Apple Music should have a feature to report mistakes written in lyrics provided.

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 01:39 PM PDT

See a lot of mistakes that are way off from the lyrics that are properly enunciated in the song.

Apple, if you are seeing this, DM me or something. Love you to the core, but you got a few flaws, Buddy.

Berkshire Hathaway's CEO Warren Buffett Says Apple Offers 'An Extraordinary' Product

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 02:20 PM PDT

Well I agree with Warren Buffett's on this! Apple has managed to keep its brand and products indispensable. (https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2018/09/02/berkshire-hathaways-ceo-warren-buffett-says-apple-offers-an-extraordinary-product/#cb7ee141683c) They constantly stay ahead of the game and has been able to stay "highly desirable" with the products they do. The next big thing will be augmented reality and merging ourselves more towards the digital world!! Would you agree? And of-course, Apple is already onto it ;)

Apple should support single sign-on for websites.

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:02 AM PDT

i'd be far more inclined to switch from google if Apple allowed me to sign into other sites with my Apple ID.

One small thing I hope to see in the future of iOS

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 09:02 AM PDT

I upgraded from an iPhone SE to an iPhone X a few months ago, and by far my favorite detail is the taptic engine matching the ringtones when you select them. The problem is that I prefer the older ringtones (marimba) and wish that they would have the custom haptics as well instead of the default. Hopefully in iOS 13+!

How does iCloud Drive family sharing work with one Mac?

    Posted: 03 Sep 2018 01:45 AM PDT

    Hi all,

I did a search around but can't find an easy answer to this and I'm confused! Could anybody shed any light on this for me please?

I have a 256gb MacBook Pro and a 200gb iCloud Drive storage plan.

Due to the way I work I have to set the MacBook to not offload my files to iCloud, so all my iCloud Drive files are also stored locally on my MacBook too.

I have now started to share my iCloud Drive with my family (and will need to upgrade to 2gb iCloud Drive soon!), my question is - if they upload files to iCloud Drive do they also get stored locally on my MacBook? They don't use my MacBook and don't have logins to it so I would think not but just wanted to be sure they don't fill up my MacBook before I start!

    Thanks for any advice

    Apple TV question regarding MacBooks

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:11 PM PDT

I purchased the Alien Series collection on Blu Ray with the 6 Movies in it and I received a code for each movie, I redeemed them on the iTunes Store on my iPad then they automatically went to the tv app. Same thing happened with my phone. Now I went to check my Laptop a little later down the road and it says I have no downloads. Do I need the TV app on the MacBook? If so where can I find it?

Are you still happy with your iPhone 7 / iPhone 7 Plus?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 03:45 AM PDT

Edit: This is my beloved iPhone 7 Plus together with my Apple Watch Sport I. The display was changed by Apple after an accident and it survived a water breach into the display (everything is working fine and no problems appear). I'm very happy with my Apple devices.

I'm surprised with all the security found in iOS there's no way for us to access a log of when our iPhone/iPad was unlocked.

Is Apple Watch Mac Login faster now?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:03 AM PDT

Is it just me, or is this much faster than before? The amount of time it takes to log into my macbook pro (using my apple watch) differs every time for me, but I've noticed a considerable increase in speed lately. Sometimes, I don't even see the login screen anymore.. I'm just "logged in" the moment I lift the screen open (my watch tells me it just logged in, so I know my mac was previously locked).

Has anybody else noticed this? Was this ever official addressed? or am I just imagining things?

    iMac 2018 - Kuos Rumors

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 05:21 AM PDT

    Hi,

so nobody seems to be interested in that upcoming iMac with (like Kuo said) significant display performance upgrade.

What do you think it could be? It really sounds like ProMotion, and since Apple does their TCONs themself (The 5K iMac had a 40 Gig TCON back in 2014, HDMI 2.1 in comparison which will be out next year is only 8 more (48 gigs) so I think there is a good chance of this.

    Health app re-haul?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 09:09 AM PDT

Finally caved and bought an Apple Watch and loving it.

    BUT

The health app really needs some work. I have bipolar and honestly wanted the watch for health reasons. Track blood rate and exercise, and be more health conscious.

There is no category whatsoever about mental health, which is one of the top health concerns. The sheer amount of apps for mood tracking should be a sign it's something desired.

Also, the interface is not customizable at all. I'm not a woman, don't need a category to track my menstruation. You'd think I could delete that, but nope. It just needs to be there. Instead I have 4 huge ugly squares that could be removed if I choose and just have the favorite tracking points instead.

Besides complaining about their interface and lack of mental health support, is their any word about this?

Been researching about news for the health app, and it honestly seems neglected. I see discussions or threads from 2016 but besides that, nothing with real info.

Anyone here know what's in store for iOS 12 HealthKit?

Any new location-aware setting utilities? Only Sidekick remains - Others are dying/dead

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:55 AM PDT

Long time I ago, I was a fan of Marco Polo. When I'd go to the office, it'd switch networks and printers for me.

Recently, I realized I wanted that capability back - and saw that Marco Polo is...well abandonware. So is Controlplane - it's struggling to stay working.

I just realized I really want the ability of my system to switch various resolutions, depending on where I was. I even found Sidekick, but I don't think it handles monitors.

Is there anyone new working in this space?

How is your iPhone 8+ experience?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 10:45 PM PDT

I saw a discussion about 7/+ users and their happiness with the phone, so I was curious about how the iPhone 8 users are doing with their phones. Has the glass design stayed intact and I cracked after a few drops? Is the front camera portrait mode a game changer? Apparently 7 and 8 are somewhat indistinguishable, does this statement hold true and was it the right decision to spend a more for the newer model?

With the latest Airport Express update, does this mean Airport base stations will at least have minimal support (security updates, compatibility updates), or should I still look into getting a new set of network devices?

    Posted: 02 Sep 2018 03:05 AM PDT

The idea of having to replace hundreds of dollars of network devices is anxiety inducing at best. I'll do it if I have to, but I'd prefer not to if I don't. I just want a good kit of set-it-and-forget-it network devices, but of course I'm not gonna stick with anything that won't be getting security updates at least.

Is Apple completely abandoning their base stations or not?
