I just copied the new Apple Store screensaver loop for Mojave! Posted: 30 Oct 2018 08:20 AM PDT https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-oH5cmi0aiFdLX7UZ0z8H_WJnwIgvs_m I think it's pretty. Not sure if this is documented online anywhere, but you can copy these videos from On any computer in the Apple Store. I just GDrive'd it to myself. Enjoy! Edit: If anybody is interested in older videos, starting around 2015, I have a pretty good collection. I regularly go into Apple Stores and copy the current ones :) Edit 2: The majority of my collection of Apple Store demo videos is here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1UGVz1nrrbRMthbPX4uW_aQHk6o-YlDWr [link] [comments]

Safari Fingerprinting Protections Posted: 30 Oct 2018 07:06 PM PDT So according to the EFF's Panopticlick tool, my Mac is still very unique. I thought Apple was addressing this to NOT show extensions, etc with Mojave. How do I enable these features? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2018 08:51 PM PDT Does anyone have some suggestions for apps, or anything or that matter, that enhances how you use your Mac, or how your Mac works. [link] [comments]

Mojave 10.14.1 update installation - facetime camera light on during latter half of process Posted: 30 Oct 2018 12:46 PM PDT It was surprising and a little disconcerting. I allowed it to finish, and when it was finished, the light was off. The installation said it would take around 45 mins, but completed in less than 15. Machine is an iMac Pro. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2018 07:49 PM PDT Hey! So, I've recently changed the way I use my two displays (built-in 13 inch retina display and a 21,5 inch LG) from being side by side to stacked vertically, as seen here. The problem is, even though my LG monitor (top) is set as the default display, when I arrange them correctly macOS ignores the default monitor and instead treats the bottom-most display as the default one. I'd understand having the dock on the bottom, but what bugs me is that when I open an app it always shows up on the "should be secondary" display. Is there any way to force macOS to assign the proper roles to the displays? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2018 07:45 PM PDT The fonts on my 1440p monitors (Dell U2515H) look terrible. It looks fine on the Macbook display. I've seen some people complain about it but I've found no fix.. anyone got anything? tks! [link] [comments]

Any Free Ad Blocker That Can Hide Elements ? Safari 12 Posted: 30 Oct 2018 02:18 PM PDT Since Safari 12 , the (Free) ad blocking plugins i tried cannot disable/hide selected elements on websites. 1Blocker seems to be able to do that but it's not cheap. Do you guys have any suggestions for me ? (I need to hide annoying banners and side boxes on some sites) [link] [comments]
airplay is not so useful any longer Posted: 30 Oct 2018 04:47 PM PDT When I use Airplay as two separate displays ... and then try to fullscreen youtube or netflix on one of the screens ... it now takes up both. This is new behavior. And I don't know how to disable it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2018 04:41 PM PDT I have a brand new iMac (21.5", 2017 model). I am on the latest build (Mojave 10.14) and whenever I send an iMessage or text through the iMessage application, I get the "spinning rainbow wheel" and the text takes 10-15 seconds to send. I tried searching online and on the Apple forums but cannot seem to find anyone else experiencing this. Does anyone here have any ideas? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2018 02:39 PM PDT Hi all! I need some help installing windows 10 home on my late 2013 MacBook Pro. I can't find any simple way to install it, so I figured I might as well ask here! I have a 1TB SSD, so storage shouldn't be a problem. Can anyone guide me step by step on how to do it? I keep seeing guides on youtube where you don't need a flash drive to do it and I want to do it that way. However, I can't and I try to use my 16gb USB. Please, help me because this is making me lose my mind. [link] [comments]

MacBook 2012 new MacOs white screen Posted: 30 Oct 2018 01:49 PM PDT Hey guys, ever since the newest update of the MacOs for 2012 , I've been getting random white screens, looks like GPU failure, but then the os loss and it looks like normal. Posted: 30 Oct 2018 01:47 PM PDT I've uninstalled Visual Studio for Mac with Xamarin. Then I've noticed an Xcode in Launchpad. The icon is dark and when I move it to Trash, nothing happens. Same with holding it until X appears. When opened, nothing happens. [link] [comments]
MacBook Pro still run hot on Mojave? (15in, Mid 2015) Posted: 30 Oct 2018 07:26 AM PDT Just wondering if temps were comparable from Sierra to Mojave. If my MBP runs hotter on Mojave I don't want to upgrade. [link] [comments]
Is there a way to sync shared folders without using a cloud service? (Windows <-> MacOS) Posted: 30 Oct 2018 08:46 AM PDT I have a desktop i use regularly which has massive storage capacities. I use this almost exclusively when i want to get in the zone and get work done at home. Pretty frequently however, I also use a MacBook Pro. I have a shared folder on the windows PC that i save files to and open files from when im at home, but when i need to take the file away from home i end up having to copy paste it, or save as into a folder on the MBP desktop. Not a big deal but inevitably you end up with multiple copies of each file. Then you cant remember which is latest etc. Im hoping theres a "dropbox-like" way to have the folders sync with each other without having to actually involve a cloud service. Does anyone have a solution for this? [link] [comments]
New user, I'm a GNU/Linux guy and I don't understand Finder. Posted: 30 Oct 2018 12:29 PM PDT Hi. Today I'd bought my first Mac. I'm using it for just 45 mins or so, and there's one thing I can't understand, and didn't find an alternative. And that's "Finder". There are three basic things that it doesn't do: show hidden files (the ones that starts with a dot), explore freely the hard disk, and... create a file. Is there any alternative? Extra: also didn't found a Guake or Yakuake (dropdown terminal that opens with a keyboard shortcut). [link] [comments]

Option to pin folders to the top? Posted: 30 Oct 2018 12:09 PM PDT Is there an option / tweak that could pin folders / subfolders to the top? If not that would be a great addition to os right? [link] [comments]
