| Posted: 14 Nov 2018 10:34 PM PST Got a new ATV 4K 64GB that i was hoping to use primarily as a continuous photo slideshow. I've connected it to my iCloud Photo Library, set that as my Screensaver and was hoping to just have it shows photos all day, every day. I set the Sleep to "Never" however no matter what i try it always seem to go to sleep after a few hours, leaving a black screen. It will also randomly start showing photos for a few mins and then go back to a black screen. It also seems to wake up as soon as i touch a button on the remote, start playing the screensaver and then fade to black. I've gone through every setting trying to see if i missed something but still no luck. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |

And if not I know I can connect it to the tv itself (Sony tv) could I play games with a controller that connected to the tv? And do you know any better streaming services from pc? Didn't realize how loud I had the TV because when it kicked over to my sound bar it had Mack yelling at Frank pretty loud 😀. Woke my boy down the hall, luckily he went back to sleep after a few minutes. Anyways, if anyone from apple reads this it would be awesome if there was some on screen notification when battery level on headphones go below 10% or pause when they shut off due to battery dying. These are beats headphones so there does seem to be some integration with my iPhone regarding battery level. [link] [comments]  |

| Speakers in a Separate Room From Apple TV Posted: 14 Nov 2018 07:28 PM PST I have an Apple TV 4 hooked up to the TV in my living room. I simply want to install a pair of wireless speakers in the dining room that will play whatever is currently coming out of the Apple TV. Big speakers I would install in the corners of the room to play music over a family dinner or a party. I do not want to airplay to these speakers from my phone. I don't care if the TV has to be on or off. I don't care if the audio is coming out of the TV and those speakers or if it can only do one at a time. (Well, maybe I'd like the audio to come out of both at the same time, so that I can have every room of the house playing something for my guests.) I basically just want wireless speakers that will connect to the Apple TV vis Bluetooth and route the audio to them. Can I do this with any speaker that is Bluetooth capable? Does anybody have a particularly good recommendation for the set up I am asking about? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 14 Nov 2018 04:44 PM PST When at a search bar, searching for material on the ATV4k it would automatically pop up on the screen on my 6s. I could then type in search terms on my phone. When I upgraded to an iPhone XS, the search bar no longer automatically pop ups on my phone. Instead I have to open the ATV widget and it will then prompt me for searching. Is there a setting I'm missing? or is that the way it is now? [link] [comments]  |
| Can’t program universal remote Posted: 14 Nov 2018 04:38 PM PST Hope you all can help. I have spectrum, and just got their universal remote. Can program my old pioneer receiver and LG 4K tv just fine, but the Apple TV 4K HDR won't even try to learn the new remote. The remote is UR5U-8780L-TWM. I had (and still haven't canceled yet) Cincinnati Bell, and had no issues programming their universal remote, the 2056-cxx. I was trying to program through the AUX input on both, but cannot get the spectrum remote to engage with the Apple TV. Any thoughts? It's very frustrating. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

| Weird issue with ATV 4 AirPlay, wondering if anyone else is having it? Posted: 14 Nov 2018 09:17 AM PST When I AirPlay a live stream from iOS it pauses immediately after it plays. Almost like something is blocking it? I have a 32gb 4K ATV running TVOS 12.1 and iPad and iPhone running iOS 12.1. Just recently, whenever I try to airplay a live stream from iOS to ATV it will pause immediately and if I hit play again, it will keep pausing immediately, turning the ATV screen black for a second and then returning to previous screen. The AirPlay stream works fine when I mirror from MBP to ATV, but it never works from iOS even though I can stream directly to iPad and iPhone, it just screws up when I try to bring AirPlay into the picture. I'm curious first, if anyone else is having this problem, because I can normally find support on my issues in the apple community, it seems this time like I'm the only one having this problem, because there are no other threads on this issue, here or on support forums. I've already tried power cycling, resets, iOS software updates, adjusting all the video/audio settings, WiFi router troubleshooting, etc. it seems like a systematic issue. If you have any idea how to fix this please don't hesitate to throw it in here, no matter how crazy. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
