    Yesterday I got a notification about a close sports score from the TV app inviting me to switch over. A) it disrupted my zen like immersion in the Westworld season finale and b) Since I record my games, I consider that a massive spoiler and want to turn it off. Can these notifications be silenced somehow?

    Netflix Subtitles - Change Appearance

    Hi - I am trying to figure out if there's a way to change the subtitle appearance for Netflix.

    I have tried going to accessibility and then adjust the subtitle setting. That worked for other apps like YouTube and Amazon but no such luck for Netflix.

    Appreciate any help and input on this!

    Whatever Vudu did with their Apple TV app

    Has improved the raised blacks and bland colors I've been seeing over the past weeks!! It had been a problem since TVos 12, but Vudu has finally fixed it! I knew it was Vudu, cause Netflix, Prime nor iTunes was giving me the same problems!

    Is there a way to manually separate seasons of a tv show when you buy the complete series?

    I bought the complete series of The Office right now and it's showing the entire series as just "season 1" with over 100+ episodes. I'd rather it look like I bought each individual season because it'd be easier to sort and search through.

    HELP! Apple TV Gen 2 won’t play video on netflix, but plays audio

    Hey,

    First time posting here. So I've ran into a very difficult problem here regarding my Apple TV Gen 2. Somehow, Netflix and other apps as such will only play audio, but no video. I've got and old Apple TV Gen 1 (which is logged into the same accounts) which steams video and audio seamlessly. The Gen 2 streams content from youtube seamlessly though.

    I have changed HDMI-cables three times, with three different ones. Even changing which end in plugged into the TV and which HDMI-port it's plugged into. I've even tried to reboot and factory reset my gen 2, but nothing seems to work.

    Any ideas/tips/tricks?

    Edit: gen 1 works flawlessly, and I have no troubles with it. Airplay on Mac, iPad and iPhones still can't stream content via Gen 2.

    Another edit: Gen 2 worked flawlessly until yesterday.

    Die Hard Movies not upgrading to 4K?

    Today I was looking at cheapcharts and it says that 3 of the Die Hard movies where upgraded to 4K in the last week. So I checked my library and I still have Die Hard (upgraded last year) and now I have Die Hard with a Vengeance as well. But Die Hard 2 was not upgraded and neither was A Good Day to Die Hard. Did anyone get either of them upgraded? It could be cheapcharts doesn't have to correct information or they had to be pulled for a bit.

    4k remote trackpad sucks

    I have owned Apple TVs for years since gen2. I have a gen 4 that the remote that works perfectly.

    I bought a 4K model a few months ago and the track pad scrolling hangs up and then slingshots. Constant "remote disconnected" messages. I know it is a remote issue because when I use my tv remote that I've programmed, it works flawlessly. Tried pairing and repairing and still the same.

    I thought it was an issue with just this one remote until I bought another 4K model for my basement this week. Same thing! Worked great day one but now it is hanging up and wont scroll intermittently.

    Bring back a wheel remote option!!!!!

    Alternate remote controls that allow force-close of apps.

    I have 2 4th gen non-4K ATVs, with one of them I have my Harmony 650 remote programmed to control most functions, but the one thing I cannot do is force-close apps when they are misbehaving. Anyone know of other remotes that can control that function? I think the ATV remote sucks, as does the remote control app on iPhone. Newer Harmonys? Or another brand?
