| Ipad Mini 2 Bootloops and fuzzy apple logo Posted: 20 Nov 2018 11:49 PM PST I have an IPad mini 2 that shuts down for no apparent reason. This is after an update to ios 12. It sometimes get stuck in a bootloop, followed by the occasional fuzzy/scanlined apple logo. At times, there's also some purple and green mixed in with the logo. I've managed to turn it on by connecting it to itunes and have it updated and restored. It works fine when connected to the charger, else it'll just shutdown and bootloop again. This takes somewhere from 10 minutes to 1-2 hours of usage without a charger. [link] [comments]  |

It didn't work with them on, either. I'm on WiFi, but it happens when I'm on LTE as well. I never had this problem with my iPhone 7. Using the app "GIF keyboard." The app is "turned on" so to speak, and I've allowed full access. Running 12.0.1. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app to no avail. Unsure if the problem exists when sending to androids, i haven't tried it. Anyone else had this issue and if so how did they fix it? [link] [comments]  |
| Iphone not connecting to anything except email. Posted: 20 Nov 2018 08:53 PM PST My wife is over in china, and as things go shes not having a good time with the internet. Everything was working fine on expressvpn, and all the sudden her network is going haywire. She can't connect to wifi, she would hear or see notifications for wechat or facebook messenger, but not be able to reply. Now only one vpn app connects and she can't connect using wifi at all. I'm a little lost if possibly a VPN messed up her settings. I had her do a reset all settings, and reset network settings but it doesn't appear to have changed anything. Obviously, she reset a ton of times. Can anyone give me some suggestions of what to have her try? [link] [comments]  |
| Cleaning up photos in iPhone through mac photos Posted: 20 Nov 2018 03:24 PM PST My iPhone memory was full of a bunch of unorganized pictures (about 5000 in camera roll, 800 in photo stream, lots in folders whatsapp, then a couple moved to specific folders). I imported all of them into mac's photos app (into 1 folder named "iPhone") and deleted all of the superfluous ones. If I delete my whole camera roll on my iPhone, then drag & drop the trimmed down collection from the created iPhone folder back into the iPhone through mac photos, then - would they reappear back into camera roll (with all details, geolocation, chronologically, etc.)? - would iPhone still make the distinction between videos, panoramas, selfies, animated, screenshots, etc.? - I'd imagine pictures added to created subfolders on my iPhone would no longer appear there & I'd have to add them again, correct? Details: - iPhone SE with iOS 12.1 - MacBook Pro with macOS 10.14.1 Thanks in advance for any help! [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone bricked for seemingly no reason. Posted: 20 Nov 2018 10:24 AM PST Hi, My girlfriend's iphone 7 bricked itself while in her pocket. She took it to a repair shop and they didn't manage to do anything to it, neither could I. I've tried to restore it "normally" via itunes, which resulted in an error 6. I'm currently downloading an .ipsw file and trying to use that, but other than that, I have no ideas left. | After WhatsApp upgrade yesterday, the Camera App - bacground audio drained my battery in a few hours Posted: 20 Nov 2018 03:32 AM PST Haven't used Camera at all, received few messages in WhatsApp, the iPhone X became so hot and in Settings -> Battery I have Camera (audio) at the top, using 79% of the juice. Restart didn't help. At first it seemd fine, but as one single message arrived the phone started getting hot and battery went down like 1% every few minutes. After disabling Camera access for WhatsApp in Settings -> Privacy everything is back to normal. Anything else I can do? [link] [comments]  |
| Mail sub folders showing no mail even though there is mail inside Posted: 20 Nov 2018 05:01 AM PST Hi there i am having a problem with the mail on my iphone SE, i had long had a cluttered email with 100s of unread emails and 1000s of opened ones. so one day i decided to take control and have a good old sort through. i had deleted all of the useless emails but for the ones i needed to keep i had created sub folders to store the emails in, 'orders' 'invoices' 'important' etc everything was great for a couple of days and any time i had received an email i swiftly moved it into the correct folder or deleted it as necessary. now funnily enough all of the emails that i had stored in the 'important' folder are nowhere to be seen. the folder is still there but there are no emails inside. i then logged into my Hotmail on the computer and seen that all of the sub folders and more importantly the emails where there. i then tried to move an email into the 'important' folder which it showed as being moved into the folder on my computer, but still nothing on my iphone. am i doing something wrong, the emails were definitely in the folder when i first moved them but have since dissapeared, i would appreciate any help. thank you. | Possible to remotely monitor chrome’s incognito web browsing on an iPhone? Posted: 20 Nov 2018 04:28 AM PST Just as the title suggests i have a feeling my iPhone is being remotely monitored, though I could be wrong. The reason I believe so is because i was watching some good ol' porn with no sounds in chrome's incognito mode (i'm a damn adult in my early 20s) and not even 1 minute in and my sister comes downstairs into my room and states "i need to check something...". She just went in my closet for 5 seconds and left. Of course it could be a huge coincidence but I don't think so especially because she likes to "spy" on people. My iPhone has no pw on it so i feel like she could've installed some hidden app or something along those lines that can monitor my screen or monitor chrome's incognito. I know this isn't a huge issue but i feel like it's a breach of privacy. Also, I'm pretty sure my iPhone isn't jail broken.
