    everything now feels more smooth and smooth animation, But some people are complaining about slower face ID? I personally haven't noticed anything while unlocking, its good.

    Since iOS 12.1 I keep accidentally triggering Siri when trying to wake my XS

    On iPhones without home button Siri gets triggered with a long press of the power button.

    Since the iOS 12.1 update I keep triggering Siri by accident multiple times a day when I try to wake up the phone - even when only pressing the power button for a short time.

    Anyone else seeing this ?

    Side button triggering Siri too quickly

    Has anyone noticed that pressing the side button triggers Siri much, much quicker? I have noticed the issue especially when picking up the phone, where I would accidently press the side button while picking it up.

    The issue showed up with iOS 12.1.

    Siri Shortcuts cant open Google maps from the Lock / Notification Screen

    So I was really excited when Apple introduced Shortcuts. It's too much fun and looked easy.

    I designed this shortcut to do 3 specific things.

    1. Set Device Volume and Start Playing Podcasts
    2. Get Directions to my work place on Google Maps
    3. Turn off WiFi

    Very basic shortcut. It used to work on and off. But one day it just wouldnt work.

    The Google Maps just wont open.

    I tried deleteing every ither command. Just keeping the Google Maps Command.

    Two Steps - Text Input + Show Directions

    Now, when I run the shortcut from within the Shortcuts App. It functions properly. But when I try to run it from the Widget on the Lock/Notification Screen. Shortcuts just wont open Google Maps. It's annoying me. Please help.

    Hello,

    I've been an Android user for years now. Unfortunately, I'm starting to feel like Apple is starting to be the lesser of two evils here. I've made the decision to pick up an XS Max this weekend and to start trying to go Apple.

    I've used iOS devices before, troubleshoot-wise and for family, so I'm relatively familiar with layout changes and what default app is what, but I'm hoping I could get some advice on other things to consider when converting over.

    I'm hopeful the 'Move Data to Android' stuff will work for me to move all the important stuff over, like Contacts, Messages, etc.

    What I'm wondering is if there are any helpful tips on things like, when big sales are on iOS apps, what apps are useful and would better replace the stock apps, any nuances I should know about when using the phone, etc.

    Honestly, most of the standard use stuff I can get used to, it's going to hurt to lose my purchases, save data, etc. but I'll live - what I'm looking for is how to best get acclimated and pretty much back to where I was on Android, just on iOS.

    Cannot restore to iOS 12.0.1 on an i6+, logs from idevicerestore included.

    So basically I couldn't restore with iTunes (was getting stuck at approx 70% while sending the filesystem and greeting with error number 14) then I tried with idevicerestore (I compiled that shit just for that) which proves there's a problem with the restore file. I downloaded the ipsw twice so the problem is not because of some corrupted file stuff.

    Here's the log.

    Does anyone else also experience this?

    iOS 12.0.1: not getting notifications at all

    I get some, like if I have a calendar event scheduled or google maps has route guidance on. but nothing from apps like messenger, iMessage, WhatsApp (among others). like, at all. does this have anything to do with grouped notifications? do I not get a notification at all unless a few of them stack up? help please! (I have an iPhone 6s)

    Calendar “time to leave” notifications turned off on phone, but show on watch which supposed “mirrors” phone notifications

    The "time to leave" notifications are really tedious as they are created for events without a location, for events that have travel time set to "none".

    A really useless feature, poorly implemented.

    So on the phone I have this turned off.

    But the watch keeps sending me random calendar "time to leave" notifications.

    Ask Siri how long it will take to get somewhere, after the word "Via" does she speak backwards or sound like she is slurring? Just updated to 12.1.1, but it was happening before that too.

    I have gone into the Background App Refresh settings option and turned off background data access for the Tile app as it drains the battery when left running in the background. Despite the fact I have it turned off for Tile, I just checked in the battery app and it shows 7 min on screen time and 1 hour and 10 minutes in the background. Why?

    Screentime "power bug" fixed?

    As many reported here and elsewhere (including me), the new Screentime feature created a situation of heavy battery drain for many users (it did on both my iPhone 7 and iPad 2018). Anyone who had this bug as I did, has the newest iOS update fixed that issue? I think Screentime can be a useful feature, but I don't want to use it if it results in heavy drain...

    Something really weird with XS MAX screen

    So be with me with this one please. I got my iPhone Xs max about a week ago, unfortunately I got one with yellowish tint screen, a couple days ago I replaced my self the iPhone (I work at a Genius Bar) and evening was blueish and fine. When I got home I restored from iTunes backup with my PC (yes I'm a PC person) and all of the sudden the yellow screen is back! Last year I got an iPhone x, also with yellowish screen (yep no luck) and replaced it, the difference is, I restored from iTunes backup from a MacBook air (to the new x, not the yellow one) and everything was fine. What I want to ask you is this.. is it possible that iTunes backup from a PC can bring back a yellow screen? I know it's a stupid question, but I'd love to hear some thoughts.

    Looking for an app to easily schedule my shifts/tasks for work

    Hello there guys! I'm looking for an app to easily organize my work schedule. I work as a pharmacy technician in an hospital and there's multiple tasks assigned to me. One day I can start at 7:30, the other at 8:00 and the other at 8:30. So I'd like to be able to copy/paste my shift to the right days. I've seen Shift Worker on the AppStore but it hasn't been updated since 2015. I have an iPhone X running iOS 12.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
