Finally SnowBoard has been released, getting rid of anemone is amazing and my phone runs so so much faster with all the same themes. This is beautiful. Easy to use as well as icon resizing and corner radius customizing. This combines so many of my tweaks into one

[Tip] New to jailbreaking? Here’s a guide on how to identify fake jailbreaks.

    Posted: 04 Oct 2018 09:04 AM PDT

TLDR: No jailbreaks for 11.4-12 yet, Safari-based jailbreaks, Pangu8 and YaluJailbreak, how a video is formatted, surveys and/or App Store downloads. For more in-depth information, read on.

If you're new to the jailbreak scene or are looking into how you'd go about jailbreaking, there's no doubt you've seen an insane amount of YouTube videos and other tutorials claiming to have a method of jailbreaking iOS firmwares. While many of these are legit, there's even more that exist solely to waste your time or do something that could be malicious (though that last one I'm not too sure about, as I've not tested some of the tutorials provided by these YouTube videos). If you're new to jailbreaking and want to know the red flags to look for, I wrote up this guide based on the videos and other jailbreak tutorials I've seen.

-Videos claiming to have stable jailbreaks for iOS 11.x.x-12.x: We don't currently have any public exploits for 11.4.1 or 12.

-Videos/articles claiming to have a jailbreak requiring "no computer": Unless the article/video explicitly mentions that it's for iOS 10.0-10.3.3, it's most likely false. The last time we had a Safari-based jailbreak was iOS 10, and there currently doesn't exist one for iOS 11.x.x-12.x.

-Articles from Pangu8 or YaluJailbreak: definitely false! Pangu8 and YaluJailbreak are very often on the first page when Googling anything about an update on the latest iOS jailbreaks. These sites pose as Pangu and Yalu, who did have legitimate jailbreaking tools for older iOS versions such as 7, but to my knowledge, neither have not been active in the jailbreaking community in the past few years. Even when the legitimate Pangu or Yalu are active, they don't release their exploits. Pangu8 and YaluJailbreak both host fake safari-based exploits such as zJailbreak.

-Format of a video: This one's really important and can be a mixed bag when it comes to what's true and what's fake. I've seen plenty of videos that show a recording of the screen (using the built-in screen recorder introduced in iOS 11) overlaid on a picture of an iOS device, commonly something like an 8 or X, with stock music from some copyright-free labels such as MonsterCat or NoCopyrightSounds. While a very small handful of these are legit, they are for the most part fake and require you to complete a survey or download an app or game from the App Store in order to continue with the jailbreak. Which leads us into…

-Surveys/App Store downloads: Always fake. These surveys can be as innocent as "Coke VS. Pepsi — which do you prefer?" to something like "Register to win a free $1000 Walmart gift card!". I haven't tested these newer versions of the surveys, but I would assume they continue the trend of surveys back in iOS 7, where you had to put in sensitive information and the website would "know if the information you input is fake". In general, these surveys are generally malicious in some form, with scams being most often; either that or they're designed to waste your time (it depends on the survey). Other processes require you to download an app from the App Store (like a VPN or free-to-play game) and perform a specific action, such as signing up for a 7-day free trial or playing until you reach level 10, and you won't be jailbroken unless you do this app-specific action. I don't know what the app has to do with it, but I wouldn't be surprised if these fake jailbreak tutorials were sponsored by certain app developers.

In conclusion, there's a lot you need to keep an eye out for, yes, but it could potentially be a huge help to keep you from wasting your time, money, or getting put on a spam/junk mail list. What I'd personally recommend doing is stay away from YouTube and keep an eye on trusted sources for news on jailbreak updates.

I hope this guide helps those who are new to jailbreaking or are considering it. Happy jailbreaking!

I'm picturing something along the lines of the notifications like on apple maps, but it can be whatever. I know that substitute is disabled, but I've seen tweaks like [[Safemode Sublime]] that modify the safe mode experience, so I know that you can do some stuff with it.

When using SnowBoard, if I open an app, it works, but then closing the app and trying to launch it again reboots the phone. No crash suspects but only happens with SnowBoard installed.

    [Help] Can‘t rejailbreak for days

    Posted: 04 Oct 2018 10:55 PM PDT

Hey Guys, I have a Problem my phone went out of battery and after the restart I couldn't rejailbreak again first try: it got until step 2 and then rebooted instead of a respring like normaly. Second try: until step 1 and than a reboot Every try after just until step 1

So my first Question is what would you do now, and my second one is: would [Settings > general > reset > Erase all content and settings] completely erase the jailbreak?

I've been on 9.0.2 since the jailbreak was released for it. Stupidly missed the random IOS re-sign that happened earlier this year and would like to reset/refresh my phone. Can I do this without using itunes and having it upgrade to 12 since theres no JB yet?

[Help] Cydia sources taking too long to refresh

    Posted: 04 Oct 2018 10:25 PM PDT

Just to start things off, I'm currently running Meridian on an iPhone 7 Plus, 10.3.2. I'm having an issue refreshing my sources in Cydia (they seem to keep loading forever). However, when in Safe Mode, all the sources load with no issues. That leads me to believe that there's a tweak giving me grief perhaps. I'll attach photos of my tweak/source list below. If anyone has any suggestions/resolutions it would be greatly appreciated.

[Question] Is there a tweak that lets me make my icons look like this I remember having it but I forgot what it was

    Posted: 04 Oct 2018 06:50 PM PDT

[Request] Feature Request for SmallSiri tweak, combine [[SmallSiri]] with [[AutoDismissSiri]] and make it only dismiss itself if it's in small banner mode and won't dismiss if in full Ul mode.

    Posted: 05 Oct 2018 12:38 AM PDT

This way when Siri is in banner mode, it will dismiss after the custom period and if it was in full Ul mode it will remain until it's dismissed manually.

For example, you're looking at some content inside Siri, it won't dismiss automatically and if you're having it in banner mode it'll go away after finishing its sentence.

What do you think? If you like it please bring it to attention. So the devs of this tweak could see this.

    Thanks!
