googled all the way to change APN but not working
    • List of tweaks: TetherMe for iOS 8+
    • Recently installed/updated package(s): TetherMe for iOS 8+, Network Command, inetutils

    Already using TetherMe on iPhone 7 (iOS 11.1) and works great without any issue and I Just installed TetherMe on iPhone 5S (iOS 11.2, company phone). This iPhone 5S was Verizon one and unlocked for using T-Mobile.

    7 shows me APN as fast.t-mobile.com but 5S shows me just 'beta', and tried to change APN as fast.t-mobile.com - never changed. 5S uses hotspot data, no override .....

    Anyone knows how to change it???????
