All but one photo from 2 dates have disappeared Posted: 01 Nov 2018 11:56 PM PDT Returned from a weeklong vacation and have shared and looked at these photos several times. Today I realized the photos from 10/16 have all (save 1) disappeared. Same goes with 10/18. Both dates had approx. 25 photos each. The missing photos aren't in the deleted or hidden files. iCloud is and was turned on. These photos don't appear in iCloud nor do they in google photos backup. Completely stumped. Any tips or suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Possible to see battery health before setting up an account on iPhone 6+? Posted: 01 Nov 2018 05:32 PM PDT Bought a used iphone 6+ for kicks and trying to decide what to do with it. Is it possible to somehow see the battery health before putting an account on it so I can decide whether I want to use the phone or replace the battery first? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Nov 2018 08:15 PM PDT Hi there. I have an iPhone 6 that had been showing signs that the battery was getting bad. It used to turn off itself for about ten seconds (black screen and little wheel) then booted up back to normal. When my iPhone got glitchy, I used to do a hard reset (sleep and home button for a few seconds) then it turned back up normally. yesterday, I repeated the process, but only to find out that now my phone won't turn back on!! it stays in the apple logo for what seems to be a constant loop. Its like its trying to turn itself on but it can't. A while goes by and it runs out of battery. I took it to a phone repair shop and they told me it was the battery, so I had it replaced. The problem still persists, as the technician told me that the problem was no longer with the battery, but with the iPhone's internals. He told me that the only way of turning it on again was by restoring it completely. I don't want to lose my data on my iPhone!! I have good memories, photos, notes and more important things. I care more about the iPhone's data than the actual phone. I am an idiot for not backing the data up nor having iCloud on. My question is: If my iPhone is dead, is there a way of recovering the data? If not, can I fix it somehow without losing all my data? Note: iPhone is not completely dead, just stuck in an endless apple logo loop. Any help would be appreciated!!! [link] [comments] |
iCloud photos disappeared from computer (windows 10 PC) Posted: 01 Nov 2018 01:38 PM PDT I used to have an iCloud photos folder with a downloads and uploads folder within under 'this PC' where you would find your C drive and other drives in windows 10 but it disappeared recently for seemingly no reason and I don't know how to get it back? Sorry if this sounds vague, any help is appreciated thanks! [link] [comments] |
iPhone 6s died and wont turn on Posted: 01 Nov 2018 01:29 PM PDT It was connected to the charger and i was using it and it randomly turned off. I've tried letting it charge for over an hour and resetting it 3 different ways but nothing works. Sometimes the battery will pop up saying its getting charged but it goes away after a few seconds. Can anyone help me with this? [link] [comments] |
Just updated to iOS 12.1 on iPhone X and now lock screen won't open Posted: 01 Nov 2018 08:07 AM PDT Help! After installing 12.1 and self-restarting, my on-screen buttons for my passcode don't work! Other parts of the screen are responsive, mostly on the bottom half of the screen (for example, flashlight and "Cancel" buttons work but Power Down slider does not). I can't log in because Face ID requires passcode upon restart. Soft-resetting with the volume button sequence is not working. What can I do? [link] [comments] |

iPhone 7 Not Recognising Headphones When Plugged In Posted: 01 Nov 2018 05:23 AM PDT My iPhone 7 is only 3 and a half months old, which was a replacement for my old iPhone 7 that actually had the battery explode when the Apple Authorized Service Providers in my city tried to change the battery (first time it ever happened apparently). Very recently, my iPhone 7 has started failing to recognise that my headphones are plugged in. For a period of time, the headphones will work, but then my phone will for some odd reason disconnect them and won't let the headphones reconnect. I have rebooted the phone several times, problem still exists. I have tried turning the phone off, waiting for a bit and then turning it back on, problem still hangs around. I have tried cleaning the lighting port out with a toothpick and some Isopropyl Alcohol, the problem still hangs around. I'm a bit reluctant to take it to my Apple Authorized Service Provider because I don't want to end up waiting days for my phone to get fixed and to be honest, I am a bit nervous about it. Are there any other ways to try to fix my phone? Is it possible to fix it on my own? Or should I just take it to the tech store and ask for it to be fixed? EDIT: I forgot to add that I have tried other headphones and they still do the same thing. Also, my Bluetooth is always off. I don't use it for Audio purposes EDIT 2: From the comments, here's what's happened so far:
EDIT 3: Well, after trying my PS4 Platinum Headset with the 3.5mm Headphone Jack to Lightning Adapter, Headphone functionality has been restored to my phone. Should I get the Lightning Port or Audio Chip in my phone repaired? [link] [comments] |
