Posted: 04 Oct 2018 08:30 AM PDT I know the process for getting videos to show on my sd card and then transferring them to my iPad and have successfully done it in the past. Since the update, I can't do it anymore. Did they change something? Process: Videos have to be m4p format Put them in a DCIM folder File name is 8 characters Doesn't work anymore. | Quick battery drain in iOS 12? Posted: 04 Oct 2018 11:04 AM PDT So, I have an iPad 2018, and of course, iOS 12. I've been using it for a month now no worries. However, today, I had REALLY quick drain, from 100% this morning to 25% 5 screen hours later. 50% of the usage was Pages and Notes. Are those two really power hogs? I checked display brightness and that was its usual setting, so, no idea. I haven't changed what's running in the background. Thoughts? Or just a glitch? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Question about pop ups from Facebook Posted: 04 Oct 2018 05:53 AM PDT I use the Facebook app and every once in a while when I click on a link to a story I get a popup that tries to get me to click an "OK" button inside a message that tells me I've won something. The only way to escape without clicking the OK button is to close the app completely. Are these pop ups coming from the site hosting the story or can an iPad get the same type of malware that Windows PCs get, which cause pop ups that are unrelated to the page the browser is visiting? I have to use Windows as a desktop for such apps as solidworks, autocad, etc. My thoughts were that I could fold the ipad into a symbiotic relationship with my desktop. However it's not proving to be easy. But I can't quite put my finger on why. One thing is for some reason I can't make chrome the default browser on the iPad it seems. | Making multiple crops on/copies of a single image (problem sets/end of chapter ?s) Posted: 03 Oct 2018 02:32 PM PDT I'm currently loving my ipad pro as a college student and the only limitation I've come across so far is not being able to create multiple crops of a single image (or copy and paste parts of an image) so that I can copy specific problems from my text and put it on notability. Yeah, I can certainly paste the whole page, but there's not enough room and going back and forth between apps is not as inconvenient. Does anyone know of a faster way than making N screenshots for N problems? [link] [comments]  | ||

Been using Notability for university, and as a science major, it has been a game changer for assignments and class notes. That said, one flaw I've noticed is the limitations in typing options... I'm trying to type up a chemistry lab report, which I love because I'm able to also draw in structures with my Apple Pencil on my iPad Pro. However, it is required to have 1.5 line spacing, and Notability seems to only allows for single spacing... [link] [comments]  | ||
