Posted: 26 Sep 2018 06:40 PM PDT I had this issue in High Sierra for almost a year. Youtube was very slow and would take 3-4 seconds to load a page and every time I would click the back arrow it would go to the previous page for a second and then refresh the page. It's also way faster that it ever was in High Sierra, hope it stays this way. [link] [comments]

User-created Dynamic Desktops for Mojave? Posted: 26 Sep 2018 03:51 AM PDT The sand dune looks nice, but will get boring after a while. Has anyone found any other user-created dynamic desktops? So far I've found this one of the Earth from space. Any others? [link] [comments]
There is NO iTunes with app store for Mojave. How can I make backup of the apps (.ipa) on Mojave? Posted: 27 Sep 2018 02:30 AM PDT iTunes is now included in macOS Mojave. The version is 12.9. That means you cannot remove and downgrade the iTunes anymore. Since we cannot use iTunes with app store (support page is no more mentioning about mac version of it) anymore I want to know how can I make a backup of .ipa files on my iPhone. Thanks. Posted: 27 Sep 2018 02:01 AM PDT Not sure if it just me but my MBP is definitely running hotter on Mojave than it was on High Sierra? Another day, another discovery. I'd add this to another of the problems faced with Mojave (eg. lags, freezes, etc) [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Sep 2018 12:55 AM PDT Hi, I've just done a clean install of MacOS Mojave and I can't log into iCloud. I can get to the screen where it asks for confirmation from another device, I enter the 6 digit code, but then it takes me back to the enter an Apple ID screen. Does anyone else have this issue and does anyone know how to fix it? [link] [comments]

macOS Mojave battery drain when sleep on Macbook Pro 13 Posted: 26 Sep 2018 11:32 PM PDT So, I upgraded to Mojave and after one day I noticed that battery drain on sleep now is very fast. I thought that I just forgot to remember % percent, so I did a screenshot when it was 61% (with Cmd+Shift+4 + Space + click) [it screenshoted only background] and go to sleep. Now after 24-36 hours I open my macbook and see only 35% :c on High Sierra it was barely eating 1-3%. Have anyone noticed that too or am I the only who experiences this? Re-installing macOS Sierra 10.12.6 via dosdude1 patch. Anything to uninstall first? Posted: 26 Sep 2018 10:52 PM PDT Im on a MacBook Pro 5,4 Mid 2009. Ive been having a few bugs with my install and was thinking of re-installing Sierra over the current install (not clean) and re-patching it. Ive got night shift enabler installed, is there anything else I need to uninstall or unpatch before I do this? Note: I only updated to Sierra to get iCloud Drive Documents/Desktop syncing so Im not in any need to update to High Sierra or Mojave on this old mac. Thanks! [link] [comments]
'United States (Computer)' missing in High Sierra? Posted: 26 Sep 2018 10:36 PM PDT Hi! I'm new to /r/MacOS/, so I apologize if I can't post this question this way. I wanted to set my word break character to include '_', so if I have a file named 'Hello_World', when I use the Shift + Option + Arrow Keys, it would only select 'Hello' or 'World', not the whole phrase. I looks like in past versions, there was a Language & Region setting to set the region to 'United States (Computer' rather than just 'United States.' However, I can't seem to find this setting in High Sierra (10.13.3). Does anyone know if this feature still exists? Or is it no longer possible? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Sep 2018 09:20 AM PDT Hi all, just as a friendly reminder: if you download Mojave and suddenly your computer is slow, battery life is poor, or applications load slowly... you'll probably want to reinstall before freaking out. Make sure you have a backup! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Sep 2018 03:43 PM PDT On High Sierra, the FileVault login wallpaper would match whatever wallpaper you had set as your desktop. On Mojave, this appears to have changed. Anyone have any luck changing the stock boot wallpaper? [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Sep 2018 09:22 PM PDT Is this machine worth upgrading to Mojave or should I buy another and keep this as a secondary? Main uses are video and photo production. Nothing crazy. [link] [comments]
Dark finder, dock bar, and windows in Mojave mac Posted: 26 Sep 2018 08:45 PM PDT Hi so I have light mode in Mojave on. However I'm noticing the finder windows (file open), the dock bar has darker shades now. What's happening is that the colors are being affected by the color of the wallpaper. This is unlike High Sierra, but quite like IOS. It's quite irritating so I'll find a bright wallpaper so that the colors in the windows and dock bar are lighter and easier on the eyes. Is there any way to disable this feature on Macos Mojave? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Sep 2018 11:00 AM PDT and made them cloud based whilst creating new ones on the computer. The new ones do NOT have the same files as the pre-installation ones. Is this normal? Can I delete the old ones? My ocd will not allow me to have 2 libraries and an old "***'s MacBook Pro desktop" etc. [link] [comments]
Fresh macOS Sierra install before upgrading to Mojave? (Late 2012 Retina MBP) Posted: 26 Sep 2018 03:24 PM PDT I was thinking about getting rid of a ton of files / transferring important stuff to a external hard drive, wiping my MacBook, then upgrading to Mojave? Any tips or suggestions for this? Thanks. [link] [comments]
macOS Mojave bricked my Mid-2012 MBP Posted: 26 Sep 2018 04:37 PM PDT I just upgraded to Mojave, and it was working well until this morning when I woke it up. It wasn't doing anything for a while and eventually completely froze up. Upon rebooting, the internal 1TB HDD was no longer present in the boot menu. In Disk Utility on Internet Recovery I found that the drive no longer shows up, even after reconnecting it multiple times. I also found that other drives still work, such as my PC's SSD; and the HDD still works in other computers. Right now I have it booting Mojave Recovery with the drive plugged in via Target Disk Mode, and I have a Genius Bar appointment soon. I suspect Mojave updated some firmware that ended up breaking the ability to read the drive (it's a Hitachi drive). As a fair warning to everyone upgrading: MAKE SURE TO HAVE BACKUPS BEFORE UPGRADING!!! It's a good thing I made a backup before the upgrade, because I may end up needing it. [link] [comments]
Mojave’s dark mode really isn’t suiting me Posted: 26 Sep 2018 11:35 AM PDT in some cases, changing whole windows into a dark theme sometimes doesn't look all that great to me. I'm curious to know what you guys think. I wish we could keep it light-themed and have an option to have a dark dock and top bar like in HS. [link] [comments] |
