- Safe to buy Apple TV 4k?
Posted: 07 Sep 2018 08:35 PM PDT So I'll use air play mirroring to watch dvds through my MacBook Pro When I do this the video does not take up the whole screen on my tv and there is about a half inch black square all around ( this happens when I mirror anything over from my MacBook but not my iPhone) I've tried changing the display settings but nothing seems to be working Any tips?? Sound just packed its bags and left Posted: 08 Sep 2018 03:41 AM PDT So I was watching my appletv (gen 4) last night, fully working. I wake up today, video but no sound. Tried changing hdmi, full restore, updating and changing related settings - no effect. Does anybody have any tips what I can do or has the device lived out its usefulness? [link] [comments] |
Good Sign or Nothing? (YouTube app) Posted: 08 Sep 2018 12:03 AM PDT I just saw a video in my recommendations that had a little 4K icon under it next to the view count (it wasn't the view count, though, I double checked.) I don't have the debugging thing set up to see what resolution actually plays... but if they're implementing icons in the new interface to set 4K vids apart, does that bode well for the near future? Anyone else noticed this? EDIT- Here's a picture for reference. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Sep 2018 07:06 AM PDT So I know apple has their annual event this month, but are there any rumors of an Apple TV refresh or is it pretty safe to get the 5th gen? My apple tv is waaay outdated (2nd gen) and I'm tired of having to switch between my TV/Xbox etc for various apps and plus the new DC universe will only be on Apple TV/Roku when it launches on the 15th.
